I love how Old Lady Impa took a break from presiding over Kakariko Village to go do the voice work for this trailer.

I love that Samus is just straight unimpressed with Kraid. She's like, are you really gonna try this again?
After being chased by the EMMIs, I wouldn't be impressed either.

I don't know how I couldn't buy this. Beautiful.
So hyped for this game!
If you guys could restock the special edition… that would be really great.
Right. I heard these sold out instantly at GameStop. This works be nice to have along side the 3DS version
Really? Here in my xountry, there is still a lot of stock though it is gonna run out soon.
1 Million views we made it guys !
Never played a metroid game before but this looks dope.
Highly recommend the prime series dipped into some horror and had great gameplay.
There were a few jump scares in Super Metroid as well. I'd highly recommend you give that one a look if you like the 2D aspect of this trailer. It was a fantastic title!
then you will never kn ow what a metroid is.
Hopefully it'll release on switch so i can try out the older metroid titles. I
@@Ryskay With Switch Online you can play Super Metroid right now with SNES Online but I can't speak for the Prime games (only ever played the 2d series)
"Metroid Dread Special Edition now available to pre-order" ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT
😂😂😂
Should be instead "...now being scalped online"
Now sold out

Looks so amazing, this is the Metroid game I've been waiting for, just less than a month,I can't wait!
Finally an actual OG Metroid game. 🤜🤛
Damn, I wasn't sure about this at first, but this trailer has sold me, it looks great! Now give F-Zero some love, it's long overdue.
I miss playing F-Zero GX!! It would be amazing to see a new F-zero game on Switch!
Ill never understand the "we dont know what else to do with the franchise excuse theyve used to keep f-zero shelved. Just take GX, remaster it and double up the course count and we gucci
@@rdowg So true! If they can do it so often with minimal improvements like with Mario Kart and Smash Brothers, why not some of the long-forgotten ones like F-Zero? A dream-list for me would be a new Star Tropics and while we’re wishing, Golden Sun, Eternal Darkness, and Advance Wars!
All EMMI’s so far: 1. The broken one. 2. The clean white one. Standard 3. The green one. It can follow Samus through tight spaces 4. The Yellow one. Super fast 5. The cyan one. It appears to move slower, but it’s scanner freezes you as it gets closer 6. The Purple one. Abilities unknown 7. ???????
Purple could chase her underwater. They seem to give Samus some abilities. Could be the slide or cross bomb for green, speed booster for yellow, ice missiles for cyan, gravity suit for purple... That may be a stretch, but we'll see
@@haariel1 Oh that’s a good guess! We’ll see
The cyan one be sus :P
I'm going to assume the last one is red. Probably the most aggressive
I hope there's a friendly one too
This game with headphones is going to be such an awesome experience. CANNOT WAIT !!!

Nintendo is giving more attention to a new Metroid game than to the 35th anniversary of Zelda. What a world we live in now!
I was pretty frustrated by it when the E3 teaser for BOTW2 dropped cuz I really wanted a port of Windwaker or TP, but looking at it now, maybe they're giving room for Metroid to capture more of the Switch's userbase. The rest of the games coming out don't really fill the role that Metroid does, and imo only Zelda could compete with it. I'm hoping it does really good so they'll produce more 2D games this decade
Metroid has a small, but very dedicated fan base. I think Nintendo is trying to unlock the hidden potential of Metroid, considering that fact. I live in Japan, and many people here don't even know what Metroid is. Even people who have no interest in games here know Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, and Zelda. Not so with Metroid.
…hello, geniuses? It is ALSO the 35th anniversary of METROID. Gee, so Nintendo is giving attention to a long neglected franchise on its 35th instead of one of its flagship franchises it’s already given more than enough attention on the 25th and 30th anniversaries. How horrible! I’m also going to point out that I am first and foremost a Zelda fan. Only played 3 Metroid, and only beaten one. I’m interested in this game, but certainly not crazy about it. So don’t think calling me a Metroid fanboy or something will get any significant response.

Sure enough, Nintendo has hooked me in. I’m actually excited for this game!

I wasn't planning on buying this day one, but these trailers have changed my mind. Time to show Nintendo that we want more Metroid games.
it looks like a bloody mobile game
@@glenferrieroadhawthorn The Switch is a mobile console, so yes.
A dream come true. Also, restock the special edition and make it so scalpers can't immediately grab the entire stock please
Ye, as much as I'm looking forward to it I'll not buy unless I can get special edition at retail price. Even if it means I'll have to postpone a purchase that would otherwise be day 1, Nintendo...
Right? I mean Valve let verified Steam account holders reserve a copy of the Steam Deck for the first like 3 days after announcement. Nintendo could easily have done the same. Or at least address this issue to the fans at all, instead of just pretending they don't know scalpers got them all.
These games time and time again prove that with the correct art style and timeless vibe beats raw power
I’m gonna buy a switch for this game alone & put it on the tv
Love how they're still advertising the Special Edition that sold out immediately. Thanks for rubbing it in Nintendo
Argos and Game are still selling pre orders of the special edition in the UK, so there must be stock around places
Our only hope is that they are planning a second batch of special editions?? 🤞🙏
My thoughts exactly..
Exactly, and I refuse to give scalpers $200, those scumbags. Not getting the game out of spite until they decide to release a second batch. Which will probably be never, knowing Nintendo
@@jase276 THIS RIGHT HERE
The real Dread is trying to get those Special editions & amiibo.
I'm just happy to see Kraid again man
im so getting this game when it comes out next month. always been a metroid fan. this looks beautiful. graphics, story, gameplay
I've gone from skeptic, to optimistic, to definitely buying this game!
Breath of the Wild introduced Zelda to many new people, making new fans when it launched. I hope a similar effect happens with Dread.
The switch effect, fire emblem three houses did the same
I hope so too … I have seen tons of comments of people trying super Metroid because of dread and some even going through all of them because of Super and loving the series. Let’s hope and enjoy the release!
@@GriffinX81 it’s already happened tho lol. There’s tons of new people trying Metroid because of Dread and the game isn’t even out. … streamers, KZhead comments, Twitter etc…. 2 old Metroid games became the 1&2 top sellers on the Wii U and physical copies of SR sold out on Amazon as new people hunt for ways to try Metroid in anticipation . Will it sell like BOTW … no but it has definitely brought a ton of attention to Metroid and tons of new people trying a 20 year old game and loving it. Like BOTW it will most likely be the best seller of the franchise.
@@GriffinX81 Metroid made a genre, but I see your point
Botw definitely introduced me to zelda and this will also be my first metroid game but im only buyin it to add to my switch collection lol I doubt it will have the same effect like botw but it will definitely bring in new gamers
Besides all the awesome fighting, I'd like to appreciate the fact Samus still puts on eyeliner and lashes before her missions.
Haha. I'd like to imagine Samus being one of those women who have long thick natural lashes.
this could become the best metroid and knowing the franchise thats not a small thing
