They are often talked about in the same breath but Khabib and Islam have a vastly different mindset. Khabib is brutal, cold, domineering and almost tyrannical. You can see it in his coaching, in his ground and pound and general fighting style. He emits a "kingly" aura - one fit to rule. Considering his place in the hearts and minds of his fellow Dagistani's it's a fair comparison to make. He really is the king of the tribe. On the other hand, Islam is warm, affectionate, quiet almost wistful. In training, he embraces his brothers and team mates, he shows a very clear affection towards a lot of people. He emits an aura of quiet, pervasive love - that of a priest or a monk. In his fights he operates as a calm technician. I think Khabib's general mindset is far better suited for being Champion but I'm curious to see how far Islam can go.
Khabib rent a big house, rent alot of cars and pay it by himself....just for all his brothers....for their training camp...and khabib coaching them as well....man.....i wish i could have a brother like khabib.

You can see it in his coaching, in his ground and pound and general fighting style. He emits a "kingly" aura - one fit to rule. Considering his place in the hearts and minds of his fellow Dagistani's it's a fair comparison to make. He really is the king of the tribe. On the other hand, Islam is warm, affectionate, quiet almost wistful. In training, he embraces his brothers and team mates, he shows a very clear affection towards a lot of people. He emits an aura of quiet, pervasive love - that of a priest or a monk. In his fights he operates as a calm technician. I think Khabib's general mindset is far better suited for being Champion but I'm curious to see how far Islam can go.
