I’m a passholder for Sea world Orlando and the manta ride here is much different. It goes in loops there are times when you were upside down and it also feels like you are flying. I also don’t recall the wait times on that one being as long as the manta ride from this video. Usually once you’re seated it takes them no more than a minute or a minute and a half to get the ride started.
@johnnyr8603 Жыл бұрын
For those of you wondering why it takes so long for the ride to start, it because of maintenance and the ride operators ensuring the riders safety. When boarding the people choose their seats and pull the lap bars down. This process takes time along with ride operators making sure the lap bars are secured. Then ride operators contact ride maintenance to make sure that the launch is ready and if the previous train has made it to a certain point on the track. Waiting for the other train on the track is important to allow faster departure times. Once all criteria is met the ride operators then allow the train into the launch and the cycle repeats. Problems may occur during boarding such as a child under the height limit. Which may cause a delay and also varying the wait time. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
@Aether-di6ek Жыл бұрын
Well it doesn't take that long. Usually this kind of wait happens when someone does not fit in the seat. They will usually try for a while to get the first latch but it ends up not happening so they have to let the person off and re open the gates and try again.
@jeremybowles9330 Жыл бұрын
Well it shouldn’t take 3 minutes. Also, they don’t have to contact anybody about a train passing a block zone, the ride won’t allow them to. Also, the computer really controls everything except dispatching the trains.
@gavinrock2452 Жыл бұрын
We know how it works. The fact that it took longer than the whole ride itself is ridiculous. Never once have I or anyone I know been on a coaster that took longer than this. It’s not even that long of a ride 🙄
@blakes100shorts3 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, no, you're pretty wrong. Gavin Rock explained it much better than you did lmao. The next train has to clear the block in front first- it's all controlled by the ride's computer and has nothing to do with "calling maintenance" to "make sure the launch is ready" (??).

Yeah, no, you're pretty wrong. Gavin Rock explained it much better than you did lmao. The next train has to clear the block in front first- it's all controlled by the ride's computer and has nothing to do with "calling maintenance" to "make sure the launch is ready" (??).
Regardless of the actual wait time, the video could have been edited to remove it.
I just went on this for the first time yesterday at the Orlando SeaWorld and it was amazing. I hopped right back in line and did it again in the front row and loved every minute of it!
I just finished watching the video and I would be so disappointed going on this thinking it would be like the Orlando one because it has the same name. No loops? No corkscrews? Sitting upright instead of laying down parallel to the ground?
@@MyLittleCody120 Didn’t you say you did went on the ride irl? what do you mean you WOULD be disappointed? did you mean you WERE disappointed i’m just asking cause i’m genuinely confused sorry
@@MipsyIsMyRealDogLol This one is VERY different from the one in Orlando. The Orlando Manta is amazing because you are lying down parallel to the ground and there are inversions. This is Manta in a different Sea World park, I have not been on the one in this video.
Cool!
@@MyLittleCody120 Where is this version of manta?
This ride actually looks really fun. The tunnel is immersive, and it looks like there’s a few launches!!
This ride looks intense! Great video! I’m gunna check out the rest of your channel!
It is Intense
@@theyoshiboysloophole8350 nah
@@theyoshiboysloophole8350 the electric eel is though
It’s not like manta in Orlando that is way more intense
@@theyoshiboysloophole8350 No it's not
This is one of the coasters that don’t need a big drop to be really exciting.
Once, I went to sea world with my cousin, and there was a short line for this, so we rode it 8 times in a row! We would get off, go on again! And every ride, we made a different pose for the picture!
so i rode Emperor on may 29th and i rode the ride 5 times on that Saturday and once on the 30th and i rope dropped Emperor ran right there got right on
Seeing the curtain rise just before the final launch always made me slightly nervous initially, but after the third run I got comfortable with this.
This coaster looks pretty tame on the outside and only has a max drop of 55ft and speeD of 40mph but still packs a punch somehow. Its my favorite coaster at the park
Now this looks like a nice little coaster that I could handle and enjoy! Might consider riding this one if I ever get to go to this Sea World again.
