Paramore will never fully understand how this song impacted people. And that is ok. They sent out their message and it reached the people it needed to.
As a drummer myself, I can't but just appreciate the little bit of flavourful the drummer puts in with the ghost notes and the doubles on the hi hat. It gives it the funky aesthetic and groove that just makes Paramore's recent sound.
Zac Farro is a hell of a drummer. His work on Riot and Brand New Eyes blows me away every single time.

@@iamhimman they'll be back in 2022, they went on hiatus after the release of AL cuz Hayley wanted to work on a solo album
@@iamhimman they had a Homophobic band member in the first two records, Zac's brother, this complicated things between them and Hayley in particular so they both left. After that they released a couple albums and the self titled with Taylor included and went on a hiatus. Zac reconciled with Hayley for After Laughter in which they elaborate on this and Hayley's divorce, plus some really interesting tangents. I don't think Taylor had any input other than killer production and guitar riffs.

I think my main problem with the self-titled album wasn't that they changed musicals styles is that they went for a concept album and it was only mediocre at best. I didn't really care that the style had changed more so the fact that it just wasn't that great of an album.
