I bought the cheapest maserati in the uk! This is not a Maserati Gran turismo it's a Quattroporte which literally means 4 doors in italian. This car has the duoselect single clutch gearbox and a 4.2 litre version of the Ferrari 458 V8 engine.

Make no mistake, it's cheap for a reason. The clutch tends to eat itself and bam you need a new clutch which will set you back probably half the price of the car in its current value. That's why a lot of people drive them in manual mode. This is a car you admire from a far.

Calvin. Because of your video a few weeks ago on the bmw635d I sold our car ( hyundai veloster) missus was not happy. Collected my 2010 635d black with black leather 76k miles yesterday . The car is a weapon. I told the missus Calvin made me do it🤣. On a serious note a top guy I worked with Steve recently passed from cancer so I thought fuck it buy that 635d you only live once.

Calvin I remember the first time I saw a quadraporte on TV in a review it was Top gear in 2005 they compared it against a porsche panemara turbo and a Aston Martin Rapide the cars costing £85k to £110k, Clarksons favourite was the Quadraporte, he loved the exhaust note. The review is still on you tube.

Another great video Calvin, cheers mate. 👍 I had the pleasure of driving a mate’s quattroporte some years ago and for a big lump of a car, it certainly picked its feet up! What did it for me though, was the interior as it was like sitting in a gentleman’s club. His was in brown leather and it looked awesome. That’s one hell of a lot of car for £7k.
That’s a very good sales pitch Calvin. Genuinely, that was an honest and enthusiastic review of that lovely motor. My late father in law had a big hand in raising the awareness of Maserati in the uk and developed a specialist business looking after them. Going strong still. He said they made a sound like no other. I’d be tempted, but I think I’m going to sell my car and buy and convert a van instead.

Really enjoyed video always was interested in the Maserati Quattroporte as the price is good but after watching your video made me want one even more due to how much they cost now. You put the pros and cons of this car so well. I'm looking between a Bentley Flying Spur or Maserati Quattroporte.
I love that shape. In my opinion, it is the best Maserati ever built, plus Ferrari engine 🚀
Love these cars, I picked up a later version with the ZF gearbox and it cruises like no other I’ve ever had. The double glazing is so good you really need to crack the window if you want to experience the wonderful exhaust note.

Looked at a couple of 4.7 GTS ones before I bought my CLS63. Lack of specialists in the North of England really put me off, but they are gorgeous machines. Still look at them now, there's an itch that needs scratching...

Apart from my Alfasud Ti which I love to bits, that is my dream car. Would prefer a manual and sunroof, but black with black. Sadly, the Alfasud Ti mental animal that on Saturday night was showing a couple of Fiesta STs what can be done with half their power, and half their weight, wins. 😂
Have those electrochromatic mirrors on my E39 540i,they dim nicely but BMW wanted to relieve me of £300 just for the glass....tough choice between this and the BM which is also probably worth about 7k.
Electrocromatic mirrors. Turns them abit blue to stop glare from others headlights. Lovely sounding car

Open the rear arm rest, loads of cars have multiple options controls fitted there

Not a great fan of the design especially with them fake vents but the engine does sound awesome.
Does it have the ZF Gearbox though? If it does that is a very very rare car. Quttroporte is more about the fact the original car in the 70s was one of the first (if not the first) with 4 ports per cylinder.