Its great! So much fun and not too scary, but still manages to be very intense fast and gets loads of airtime.
The thing is, when I was six, I had never gone on a roller-coaster and I decided to choose this one for my first.
Instaaaaant regreeeeeeet (bad choice)
@@mrscollins3983 not your decision lil bro
Loved this coaster, we kept getting back in line , when there was no line !!!
This is like another version of the Velocicoaster As a person who has went on it it’s like a really good ride in Florida Universal Studios It’s incredibly fast you have to wait and you make a stop you hear Velociraptors sounds and then you just go speeding and there’s this really big drop You speed up a lot when you reach it, it’s a really fun ride I’m telling you guys!
But velociraptor goes 70 mph and manta don’t
Manta was my first real roller-coaster! I literally loved it!
Oh wow! I think if there was ONE roller coaster I’d go on, this is it! I’m scared to death of heights and just that climb on most coasters makes me sick to my stomach to watch! This one looks fun!!
At seaworld Orlando the manta there that I’ve been on a lot is much Different. It tilts you back like you’re flying or swimming like a manta and it feels really weird but it fun
I rode this ride. It was so amazing! Definitely recommend if line is shorter than 45 minutes. We had to wait 3 hours
Wow, My best friend, OMG! So wonderful! I really love this! Thank you so much!
Hope they do many things right n keeping folks safe!
they do
by far one of my favs
I kept thinking I don’t remember that preshow section, until I realized I’m watching the wrong manta 🤣
This ride was my first rollercoaster EVER! Def brings back good memories
I went on this on Saturday. It’s a really awesome ride
Looks badass, I’m impressed
I rode this ride back in like 2012 and I was terrified at first bc I absolutely hate airtime which this ride had a bit of but we ended up riding it twice 😂
I’m also a fan of Sea World San Diego I go there for a my bday every year but this year I went to Disney so ima subscribe to you
I just wanna point out that you are a real trooper for sitting in the front row. I can do any roller coaster in the world but do not under any circumstance put me in the front row because I just can’t do it. Too much for me.
i sit in the front every ride so that way i can have a good video also stay tuned for Sept. and maybe this weekend a epic video is coming soon
actually front row is kinda tame most times, just scary if you’re going up a lift hill in front row. Back row gets pulled so it ends up being more intense.
This ride feels wayyy faster and more “whippy” in person
bro i remember when me and my friends went- that was so fun 😭😭
Oh gosh it goes All of a sudden when it goes.❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like how he is like oh great this a baby ride and puts his hand up me I would scream then pass out like how y’all be doing it 😂😂
Lol my man was grunting I remember going on this as a kid and I was scared but my head kept hitting the damn seat head rest on them tight bad turns lol
This doesn't even compare to the orlando version! The orlando version is so much fun
didnt look like it lol. yeah the Orlando version is incredible! maybe san Antonio didnt have the budget
I can hear the screams of hell on the ride XD
Ong you go to seaworld too !? I loveeee the manta ride
Makes me nervous that something’s wrong when waiting is that long.
To me, it looked like it was the first ride of the day with actual Riders
Bro had a stroke writing the last part
2:56 when It actually starts moving
I’ve been on this ride it’s extremely fun the air time is crazy even on little jumps
I love this ride but the only thing I hate is the blast off 😂😫
At outside of the line I am like “this is easy nothing to be scared of” but when I am on the ride, I regret everything 💀
Ah, the screaming in the background is a nice touch
Ride starts at 2:54
Manta is a goofy ahh ride i love it
That looks really fun, I wanna go on it
That looked rough as hell.
Hate coasters because of extreme fear of heights, but I could almost see myself enjoying this one.
I actually went this ride as soon as the park open no line best thing ever.
That ride be going as fast and high as slinky dog 💀
Manta was one of the best rides
The other mantas are the best!
where is this coaster located?
