As an example Josh Allen the quarterback for buffalo is one of the best quarterbacks in the league threw 29 touchdowns and had 18 interceptions last season so over a four year stretch Rodgers managed to throw only two more interceptions and 139 more touchdowns (Josh Allen over the last four years has thrown 137 touchdowns and 57 interceptions for reference)

I prefer Herbert over him and I don't think Herbert should have gotten an average $52 million a year with his extension. Getting $45 to $50 million for a star QB still means you're the highest paid on the team but to break that $50 million barrier at least get to a #1 seed and a biweek in the playoffs, multiple playoff wins and/or a conference championship appearance during that rookie contract. 1 playoff win and then missing the playoffs the next year is a poor resume for asking $55 to $60 million per year.

    • He couldn’t make throws when pressure got to him. He’s an above average qb(6-12 range, depending on your flavour), but doesn’t consistently make game changing plays like an elite qb. They didn’t lose the Super Bowl because of Purdy, but when the chips were on the table there was a clear gap between him and Mahomes (not a slight at all).

I will support him only for this next upcoming season. I think the team should as well. If he does not improve or even does what he did during the playoff run, they should start looking at other options. He HAS TO TAKE THAT next step this upcoming season. No excuses. • Yep. Dude hasn't thrown over 25 tds in a season yet. 17 GAMES!!! Thats insanity to me. I absolutely hated Lawrence coming out of the draft. I did not see the can't miss of him being draft pick #1. I thought he was more apt to bust than to be a top 10 QB. And if you aint top 10 whats the point. Move on and try again. This is a QB driven league. To your point, if after this season it is more of the same, draft another dude. Or make a trade for one. If able. The floor should be 4000 yards 30 td's 12 interception and close to a 95 QB rating. You won't win much without that. I am a Vikes fan and even i think and thought Cousins was trash before we signed him. And during his time here. So even at the same time stats don't always mean everything. He was fluff stats and could not win games against teams .500 or better or win primetime games. Horrific record in both instances. The only season he managed to do both was the flukey year 2 years ago we went 13-3 cause we had a ton of favorable bounces. Like fumbles or this or that. We easily could have lost 5 more games that year. But now he is gone so now i can watch the Vikes again since i did not want to put myself through that fraud show.

    • @@WheresWaldo05 i agree. My buddies even took him for fantasy because it seemed he was going to have a crazy season last year because he finally got a good coach and 1 good year in a real system under his belt. Sadly, nope. I don’t understand how you cannot control turning the ball over. You HAVE GOT TO have learned that by now, the very least. Of course, injuries do not help but there has been plenty of times where we needed a big play and he was not able to come thru. Honestly, love the guy but don’t see him figuring it out soon. I was probably the only one optimistic that we would be in playoffs when we did make em but now im pessimistic on if he should be our QB moving forward. Maybe he proves me wrong this season and I’m a believer again. I think we have enough weapons now (even better than last 2 seasons) on both sides to be competitive.
