He said athletically they are phenomenal but they lack fundamentals and the rules have changed so much that it's not basketball anymore. Guys are stronger, faster, and uber quick now. Box him out, the guy just slips around you. You can't GRAB, TUG, and CLUTCH like the 90s or 2000s anymore.

    • He doesnt look atheletic coz hes white. Thats what hes actually saying. Theres plenty of atheletic white players in the NBA including the one that just won the dunk contest. Besides in todays NBA atheleticism alone cant guarantee success. Look at Luka, Jokic. Very skilled in every aspect of the game. But being atheletic does help a lot on the defensive end.

  • Reeves clearly pattern his game after Kobe. Kudos! Kobe did it to Jordan and look where it got him. You can't expect too much from Reeves yet, but it is good to see. This is only his second year, and with limited opportunities. Can you imagine if they were trying to motivate him like a Ja Morant or those other young stars? Most players get the 2nd year slump, but not Reeves. He didn't get discouraged when LBJ tried to control him. He is just waiting...and now here he is again.
