Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women each determined to live life on her own terms -- is both timeless and timely. Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

They didnt need to make it real, but it could have been better... somehow. After all, we humans are not consistent creatures, so it was pretty believable for what it was even if Jo was adamant about not marrying in the start. That part could have been reworked, but other than that it's a lovely story, albeit quite sad.

      @superplaylists1616@superplaylists1616 Жыл бұрын
    • @@superplaylists1616 It was technically real I guess? The whole film was basically Jo being the actual author of the Little Women book. She didn't want Jo to have a love interest but was given no choice to make it happen otherwise the book would not be published, which exactly happened in the film too. So the actual storyline of the Little Women story, the whole Jo and Fedrick thing did happen. The film was just Jo telling the story she wrote in her book which is Little Women, so Fedrick and Jo didn't happen OUTSIDE the book. Heck I think Fedrick didn't even exist and was made up 💀

Men only have the responsibility today but no authority which creates no incentive to get involved though still wish to have a family of their own but women today value nothing more than politics and career even though they never wanted to work in the first place. They want the luxuries of life without obtaining it, however still don't want to be with a man to have those things because they're a "free spirit" when translated means they're a whore and ride the cock carousel. Feminism and equality created this monster. The monster they voted for, and here we see example #704,115,006 of blaming them. Responsibility is women's kryptonite, they're giant children which when thought of that way makes everything they do make sense like magic all of a sudden, pretend poorly to emulate men, abandon their role of motherhood which is literally their only job which actually works and stabilizes civilization, and yet it remains a mystery why suicide, drug overdose and crime are at it's highest in male statistics. Women dominate higher education now but it doesn't help at all. Women don't like men that earn less than them, and yet they also leave those positions to achieve motherhood anyway in approx. 5 years tops. Everything sucks, and everyone is depressed.

    • tomasz What? That wasn’t even the point of the quote whatsoever, what Amy said symbolizes how women back in the 1800’s were not able to make a life by themselves let alone with their family. Amy was told to marry to be able to support her family, and that was the truth of many women around their time. And no, women don’t need to man up and get a job. For one, women could have not really done that back then, women working was not apparent at all, and even if Jo did, it was barely enough to support her family. Secondly, all people have the right to choose what they want to do in their life. Looking down on women that are housewives is just as bad as looking down on a working women. Apologies if you possibly get offended by this in any way, but your statement in my eyes was false, to each is own but that is my take one the phrase.
