Man, I can’t even get everything set up to start my wash in under 10 minutes😂😂👌👍
Facts!
So true!
he is all set up to rock and roll. setup time does not count. but you I am sure it takes like 10 mins to set up and 10 mins to pack everything. still 30 even 40 mins is not bad at all. plus personally I am not as young and fit as him LOL makes it looks so easy.. but as he says taking your time and spend time for me is also therapeutic and not a chore
@@nick-3808 Here's another trick nobody really mentions... If the sun is out, wait until the sun is shining on 1 side of the car and you'll notice the other side isn't facing the sun. Be quicker on the side where the sun is shining and the other side you can be a little more slow since it's not in direct sun light.
Just digging out my pressure washer and getting it going would probably take 20 minutes.
I take 10 minutes on each side cleaning the wheeels and tires before I start the actual wash 😭
Black wheels here I take 10 minutes per wheel 😂
Yea same but nothing is ever wrong with that, just shows you care about your customer car whether there’s a way to wash faster/getting the same results. More you do, more faster you get😅
This would work great on a car that's well maintained with possibly a coating on the wheels and paint that also has a longer lasting tire protectant. Nasty wheels and tires can take 5 minutes a piece. I would definitely change out wash towels or flip to a new side on each panel but to be fair in all of this if you only want efficiency then quality will always suffer but 90% of folk don't care about water drips or a keeping a perfectly clean vehicle all the time. I wish I didn't care lol. Ignorance isn't bliss but it is alot less work and stress in these instances.
Dam it's takes me an average 10minute per wheel
@@bacchasmichael2017 if the wheels are cool I don't pre spray with water I usually use bilt hamber @ 10:1 apply wait 1-2 minutes and agitate with a vary soft interior brush on the wheels and a green body brush for tires let sit for 1 minute and rinse, if the wheels have brown staining after that and are factory cleared I use acid 4:1 appy on brush wipe in and rinse. If the wheels are trashed or are steelies I just apply cleaner and agitate with green body brush on wheels and tires wait a minute and rinse. Some tires can require multiple rounds of cleaning and some are permanently stained and have tried everything from mckees tire rejuvenator, multiple degreesers to acid to vary stiff brushes and iron removers even acetone and some just can't be saved but it's rare. Black gloss wheels usually get a presoak and rinse before brushing unless they are already scratched to death which most are.
As a business owner I can see the need to quickly get the car done, as for me I just take my time and enjoy the process and end result, thanks Josh 👍😁
I want to clean my car now. lol. I do a very similar wash when on a time crunch except for one step: Instead of a pre-rinse, I foam it, rinse it, then foam it again to start the contact wash. It doesn't take much more time than a pre-rinse would, and I feel more comfortable removing a lot of the abrasives before taking my towel to the car. I also saw a test of someone foaming a car in two halves, one side without a pre-rinse and the other side with a pre-rinse. It showed the side without the pre-rinse left the paint cleaner after rinsing the foam off. The thought was that the water from the pre-rinse made it more difficult for the foam to attach to the dirt, while without the pre-rinse, the foam quickly encapsulated the dirt and rinsed off cleaner. I guess you could call this a pre-rinse as well but with foam before water. Just wanted to throw that out there. Thought it was pretty interesting.
Yea I agree with that. I don’t always prefoam, dwell, and rinse… I do if the car is extra dirty and want it to break down the dirt more. With this car it wasn’t too bad so I don’t have any concerns with that. And as a mobile Detailer I have limited resources with me so I need to use the water as efficiently as possible.
Excellent video. Fast and straight to the point with detailed information when needed. Thank you!
I’m not in the detailing business, I wash my cars at home, it takes me 20 minutes to wash and dry, 30 minutes to put everything away.
Your channel is so great. I am a 63-year-old nurse that works really long hours. I live on a dirt road. My car gets so dirty I got scolded at the car wash... even though I prewashed it with a hose. Looks like I'm going to have to do it myself. Picking up my Greenworks 3000 2 gph electric pressure washer tomorrow and using your tips. I think I can do this in less time than waiting at the carwash. It will be much cheaper and no fussing because i have a little dirt under my fender. Goodbye to Tidal Wave! (And good riddance!) Goo Goo car wash didn't complain but just tore my back windshield washer off twice. And I worry about how driving on that thing affects my car. Thank you so much!
I really admire that at 63 yr old nurse can still find time and energy to wash her own car. No more excuses for me!
Get the 2700 and save a little, it's more versatile when using different tips.
thats sad
Really my favorite channel for car detailing, learned a lot. Thanks a ton Josh ❤️
Thanks so much 🙏
Great video! A video on how to speed things up for Interior cleaning would be a great addition
Great job as always Josh
Great video and tips! I have a full size pickup truck, so I tend to double this time and product just because there is more surface area.
