Since you specifically asked, i think there is still a big market für "old school" speakers with no wifi connectability or other fancy gadgets. I much prefer the plain and solid, sound-cost prioritising model, rather then the fancy "have a thousand applications and tell you the weatherforcast" device. All it should do is play music as best as possible. Everything added is raising the price and the margin of error.
I agree with you. This speaker is 50% in my country right now. And I can see why. What the hell is the point of it other than looking beautiful when there's so many great sounding speakers out there that can be played on battery and can connect into stereo
On point, maximilian
the market never revolves around you.
@@thennekcdcdthennek6417 thanks, didn't expect such swift reply from our economics professional here
So I had an original Stanmore I (one??) and I LOVED it for years. I moved and gave it to my mom and after a year and a half I treated myself to an Acton III in my new smaller apartment and all I can say is WOW… the Acton III is WILDLY impressive and to be honest for its size savings and cost savings I can’t imagine the Stanmore being worth it. I feel like the choice really boils down to Acton III or go all in on Woburn III. 2 generations later and I can TOTALLY hear the upgrades in sound quality!
Does your moms stanmore you gave her still work? How old is it now? I want to get a marshall speaker, but want to make sure they will last
Thank you for this! So helpful 🙏
My choice was made between the woburn and the stanmore and I eventually didn't pick the woburn because it was a bit ovesized/priced for my intended use of a wireless speaker. And I definitely can tell the stanmore III sounds really great in my bedroom and helps me listening to my cds again through the RCA input. I'm just annoyed with the loss of bluetooth pairing that occurs when I don't use my pc after 10 minutes or so, forcing me to pair again, and the latency when watching a video. I think I'll keep the bluetooth for the smartphone, and plug the pc to the jack input. But yes, the Stanmore surely is the right choice for a bedroom!
I had a Marshall 5 years ago and I have to returne it because the bluetooth problem. Still with the bluetooth 5,2 ?
Great video.. with lots of details. thank you..
No problem!
Woburn III is definitely the better sounding and clearer of the 3. The Acton and Stanmore sounded exactly alike to me. Will definitely be buying the Woburn III.
All of these in this video still sound exactly like the earbuds I’m listening to this on.
Very useful thank you so much, helped me make a decision.
Great to hear!
They are BT LE however , which makes it a first. This will allow for multi room set up. So I suspect Marshall are backing this option rather than wifi as a simplistic set up.
Quality review Aaron. Nice to hear you’ve noticed some improvement in the mids, it’s the one area Marshall speakers disappoint in previous models so fingers crossed they continue to improve. Keep up the great content 👍🏼
Thanks!
@@aaronloudnwireless Will you be reviewing the JBL Authentic 500? I'm curious of your thoughts on how you think it sounds, and how it compares to the Woburn 3.
I have two Woburn IIIs as a stereo pair with an external Bluetooth dac going to the left and right speakers with a RCA splitter at each speaker. Both are volume matched and it sounds awesome.
Woah!
Can you run me through your setup
@@thefalliblebeliever3470 An ifi Zen One dac with left RCA to left speaker and right RCA to right speaker. At both speakers is a single to dual RCA cable so the signal goes to both left and right of each speaker. I then volume matched both speakers and control overall volume with the dac.
Great review! Thank you!
Hì Aaron, thinking of getting a small speaker and want to know which is a better buy, the Acton 3 or Aura 4? Thanks
i heard the sound of Marshall and i felt in love. I boutht one 4 years ago and i had to give it back after tree times trying to fix the bluetooth by garantee. In Amazon i cannot find the Woburn III, only the Woburn II. Wich is the difference between those two. And wich other brand do you reccomend better than woburn.
The Action and Stanmore sounded more compressed compared to the Woburn through my Klipsch HP-3 headphones, I agree the Stanmore and Action sounded very similar to each other. The Woburn sounds like a winner but for the money it should.
i agree with you
constructive criticism: i wish there was no purple light (should have proper white balance) so people can appreciate the color and finish of the product.
I have a Kilburn 2 portable speaker currently. And I am looking to stack up another Marshall speaker along with it to play songs on both the speakers. Can you help clarify which all Marshall speakers can be stacked together with Kilburn 2?
Please compare the standmore 3 with the harmon kardon soundsticks 4. Thank you.
..awesome review....ACTON 3 is currently 299 ( Canadian ) ... 215 ( US ) ......would you say thats a great deal and worth the money ? thx bud....cheers from Canada
Hi, thanks for the review, how do I know if my Woburn 3 is genuine if the serial numbers on the box and the app don't match? Please help
Woburn is hands down the best out of all 3, don't see a point smaller ones.
They all got LE audio built in - the next gen bluetooth protocoll a broader bandwith that is supposed to enhanc sound quality, let's see when phines or devices will be able to bradcast in throught that...
In STANMORE 2, Below 50-60% volume, it sounds pretty low, and when changed to 70%, it use to get pretty loud. Is it the case?
Woburn II it has a brutal difference. between Action and stanmore , i only feel the base, but when you play Woburn, all the sound changes. I will go for this one.
