Ashnikko has been one of our fave left-of-center artists for a while now. A little more than a year ago, we inducted the trash-talking pixie to our DSCVR ranks. What we wrote in the descriptions for last year's “Deal With It” and “Daisy” performances still holds true today: “Anyone who needs a primer on the 24-year-old should just think of her blue hair as a metaphor for her sound - totally wild and reliably ambitious.” The spikes are gone, yes, but the hair is still deep sapphire; most importantly, her edge is sharp as ever. We welcomed her to our new London studio to perform “Panic Attacks in Paradise” and its b-side, “Maggots.” The former is one of the tamest songs she’s ever released, revealing the breadth of her skills. The latter track is signature Ashnikko: abrasive, expletive-laden rap-rock. Choose your mood.

Exactly, especially the watch me blow up part. I love this song and this just made it all the more better. I’ve been listening to this since it came out and I didn’t even realize it was 10 days ago until today lol. I also love the maggots one she did like this, my two favorite songs.
That's because it's realistic. That was just a video.

@@hano5277 she has pitch correction (aka autotune) even when she is live. Good song though. While the lyrics are a lil cringe, very lil peep mixed with all the hair dyed girls currently, they are pretty good. Leaves me with a lot of questions. Complaining about how you have someone who loves you but you won’t let em sorta falls short of gaining empathy from everyone who is the bf's position in such a dynamic. Sounds like something you spare the other person from up until you’ve worked yourself out with a therapist first.

I never hear anyone say this but Ash's clothes/aesthetic are amazing. I know that in music videos there are designers that help with this kind of stuff but it amazes me every time because they mach the music so well.

@@Mokry_Kaktus One- Carnivorous or not Unicorns are still cute. Two- She has said multiple times that she layers her voice and only uses autotune when necessary (Not to compare but like how Billie uses autotune to make her voice sound robot-ish or Demon like)
It's a live vocal but she's obviously being helped out a bit by some kind of effects/processing, not saying it's autotune (though autotune these days seems to mean any vocal manipulation/effect used) , but it's def not a totally unfiltered live vocal either, not a criticism on her part but there's no point in deluding yourself that she's singing live without help here.

We all know she can sing without it. But it's not honest to listen to this and say she isn't using it and is 100% singing live and sounding that good on her own; she isn't
