I enjoy watching the slow burn between the ml & fl. They're not immature and annoying but stubborn & brutally honest when it's necessary. I think the actor Lin Gengxin is handsome in a dorky way. He's exceptionally handsome in costume dramas. Zhao Liying is always a pleasure to watch as well.
Right? He's quite handsome in daily basis. But when he puts into costume drama, he's drop dead gorgeous. Not many actors has that classic looks aura, and he's brutally handsome in that ancient performance. No one can hold his flame not just his candle, if I may say 😅 And for ZLY, no comment. She's exceptional as always.
What do you mean ML is not annoying though? That's the very first word that comes to mind if I'm asked to describe him.

The different realms of existence, cultivation through meditation, different time , life spans in different realms, cause and effect way of having to face the reactions to your actions, rebirth etc. This way of thinking will make people think before they act as like in nature one has to face the consequences of actions.

I enjoy this dorama very much and I like the scenery, beautiful landscapes, well presented characters, the songs are strong.... The story until now is kind of slow, I thought more of war would appear, I like that comedy is present, that gives it an extra touch but I know the main characters can be more, they have great chemistry to develop this serie beyond. This couple I believe it's match from heaven as they say in the dorama and in real life would be great too 🙏♥️ beauty and handsome and full actors. Let's see in the future how this story develops. ❤️🎶🎶🎶

I don't know why the director make the main actress such an alcoholic...This girl drinks so much. Just like "Eternal love" aka 10 Miles of Peach Blossom. These two actresses are fierce immortals but alcoholic. I don't find that sexy. Maybe less drinking. Drinking is ok, but these two drinks the most.
I believe this has something to with them being compared to men. They are fierce, exceptional, females who are strong enough to drink as much as men.
I see this in a lot of dramas esp they get drunk nd go into the wrong room.😀.

Why is he lecturing her on what is appropriate when he hasn't been appropriate? Grabbing her, lying to her, manipulating her AND interfering/being overbearing? Am I in for a switcheroo where they replace ML or his personality? Or is this just kind of what we're stuck with? I’m sure the fight scenes are coming. They started with it, calmed us down with the romance and introductions and storylines before they now are going to understand how and why the fight started and who we should be rooting for.

I thought so too, but then I revisited and for some reason on the second viewing, it just clicked. Now it’s one of my favorites.
I could have enjoyed if it was just a dude being friends with a chicken. Right now they opened up the story massively and did very little to fill it out. I mean, they gave us 2 annoying male characters but I don't consider that a plus. But my guess is that something will probably happen at some point soon.