Dear Marshall speaker users, I recently switched from the Stanmore 1 speaker to the Woburn 3, connecting it to my Audio Technica LP60 with a built-in preamp. I've noticed an issue while playing vinyl on this setup: the maximum volume with the Woburn 3 via RCA seems to be about 50% of what I got with the Stanmore 1. Any insights on why this might be happening? No issues with playing digital music
I’ve got action 3 and Woburn 3 and obviously the Woburn is better but I won’t let my action 3 go because it really is good for the size and price, Stanmore is same as action but is a bit louder.
good video
Any idea where I can buy Woburn III? Or when Marshall will restock? I can’t seem to find them available anywhere
You can sign up for a notification on their website. They're regularly out of stock
Marshal acton 3 or Bose portable home speaker?
I just bought the Marshall action l l. Because liked the old school bass and treble control. Suits me fine.
I have one of those in black It's by FAR the best speaker I've owned and plenty good enough for me, the high volume performance is fantastic
I just bought the 3 today
Just for to be sure. Did you configure all the Marshall with the same bass and same trebble volume ?
All set to '5'
So the stanmore 3 does not have multi room feature
Which one should I buy, what do you recommend? I want to pair it with a Rega Planar 2 record player, I would listen mostly to hip hop, I like good and strong bass :), it would be placed in a room of 18m2
I would get the woburn 3 no matter what.. The sub bass, mid range and tweeters are worth it and will make music sound the best..
how about sounds from mac via bt on Woburn 3?
Compared with authentics 200? Wich wins?
is the acton 3 and Stanmore 3 the same sound
Even worse that all the Marshall III-line speakers does not have WiFi streaming, the Stanmore II does have great WiFi streaming support AND multi-room. Why would anyone REMOVE great features like that?? Makes no sense to me. Now I need to replace my two beloved Stanmore II, and there is nothing from Marshall that can do what these did 5 years ago!! Come on Marshall!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Moja propozycja testu to Marshall tufton vs JBL party box 110
The Stanmore isn’t to big isn’t to small, it’s the perfect fit if your not going with a killer volume and bass sound.
I saw the video and thank you but I have a question. I currently live mainly in an apartment. On low volume would you still recommend the Woburn or can I take the little ones? I really like the mids and in the Acton II they were very poor. Do you think Woburn is too much for an apartment?
Definitely the Woburn.
@@aaronloudnwireless So would you still advise me to get an Acton or Stanmore for a small apartment, despite the poorer mids quality? :)
what's the wattage of each?
Marshall Acton vs Stanmore are showed inverted in the video..(4:39 to 5:37)
Good eye
At first, my choices were between Stanmore and Woburn. In terms of sound quality, Woburn definitely nailed it, but it's too big and bulky, and it doesn't really aesthetically fit in my room. Then I found out that Marshall has another model named Acton. I'm getting an Ikea Vittsjo shelf just like the one in the video 0:30 , both Stanmore and Acton fit perfectly on the shelf. Now my choices will be between Acton and Stanmore.
What you ended up getting?
i gt acton iii.@@sathira_anuk5179 stanmore is a little too big for my room
Woburn the best!
Acton and Stanmore sounded similar. The Stanmore offers a little more base.
Nothing sucks by Marshall it’s just all overpriced
it's worth investing tho if you love listening to music.
Quite recently ... 3 months ago or so ... I asked Marshall support if they are planning to add AAC support to their speakers. They replied that there is no such plan at the moment.
That's sad
I'm using SBC codec instead of AAC through developer options on android and the sound to my ears is much better, less compressed and peaks cleaner.
I think with LE audio this speaker support lc3 codec which is now not available
@@alokmurmu7682 bro when they add this . What u Think? I need couple mode ...😢
Can u compare woburn 2 vs woburn 3
on/off not hearing mashall sound?(drum sound)?
Nope
@@aaronloudnwireless it still hearing??
I recently bought the Acton III
Good speaker! Better sound than expected.
@@aaronloudnwireless You are right. I also have the Willen too
Stanmore is kinda disappointing comparing to other 2.
4:36
Acton???
W😅o😅w😅
Im Bangladesh
The stanmore seems not good for the money just listening off this... I mean for full price i could build a better sounding setup
Stanmore 3 Is garbage for the Price
Dude is expecting sound of some high end stereo from a $300 broootooth speakers 🤣😆
Español 😡
For anyone wondering it is a huge disappointment, "it fills the room" they say... it barely fills 30 Square meters. The bass is so bad it doesn't even make the leaf blow. Also the sound is so sharp even with treble at 0 some songs screams like nails on the chalkboard. This was the greatest disappointment of a speaker purchase in my life. Absolutely no doubt about that, I'm so disappointed by the performance of this (i would even call it a speaker) that I will stay as far from Marshall products as possible. I will never touch their products again. I purchased this product from a verified Marshall vendor too, brand new, $600. I've never purchased Marshals products before also, so I wouldn't say I had any bias towards them. This product definitely sucks, so I'll be returning it back tomorrow morning. This also makes me loose all my respect to these "KZhead partners channels" claiming it to be "the deal". What a joke, y'all must be paid and bought for by Marshall. Anyway, I'll never come back to any of these types of channels nor buy any marshall products ever again. I just hope for anyone caring to read this, please stay away from this garbage brand. I heard rumours that they were sold to someone else, maybe this is the reason they are now terrible? I don't know. I also can't say anything about the other models as I haven't tried them. However, for sure stay away from Wooburn III its a scam!
you had less than 80k subscribers at the time you made this video. how could you afford all these gadgets?
