And he either doesn’t touch the ball in crunch time or shoots 30% from the field and makes at least one crucial turnover. No, it’s either Simmons, Harden or Tobias Harris’s fault. @@Steve_R418 Embiid is a great regular season player. But every single year he plays worse in the playoffs than regular season (where most every other superstar steps up their game in the playoffs). And he has been not just sub par in crunch time but he has been a liability turning the ball over or purposefully trying not to touch the ball. When any other super star chokes they get blasted, no one is giving them a pass and blaming the 5th best player on their team (Tobias Harris). But this guy constantly gets a pass. And last year Harden single handedly won two games for the 6ers in the series they lost, Embiid didn’t do that once. He hasn’t shot over 50% from the field once in the playoffs, he has never came through I. The clutch in the playoffs. And then he blames his teammates and for some reason people accept that.

To be fair Marc Gasol was the best guy to ever defend on him, it wasn't that Embiid was bad but it's just that Marc Gasol physic/IQ was the perfect counter to Joel Embiid Games. We should give props to him, he wasn't really "ancient" he was 34 years old, for a center it's the transition to being ancient but at this point Gasol was slimmer than his Memphis years and peaked condition.