Seworkd!?
I LOVE THIS RIDE SO MUCH I AND ITS SO FAST
3:37 is when it starts the fast portion of the coaster. Thank me later :)
I literally love this ride it’s my favorite ride at the park :) they also change it for Halloween and Christmas in a little tunnel at the begging they show like Halloween animations and Christmas images during Christmas time and it’s so coolAnd also when you get launched out of that tunnel you go so fast it’s crazy I went on the front row of this ride with my best friend and it was so much fun the front row is awesome if you go I would highly recommend
i hate rollercoaster but this one look cool!! i love stingrays(mantas)
Where is this roller coaster? There are less ups and downs than in Japan, but it looks fun! Thanks for the great video! It was fun to see!
Seaworld
Yes this is Seaworld Texas. The one in Orlando is much different and has loops and it feels like you’re flying.
@@johnnyr8603 Nah it's at SeaWorld San Diego
What camera did you record this on?
Awesome.
Dang I wish the Orlando was like this.....not really but I am a rollercoaster scardycat. That loop going backwards just didn't feel so great. Just did it today with my son
That looks soooo much fun
My favorite part about manta is that it goes side to side and that you stop then the ride goes super fast
Nobody: Me before I saw this video: “It’s that uh, uh, uhhhhh, standing coaster. Oh nevermind y’all”
my Entire family went on this ride and i just sat down and waited and my dad said :wow it was a good idea That you stayed here bc that ride was scary as hell. Lol
Me and my dad were going to ride this, but we have waited for almost 2 hours, and we weren’t even halfway there
Hey that's a good idea I can bring my go pro to a roller coaster
i dont have fear of heights and i went on big drop rollercoasters thou, not scared at all! when i was a kid, i was scared but no
I’m remember going on that! It was so fun
Went on this a few years back, the speed was terrifying to a young 3rd grade me.
I remember one time I went on this ride a little girl cried for an hour about how she didn’t want to go on it and everyone had too wait until she either got on the ride and calmed down or waited at the exit.
Which Park is this at?
That looks so fun
I went to seaworld recently, i when me, my mom , and some friends went on the manta, my mom told the roller coaster to slow down 💀✋
That was a long wait.
Manta is my favorite ride at sea world
I regret not going on this ride when my family went to Florida. I developed severe anxiety at around 11, and all because of how sideways that first turn was, I *refused* to go on it. I've since developed a love for coasters. I went on the splash ride though, that then becomes a little coaster? Like 3 times- I was prepared for that one because I already rode Splash Mountain a few days before lol
I went on this ride and it is REALLY scary at first my friend dragged me along with her and I can tell you I was SCREAMING after the ride my friends mom said “I heard someone screaming and I was wondering if it was you” lol
😂👌
@@vincecarterlover911 sorry but couldn’t you have just kept that to yourself….I mean you don’t know what is going on in my life and seeing this comment really makes everything worse please think about this before you say things like this. And by the way THAT WAS MY FIRST ROLLERCOASTER EVER
@@kenziejoy3255 Sorry that that came off as rude it's just that it's not a really intense and I didn't mean it to be mean.
Thats the one i went on with my cousin, aunt, mom, and it went really fast and my stomach was hurting and i started crying.
Bro when you twist it feels like your seatbelt is about to break on you
It gonna be so much fun ❤
Man took 1min and 40 seconds waiting to go
Can u do a dinsey world video?? 🌸🌺
Interesting a coaster that focuses on low to the ground turns, but I still think there could have been a stand out moment, or at least a loop or something
where is this ride
Where is this at? Which Sea World?
I think it’s at the San Diego one
I love this coaster I past out on it lol
Where is this ride located?
Seaworld San Diego
@@spookyandkora Alex : no not san diago
I’ve been on this ride & it’s no biggie 🤣🤣🤣
Ikr the Manta in Florida is way more intense
As someone who hates roller coasters, this made me nervous just watching.
I’d definitely ride that
