Grow up, we really shouldn't compete in who suffered more, we need to look ahead and create a better future for our children. We already know that Croatia is more progressive, you should give a chance to the people who had nothing to do with the war to have a good life, and not live being haunted by the mistakes made in the history on every damn corner.

In fact, the very construction of this railway was delayed by years due to corrupt politicians not using the investors' funds for the project, but for their own personal needs. That is why we won't be seeing the completion of this project for a long time.

    • Believe me, that it's not because of your "stupid" politicians but because of the mafia in Serbia. The state of Serbia has incurred debt for such projects, including similar ones, amounting to approximately 55% GDP. Serbia is constantly taking on debt for roads, bridges, highways, railways, and so on. However, all of this debt must be repaid; nothing is free. Unfortunately, future generations will have to repay the debts incurred by the current government. We can be proud of the train (the only one in the country that reaches these speeds), but it doesn't diminish the fact that we are the fastest and most heavily indebted country in the region relative to our population.

    • Roughly, this trip would cost about 3x more in a car, and that's just the fuel, not counting tolls or city driving, really. Trains in Serbia were always a popular way of transport, but it has sharply declined in recent years due to them becoming more unreliable than a rusted 1970's car - often, they just wouldn't come, so public gave up on them. If the railway was in better shape (there are sections of railway in the south that have a 5kmh speed limit, you can overtake it just strolling by), and if service was reliable, there'd be no shortage of passengers. Looking forward to connection with Nis, as it's a bit of a longer stretch and people do it fairly frequently in a car, I'm sure most would be happy to do it faster and at half the cost.

That is Cyrilic, Latin is almost as easy with only a few sounds requiring the letter J behind an L and an N and D requiring a Z behind it. • No, this is a Swiss designed train which has been operating in various countries for many years. Russia ordered a few of them, however their currency collapsed again and they couldn't afford them. Westbahn ordered some identical trains before Srbija Voz, and this is a follow-on order from their fleet. Russia has only built a few trains for Serbia, in the form of some fairly rubbish diesel trains.

  • The 80-kilometer-long, Chinese-built Belgrade-Novi Sad high-speed railway has been carrying passengers at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour since March 2022, looks amazing!