Great info, Josh!! I like keeping my vehicles clean and maintained, including my Motorcycle. Will order some products you use for this quick method. Thank you. Scribed!!
For me, washing car is neither therapeutics nor is a chore; it is a “challenge”. So having said that, Thank You for your video.
Just discovered your channel, this video is amazing, thanks for sharing your techniques! Love that you're doing it in the bright sun too.
Yeah it really isn’t relatable when you have a guy on KZhead washing the car in a shop or garage.
Hey Josh… a big fan of all your detailing videos. I find them very informative and easy to follow. I am a newbie to car detailing and am trying to figure out exactly which products you actually use for your business. I have noticed that on all videos you have different types of products you use. Just trying to simplify chemicals with what I actually need to use for different parts of the car.
Monday morning 'quick wash' including set-up and putting stuff away..... 1 hour. No detailing brushes, no tire brushing, etc. I agree with rinsing the foam off before the contact wash ! 😊
I’ve got a caviar black lc 500 Lexus and was so scared to wash but your method rocked it my friend !!! Thank you so much
thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
Thanks for the video I have been using a cordless pressure washer makes setup even faster it not a chore it is therapeutic for me also 😀
You got a new sub, amazing work❤
A 1st-time viewer here (now a subscriber) , a longtime detailer (35+ years). A lot has changed during my time and I am trying to get more modernized. I am taking your advice on a foam canon- thanks. 2 questions( for now) . 1) I have always wanted a mobile car wash truck - does yours have water onboard or do you plug into your location's water supply? 2) How much $ do you charge for a basic hand wash like the one you so gracefully performed in this video?
Cleaning windows with water !!! Dang josh it works so well , you rock bud
I absolutely love this ❤
Great work Josh. Can we get an Absolute Rinseless Wash review.
lol that's the exact process I use. no need to waste time when you have great chemicals and tools to use them to your advantage and speed up the processes. Great demonstration. I don't even use buckets anymore. I have a wash mit at ech corner of the car and do a quarter at a time spraying ringing them out then spraying with the power washer... wheels just foam all the wheels them go around with your wand, woolie and tire brush. why roll a bucket around to do anything. don't even need buckets of water at all. some clients question your work though since you can finish quickly so they have to see the result and then apologize. every new detailer.. don't worry you only get faster and more efficient as you go and find out tips n tricks.
That was quick and thorough.
Very effective efficiency w movement nicely done
Every video is gold thank you
I thought about picking up a bottle of that Brake R. Thanks to you I'm a big fan of Their detail spray
Hey Josh love your videos mang! You were the reason I pulled the trigger on purchasing the Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer. Question, can you make a video on safety techniques for us newbies when it comes to operating a generator, pressure washer, steam cleaner etc? Please advise thanks. Again love your content!
Nice video and PDF. THANKS!!
It takes me 30 minutes to get all my stuff pulled out of shed and have them ready😢
Great job
Masterclass piece.
You kill it my friend
Love the gauntlet! Nice video man!
Josh you rock
Great video, now I want to time myself to see how fast I can get it done. I think it can get more people away from the automatic car washes ruining their paint's finish
Hi David! I'm in the same pursuit too as many of my coworkers take their vehicles through the swirl tunnel.
Excellent video. So many videos out there showing how to get your car looking perfect. This is great. Look I only have 10-15 mins. What can I achieve in that time? 👏
I would have thought you would rinse the foam first?? Aren’t you just scrubbing the dirt the foam is holding across the paintwork?
I made a comment prior to reading yours saying essentially the same thing. I use a two coat method. Foam, rinse, refoam, hand wash.
Just got a ford explorer, not ideal, but going to start my quick 10 minute mobile car wash business this month! Been wanting to do it for years. Great video!
How did it go if you dont mind me asking
Any updates on how it went
@@RedPhilip0912 man, issues getting truck inspected, hopefully start next week tho, always something
@@FXPips11update now?
@@kizzysenpai kizzy, thnkyou for followups, much encouragement!! Well, i junked the explorer, just couldn't get the money to inspection it. So i have no vehicle now, smh, no business now, And, eviction notice, ahhhhh, never stops. THNKS AGAIN, and keep grinding Brother!
Great video. Can you please do a review on Brake-R? I would love to see how it works. Thx
Thanks Josh
That'd the exact order I do it in pretty much the same style using both hands on tools, and still takes me 10x longer! Not to mention how bloody organised this guy is!
Honestly my usual exterior wash and interior vacuum runs 45min to and hour. This was just to show what can be done if youre in a pinch for time!
Best car detailing channel on youtube.
Thanks so much!!! Appreciate it
Great content!
