  • Best move for SS would be to use same shape, better clicks, better technology overall inside the mouse, and they will have one of the best ergo mice on the market.

    • It's unbelievable how picky people are with gaming mice. This is a top-tier mouse besides the sensor and software which have little to no effect on gameplay. Its on par with the astronomically overrated G Pro Superlight for a fraction of the price if you buy it wired($40). The clicks and scroll are fine too idk how you could ask for more, better yet name a mouse that has better clicks/scroll wheel...oh wait you can't.

  • they really need to make a lightweight version of this along with the sensei. if they make a sensei with optical switches, 55-60 grams, good coating, and a 4k option dongle. it’ll be a top mouse

  • I gave the Prime Wireless a try and could not adjust to the shape - I found it too narrow at the front and too wide at the back. Maybe my hands are small? Not sure. The software was such a disappointment that I moved on to another mouse very quickly regardless of my reservations about the shape. One quirk that my unit featured was incredibly inconsistent button sounds, mostly with the two primary buttons.

  • I have mixed feelings about Prime. When I first took it out of the box, I wanted to immediately put it back in, I didn’t like its appearance so much. But when i tried it in game it felt amazing, comfortable shape, the clicks are so satisfying, the wheel has so well defined steps. But every time I turn my glaze on it... ugh. Complete opposite to GPW which looks great on a desk but I just can't play well with it.

    • I’m currently thinking to change my g pro because it feels small for me. I’m looking for Prime or g 703. What do you think is Prime Wireless good choice?

    • @@keipi9635 depends on your grip and where exactly the GPW feels small. Prime has narrower front and wider back

  • What is it so bad about the sensor? You can't even feel the difference, professionals make tests and there is no visible differrnce between any if the top sensors so in my opinion that's not an issue at all, the one on the Prime performs perfectly fine, it's a top sensor.

  • It's not perfect no. But the shape is the best there is, and more importantly for me, the switches are by far the best out there. Some dislike them for being heavy, which might affect some types of gaming (not applicable for me though). But they offer a crisp click while being 100% smooth. No wobble, no scratchiness, none. Both of which is what drove me mad when I was cycling through 6 different light-weight gaming mice. They all had horrible switches in this regard. And although I liked the shape of all the light-weight ergo Zowie-EC2-clones like the Model D, the Prime's shape is a marked improvement upon that shape in terms of gripping the mouse for lifting it, not to mention the material used has somewhat of a PBT-like texture that helps with that as well, and, no honeycomb and rock-solid build quality, which is a plus. For me, this outweighs all the downsides like the front-heavyness combined with the weird sensor-placement. But not the price though. It's too expensive for sure. But the wired option is great value, and every now and then the wireless has a great discount too.

  • If you mix a pound of honey with a pound of shit, you get two pounds of shit. If you're buying a "great mouse" but stuck with shit software, you are left with a shit experience... I think the future's going to be something like PMM's mice where you get the perfect shape and just run some common hardware with rock solid software. I could forgive the senor if the software made up for it, but I think Steelseries treats their software design the way Realtek does. This has been my experience with SteelSeries anyway. (Since you mentioned the Orochi, it's been my experience with Razer as well. Orochi V2's such a lovely mouse, too bad I need a burner PC to adjust settings.)

  • Hi! Is the mouse feet of steelseries prime wired and wireless are the same?

    @noisenoys@noisenoys Жыл бұрын
    • Doesn't look like they are. You could buy some after market ones if you need them

    • Ohh okay thank you! I guess i'll buy the after market feet that i saw online even though in the description of the feet is only for prime wireless. Coz i've already seen the after market in the steelseries website and it says "compatible with prime wired/wireless :D maybe theyre the same.

  • They really need to release a light weight wireless sensei. It’s the best shape steel series has but they seem to ignore it a lot as of late.
