Mark 85 is actually worse than Infinity War's mark 50 because the mark 85 was't designed for Tonys protection and it had fewer offensive capabilities than Mark 50, thats why Iron Man kicked ass in Infinity War but was ass kicked in Endgame

Tony Stark, built his armor, all of his weapons and even his A.I. It came FROM Tony Stark himself. All of it. Cap and Bucky's abilities came FROM something else such as the serum, the arm, and the shield. Tony Stark managed to defeat 6 skrulls without his suit in the comics. Apart from being a genius, he's been trained by Black Panther, Black Widow, and Steve Rogers himself in hand to hand. Even with fighting skills, I doubt a 5'4 sickly Steve Rogers would win against Tony Stark. Cap's a badass, especially in the MCU, but he simply can't win against Ironman without help from someone else. That's all.

Have to say, Stark's MK 46 is by far my favorite suit. Its capabilities are far beyond its predecessors, I was surpirised how well he held out in this fight.
This is literally how Ironman = Sentinel Prime Captain America = Optimus Prime Winter Soldier = Megatron The WHOLE battle and OUTCOME that happened literally matched it. Even the Megatron/Winter Soldier distraction hit.

If Tony was bloodlusted and plot didn't save Steve and Bucky, he would've definitely won.
Tony technically was bloodlusted against Bucky but his mistake was wanting to see Bucky suffer a more up close death, to give Bucky's death a very personal touch,which is what gave them a melee range advantage. If Tony had no other motivation except to WIN, in the most efficient and impersonal way, he'd just hover out of reach and shower the two in missiles and then laser beam whoever is still squirming after getting their limbs blown off.
I mean, he went h2h against Killian who could melt suits, so Iron Man just has a bad habit of getting too close despite a range advantage. Whiplash also had limited range, but still caused a lot of trouble for him.
+Vibranium Shield True, Tony really wants to be a "punchy" hero when really his greatest strength is range and mobility. But I guess it'd be less climactic if say, all his drones at the end of IM3 just stayed well out of reach of all the Extremis soldiers, who had little in the way of ranged attacks and just gunned them down with Tony's advanced targeting systems and freaking laser beams. But nope, they have to fly in close and try to punch the armor melting guys.

Hands down one of the best fights in the MCU. I'm sure you could find better fights technically, but this fight is no slouch in the technical department either. And when you combine the technical aspects with the dramatic aspects of two characters we've grown to care about slugging it out over the life of Cap's best friend, it puts into hall of fame territory. Also, this came just after the Airport fight, another one of MCU's greatest and even though fewer people are fighting it somehow feels more intense.