Thank you ❤
Man. I’ve been watching a ton of videos from you and from other pros. I grew up in a family of detail enthusiast and have found that most of the practices I use line up with professional methods. What I DO NOT understand is how you foamed that car and proceeded to wash the entire thing before rinsing. If I did those exact steps the soap would be drying before I finished my first panel. I sure wish I could get to the bottom of this as I am starting to do some weekend warrior detailing and figuring that out would save me A TON of time.
20 minutes for me with all the arthritis I have, lol! Great job!
Perfect
I feel wasjing your car without a foam cannon is a chore and washing your car is therapeutic I love it haha
What's that towel you used to dry the vehicle ??? Which ones do you recommend?
Excellent video!
Thank you!!
Hi friend, super video 🔥🔥🔥. Can you tell me the reference for windows towel please ? Looking forward to your reply.
Excellent!
Hey Josh. Great stuff. I find it therapeutic but I would like to make it a faster process. How would that Technician’s Choice Wheel Cleaner work on low gloss gray wheels? Thank you.
Thanks Josh. May have to hit you up when I get my new rig so I can have you guys prep the car prior to me coating it
👍👍
Love the videos!!! I did want to ask if I use my foam cannon do I pre wash first ? Also do I need to do two bucket method when using foam cannon?
awesome video, I will give this 10-minute wash a try. Do you prefer Tech choice brake R over P&B brake Buster?
Wow!!! How you power your pressure washer and how many gallons of water can you carry or usually carry?
For the contact wash, did you have anything mixed in the bucket? Or just water?
Yessss. Finally someone who wash the way I wash my cars. Hahahah. Simple and fast 🥰
Which hose do you use for the pressure washer? Looks nice and anti coil And the gun as well
Can you make a video for quick interior detail Thanks 👍
hi, thanks for the video, it was real helpful. I ordered the foam can, but the dry towel is out of stock. Do you have any other good recommendations?
This strategy is only applicable to either new cars or clients who maintain there cars well. The slow down in any detail usually has to do with the condition of the vehicle. You couldn’t do this on a 2008 Chevy Tahoe that’s been thru a shit storm. Rims will have to be thoroughly cleaned and in my experience- requires 1-2 passes of agitation to get adequate results. On poorly maintained paint- I usually go in with an APC diluted 10-1 pre wash to help make my life easier when it comes to the contact wash. Anybody can wash a new car or well maintained car since it requires to little no agitation. Try this on a an older unprotected vehicle and show the results.
Hey, quick question, I have an electric PW with a working pressure of 1595 PSI(maximum rated 1885 PSI) and 1.6 GPM(maximum rated 1.8 GPM), do you think that the 1.1 orifice on a foam gun would stall/pulsate the PW ?
Hey Josh I like your video's tell how much you charge a SUV I'm thinking open my business and good detailing
Hello good night, I hope you find well. I have been following your content for a long time, and I am interested in purchasing a pressure washer. Which one would you recommend? I am between the Active VE52 and buying all the accessories you recommend or the Adam's Pressure Washer 2.0 that comes with the hose, quick connectors and a short gun
What brand of drying towel do you use?
Love your videos Josh. Picked up some great info from you along the way. Did you stand on a microfiber towel 😢in the door sills to dry the top of the car? If not…yikes. No polisher will take out the scratches left by your shoes.
Take a closer look...the car has running boards with rubber strips.
Took your recommendation and got the Greenworks pro 2300 and got basically all the stuff you suggested on this video… I’m so amazed how much quicker a good pressure washer can help with ease of cleaning. I had an old Sunjoe pressure washer before and I have to say the Greenworks Pro is so much better at rinsing off the dirt for the pre wash with so much more water hitting the car than the old sunjoe.
Its the very nice use same one also for couple years maybe. Upgraded hose and gun.
What about the Roybi small cube pressure washer ?
I bought a sun Joe on amazon and it sucked so bad. It was about as strong as my water hose. I returned it. Picking up my Greenworks tomorrow.
Thank you
do you wash the microfiber you used or just throw?
What do you recommend when a vehicle of any kind is covered in bugs your foam cannon and hand wash combined doesn’t get them all off i typically get the bugs off with CG bug and tar remover first then do what you did for the 10 min wash ??
How do you adjust your pressure washer? I have the Ryobi brand 2300psi. My foam cannon don’t seem to push as much suds, I’ve used the soaps and items you’ve suggested, the smaller orifice but no luck.
& I go into any detail with the impression that customer is picky. It always keeps me focused on the details while simultaneously maintaining my quality of work especially on hot sunny days where towards the end we always tend to get lazy and skip over a few spots
I a question when using a clay mitt is the foam enough or some quick detail spray can be used
Do you use the same soap for both your foam cannon and bucket for contact cleaning?
