  • E X C E L L E N T VIDEO !!! Many years ago, an old schoolteacher of mine & I teamed up and started remodeling houses. He taught me as we went. Drywall hanging & finishing was one of the items he taught me. He bragged to folks, that he had taught me and that I had gotten better than he was. That was over half a century ago! To watch you, feathering, brought back memories. I enjoy-joyed my work with him. He taught me many skills !!! Thank you for all you do and show on your videos. I'm fixing to sub. I'm a retired professional. I'm skilled in carpentry, I was a journeyman Machinist, and a journeyman Electrician. Also a fairly decent Welder. & I was a volunteer Fireman/Rescue crewman. I enjoy-joy watching pro's doing their thing. It brings back many memories. Thank God for KZhead. It stirs my memories !

  • First human being actually telling me #1 wtf the materials(the common stuff i mean not just oh yeah use dry wall putty or use a wood tip etc..) he is using while giving me the general idea about it since i guess most other wood workers think everybody else knows what bits and tiny stuff , giving general name of products you use and #2 actually finally understood what americans walls are and its Jepson boards wow thanks dude , recently in where i live its been getting more popular to use them for decorative purposes which we did for out bathrooms hidden lights and stuff but i see why your walls are easy to break rip

  • Nice. I don't think I have ever seen it so easily, and yet thoroughly, explained as this.

  • Funny you put this out I just recently slipped in the attic and made a hole in my son’s room ceiling and now need to fix it. Was dreading it.

    • Yeah, I often find myself coming back to these for reference when I actually need to follow it! Bummer you made a hole in the ceiling. That had to be a little scary going through!🥺

  • Thanks for this tutorial. Drywall patching/ repair looks easy but to get a smooth seamless patch is frustrating. These tips will make my work easier. And, I will try the DAP patch. 👍

  • Everything was well done with professional way exempt the dodgy patching with DAP. yes, it is dodgy workaround where the spot will be very vulnerable. i can bet that if you squeeze a bit on the patch area it will break the coating on top of it. yes it seems like it is hiding it well but not in a solid way... If it was me, i would use Tetrion hard as rock filler which has a solid cement within the compound. that can also take ascrew on it when needed.

  • I'm still searching through your videos, but I can't find one anywhere to help me with my specific issue yet. Ice dams caused water damage in the ceiling and wall where they meet. Also on a beam. I'm researching how to fix this ourselves without paying a contractor $5k. Trying to attach a video now of my problem area.
