This may go down as one of my favorite RCs released this year. Wow. The last RTR RC to really floor me was also a Losi...the LMT. This one floored me in a completely different way. This was unexpected and for the first time made really want an RC motorcycle. I'm a huge fan of Motocross and Supercross racing and have been since I was younger watching Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Travis Pastrana and Brian Deegan tear it up. Now I follow even more closely and love seeing the progression of the new riders and tech.
Losi did something magical with this bike. Yes it has (removable) training wheels to help it stand back, up and is a bit of a learning curve to get started, but it was like getting my first RC for me. I didn't know how they handled or what to expect. It was all new and fun. That's how this felt! I was wowed by every little thing it did. My favorite mode is dirt mode because it is a little more to handle and offers the best of street and wheelie mode. Wheelie mode is fun to show off for friends, but I think it's more trick than anything. In dirt mode you can still grab some wheelies, but it is more spontaneous and requires a bit more control. It's awesome to hit a jump and slap it into a wheelie.
The Losi Promoto MX will not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you love RC and motocross, I think it's pretty special what Losi has created.

I just got my green one yesterday but been so busy so finally opened it up tonight then saw your video popped up! It was fun to see how excited you were. I'm a bit older so when I was about 7 years old I got the Evel Knievel gyro bike and spent hundreds of hours playing with that so this is really a dream come true all these years later for me! As a real life rider li would suggest to take really good care of your chain! After every day of playing with mine I get a cup of soapy water and a toothbrush then I scrub while rotating back wheel where the chain makes first contact with the rear sprocket. After that I dry it all off with micro fiber and finally lube the chain. Hope this helps someone!

Now you can go and find the exhaust tip while you wait for the battery to charge i would recommend you glue it on because a lot of people have had it come off.

GREAT video. I really think that when they come out with the street version of these bikes, they will really take off. MotoGP style bikes. Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha's. Not everybody has access to off road areas. But everybody has access to large Shopping Mall Parking Lots for racing events. Or, just the street out front.

Great pan! grab some top soil and till it together with the sand. it will pack nicely and drain! I cant wait to see when you get the hang of it and a great birm carve!

You were doubtful but there was some really nice footage, also sweet to see you so happy 😆 I think Losi did very well on the promotion for the promoto in addition to some impressive engineering, interesting to see how the interest holds up after FOMO dries up. I’m still on the fence for getting one, not too good driving locations nearby
when we heard about it at axial fest, we spent whole evening at the motel watching LOSI's vids on it.

For just starting to learn it, you did excellent driving it. I think your sharp berm is totally doable with it. I don't know that you'll be able to rail it like real MX, but start messing with turning the gyro down. The lower you set it, the easier it will be to turn tighter. It also makes it harder to drive, but... tradeoffs.

That thing looks FUN! Being 1/4 scale it probably needs alot of room to run! If clay is available in your area, mixing it into the sand would make a better surface to run it on (same for 1/10 buggies). Now you need 2 more for your boys!🎉😉😎

These bikes don't really like sand. Hard to loose dirt only for best performance. Chains get clogged with sand. Have fun . Thanks for video

It’s definitely worth it bro. I suggest getting another battery or 2 so you’re not waiting for the next charge every 30 mins of bashing. Also would recommend getting a spektrum smart charger, it charges the battery in like 15 mins

Jet Lawrence is killing it since Eli got injured. Eli is even impressed with Jet. Haiden Deegan is doing so good as a Rookie, already got on the podium and the red rider plaque. I hope he continues to do good so an American rider can start getting on the first place Podium Haiden has so many haters because Gen Z hates their own country and Haiden is patriotic.

Works better when you take the little side bars off doesn’t actually need them if you lay it down just go pick it up. That way you won’t tear up the rider

I think the side wheels need to be angled down a slight bit more. It doesn't like to stand up on its own.
It's not supposed to stand up on its own. It's a dirt bike. If you angle them down then you lose a lot of your turning radius.
@@FarmerFpv maybe wasn’t clear. I mean right itself after it falls over. My other two bikes can. Gonna adjust the wheels down. Will make the turning radius bigger but cut down in the walks of shame.

Where did you get yours from and when did you order it? I pre-ordered 3 on June 24th the Green, Bue, and Red one at the same time, and still haven't received anything. No ETA nothing. Kinda bummed, but at least I get to see you tear it up with yours. I should have gotten a boob job and it would have shown up already due to boobie privilege.
I got mine through Horizon Hobby, it was back ordered and took a month to get it and the cancelled the order but gave me 25% off so I saved $150 and bought a spare battery also. Not sure where he got his.
@@melspadt Yeah, I ordered through Horizon too. For some reason, I didn't get any of mine. I ordered all 3 colors at the same time. Which is probably why I didn't get it yet. What day did you order yours?
I ordered mine on July 13th after they cancelled my first order a week earlier. Yes, I think since you wanted all 3 it slowed yours way down.

My Promoto will not wheelie in mode three........or any other mode for that matter. Anyone else having this issue?
I only have that problem when the tires slip. My driveway was too slick
@@CCxRC After seeing you pop wheelies in the grass, I tried it and it worked! My street is a very coarse asphalt which should provide plenty of traction for the rear wheel as I don't see or hear the rear wheel losing traction. Anyway, trying to talk with a tech at Losi or Horizon is worse odds than winning the Power Ball;-) Perhaps the new street tires will help. Thanks again and enjoy your bike!
@@CCxRC just wanted to follow up as it ended up being the slipper clutch needed an 1/8 of a turn. Now it wheelies like it should. Thanks again for the help
did you have to tighten or loosen that 1/8th turn?
@erichicks2649 in the end, I had to scratch a cross hatch pattern on both faces of the slipper clutch. I tried using 400, 220 and 150 sandpaper first, but it didn't last. I took my exacto knife with a new blade and carefully drew the cross hatch grid on each face. I also tightened the clutch several turns. I've run over 25 packs through it since then, and it has worked perfectly.
Berm turn is too loose, needs to be packed down or at least really grippy like mud

@@melspadt Not sure yet. Took a hard landing off 7 stairs high. The side wheel caught a wall. Now the fly wheel is pretty loud and the bike vibrates a lot. So I shut it down immediately. Something has been knocked around inside.

I ran 2 packs thru mine and sold it. The bike and concept are awsome, don't get me wrong but $600? No. Absolutly not worth $600. $400 is what they should be selling them for.
that’s why i went used got one that’s basically new for 400 with extra lipos.