I usually do unless I am doing a specific higher oh pre wash…
Do you ever use a pre soak/pre wash that you would spray on before foaming?
My issue with being able to speed wash is that I'm constantly fighting the hose (flexzilla because Amazon was sold out of the other one you recommended at the time), and for the roof I'm up and down a step stool. Plus, it's the one time no one tries to talk to me or bother me with whatever so I kind of take my time.
The Flexzilla should have similar properties as the ones he recommends on Amazon and Walmart. Maybe you don’t have the swivel attachment? That always seems to be the biggest issue. Btw, I can’t do it in 10 min. I probably don’t even get my wheels and tires done in 10 min. I also add a couple steps besides washing wheels and tires thoroughly, i switch to a different pressure washer (“low pressure” cordless) that is connected to distilled water, and use this after the rinse and then I start worrying about the drying process. Take my time at that stage, because I have soft water on the car and don’t have to worry about water spots. Using a cordless leaf blower. Then I start drying the wheels and tires first, then the rest of the car with towel and drying aide (Technicians Choice ceramic detail spray). Maybe I’ve got too many steps?
@@KosmicHRTRacingTeam it probably is a lack of swivel. Likely buying a new stubby with a swivel after more important expenses (engine repairs) are passed. I run it out straight and in no time it's twisted up on itself. I don't switch between PW's since I only own the one, but I do rinse with just the hose and a nozzle because my PW seems like it doesn't rinse as clean or as quick. The water in my area is something really low like 49ppm for dissolved solids, so a DI water system isn't that big of a deal for me. I'm drying it right away anyway using a mix of blower and towels. Sometimes just towels if I don't feel like dragging out the extension cord. Even then I have a little cordless Rigid shop blower that I'll use for the wheels, mirrors, and where water hides (that thing just chews through batteries, not good for the whole car). If it's a really sunny day and the car starts drying from the sun (no garage or shade access), I'll just re-wet where necessary and dry from there. If my car was black I might have a different experience, but it's white. Actually at the house there's 1 white, 1 off white (Chrysler called it cool vanilla), and one gold car. None really spot too bad...except after rain. Then it's ridiculous. Oh. Yeah. Current stubby is from Chem Guys. It works fine, but lack of swivel and a frankly tiring trigger pull are sending me running for an MTM.
Thank you for the video. So, when drying the car, using a clean dedicated drying towel , you don't need to use a drying aid for lubrication when drying? I've used quick detailers before, spraying on the panel as I dry, but I've always wondered if this is necessary? ( my car is ceramic coated ).
What washer hose do you use? I like the way that thing looks and reacts to your movements
Do you go back and take extra time to clean off bugs/tar that are not removed during the contact wash? The Mercedes looked clean and probably garage kept. What about the minivan that sits outside and gets trashed?
I do 5 min washes. No wheel focus. I use a big soft brush on the foam and a Makita leaf blower to dry... Not as good towels but does it for me
Costco towels are the best❤
okay and what do you do with the microfiber towels and the dryer towel? do you put it in laundry or let it soak in soap water bucket?
Hi Is pre-wash with ph neutral soap is alot better than only prewash with water?
How many cars can you dry with your drying towel…and how often/how do you wash them?
Josh- The editing of your videos has definitely jumped up a few notches, music was great. In stead of hand drying, have you ever considered a high-powered battery leaf blower?
10 minutes! Great job, take me 10 minutes just to get all my gears ready to start. 😂
What I do that you might find helpful is I have a box of all my cleaning equipment, towels and chemicals ready to go. Just bring it out and you’re ready to start!
Good Job man. Wish I could detail in 10mins 🤣 takes me 10mins alone to setup my stuff hahaha😊
What do you use for aluminum alloy wheels? I noticed the prewash spray you used on the wheels you recommended not to use on alloy wheels.
What noozles are you using for the rinse? I just purchased the Greenworks 3000 psi. Are there specific noozles I should use to ensure I don't have too much pressure?
Something I learned when working at a car wash, Always dry the sunny side first because that’s the side that drys fastest leaving less streaks…
Yea that’s good advice! I’m using spot free water so it’s not quite as important but still a good rule to go by!
I think been fast is a very underrated topic in detaling
Do you have a video on a pressure washer under $80 you would buy and added attachments you would suggest
I like to do a quick wash like this on my cars in the evening. Pull into the garage and leave it overnight. Then the next day it’s so much easier to dry the jambs, dress the tires and just use a little detail spray to wipe the drips and wheels. Breaking it up takes the chore out of it.
I don't detail but would a small electric leaf blower help to get rid of most of the water and if so what are your thoughts on using one for drying?
Josh do you use the same brand of chemicals no matter the car? Do you ever have new client request certain brands?
