Good to see that Valentina is so capable and not bothered who she comes up against.A huge amount of constant training and power exercises is that which has helped her reign supreme in Kick-boxing.When the pressure is on that's where all that training comes into play, without it she would not be so capable.A strong heart and a will to win are by products of one's confidence in all of a persons training and preparation.Well done Valentina.

Valentina looks like the possible future queen of the UFC bantam weight division. A couple years of traditional boxing would improve here footwork and body positioning greatly. Her striking is already on point & her hands are very, very quick.

+HyborianAge Lets begin with the stand-up game. Val wins in terms of hand speed, Holly wins in the power punching department. In kicking terms, it's very close but I give Val the edge due to her extensive Muay Thai + TKD background. Holly easily has more powerful kicks though. Grappling skills I give Val the edge primarily because I haven't seen HH on the ground much due to her other-worldly take-down defense. Holly fought professionally for a decade in a combat sport which only allowed her to use her fists as weapons; no elbows, no knees, no kicks, and she excelled in three different weight classes. This I believe gives her an incredible advantage in that when she switched to MMA she added a LOT more weaponry to her arsenal without sacrificing the skills she acquired from boxing. Such as excellent footwork, body positioning and the ability to read/size-up your opponent quickly. I think Holly wins against Valentina in that a) her body positioning prevents her from getting hit cleanly b) she can hit anyone cleanly from any angle almost at will plus she hits harder c) acquiring all those new weapons when she switched to MMA from boxing just isn't fair, it's almost cheating.

Jon Doe Thanks. I hope we get to see them together soon. Holly has stated she wants to fight the best, plus it'd be good for the sport. Guess that was a dig at Honda in her own carefully coded language. I've seen a couple of Val fights and I see her preferring to go inside while Holly likes to keep you guessing, dizzying sometimes. Do you agree that the Holly we saw at 193 was not the same Holly we see in her old boxing vids or mma fights? She now appears to be a well oiled machine, mature and confident in her prowess. It sucks she has to wait a while for her next fight.

HyborianAge Actually Holly's fight against Ronda looked similar to her MMA fights in Legacy FC. But yes she did seem like a well oiled machine compared to her previous two UFC bouts.

holly only has size and strength over val, but val is more explosive and faster. holly would need to rely on the range of kicks to keep distance with set-up jabs. val would be more dangerous in the clinch and on the ground. val would use leg kicks to slow holm's mobility and take away from her punching power. val's speed and technique will triumph over holm's size and strength. val is a more aggressive pressure fighter compared to holly's stick and jive "Mayweather" type fighting. val can also prepare for holm with her older sis who also fights southpaw and is bigger.

Well, Helen was not afraid to engage Valentina "in close", but I question her decision to fight from her back when Valentina was standing up. First time I have seen an opponent have the upper hand in a ground and pound with Valentina on the bottom. Helen is cute too.

HyborianAge Actually Holly's fight against Ronda looked similar to her MMA fights in Legacy FC. But yes she did seem like a well oiled machine compared to her previous two UFC bouts.
holly only has size and strength over val, but val is more explosive and faster. holly would need to rely on the range of kicks to keep distance with set-up jabs. val would be more dangerous in the clinch and on the ground. val would use leg kicks to slow holm's mobility and take away from her punching power. val's speed and technique will triumph over holm's size and strength. val is a more aggressive pressure fighter compared to holly's stick and jive "Mayweather" type fighting. val can also prepare for holm with her older sis who also fights southpaw and is bigger.
