  • I love to see this, a sister who looks like me and is middle aged like me. One of these days, I'm hitting the road in a vehicle. Retirement is less than 4 years away. Be safe and continue to live FREE!

  • Its like starting over after a fire. Answer the main questions. A place to sleep, Away to cook, and a to go to the bathroom. I traveled with a trucker for ten months and we lived in the semi. We occasionally spent the night in a hotel for a break. Its amazing how little you really need to get by. ENJOY the trip but relish in the Journey.

I’ve already started by removing the last row of seats and trying to make the window covers. I’m so excited. I’m thinking about going to the beach early one morning and staying the day just to get the feel of it.

  • I would like to travel by van/car but I’m not one who wants to do it alone. So, I would need to have something big enough for two and find me a buddy. Actually I have a sister who would come with me. My problem is a hubby who is spoiled😀and would be always waiting for me to come home. It’s hard when you want to be in two places at one time. And no, he’s not a traveler. I wish. It would be perfect.

  • I traded in my Ford Transit for a Ford Bronco and regret it every day. The main reason why I got rid of my van is because in Maryland, where I live, Vanlife is frowned upon. My two favorite channels once were Crystal Vanner and The Dawn of Van life, and they both are now back in Sticks and Bricks, where I've been the whole time. Peace ✌️

    @gerald4nomads@gerald4nomads28 күн бұрын
    • Hello Gerald! 👋🏾 I totally understand regretting that, but you can still venture out. There are many different ways to do this. I decided I would do it part-time. So I'm never surprised when people decide to change it up from time to time. It's about living the adventure, however it best suits you.

  • I travel with my dog in a crv , I’m planning on buying a minivan soon. Is your van new? I’m not crazy about ford or ram. Have you had any problems with it ? Plus the gas mileage isn’t that good. A rooftop box is great for storage and freeing up space inside your vehicle too. You’re right when you say just go with what you have and you end up tweaking things on every trip. Safe travels.

    @kimdagnillo8246@kimdagnillo8246Ай бұрын
    • Honestly, my desire to stand is the only reason for getting the mid-roof transit. Gas mileage is definitely a factor. The minivan, of course, is superior in gas mileage and totally sufficient for all roadtrip needs.
