Hmm who’s deleted the comment about John
John and Rueben always seem like a great team in these videos
Enjouee that. Be good to have a video on company update etc, lots of people wanting to know about John. Its prob none of our business but when you put your business out there, people are genuinely interested.
Great video as usual. You can get some rubber MC4 caps to seal the unused cable ends bit better than PVC tape, but you need to remember to have a set with you. I found cutting with water feed on a big angle grinder is faster and no dust, but probably too messy for use up on the scaffolding. There was no mention of spacing between the rails running up the roof to match the mounting positions on the panels - not sure how critical this is for snow and wind loading on the panels. I was thinking it might be worth looking at 2 different styles of hooks to get a better spacing of rails.
great video guys, where are you getting the solar skirt from ?
How do you handle roof slates which are much thinner? Not enough material to make that kind of slot.
Alright so, so another excellent video. It seems all of you get on well, at least on camera?
It's not good to delete comments
Only advice I have, wash them, like your Windows!!! Keep them efficient. 👍😎🙂
Really fun video ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
In-loft TV aerials, they're fun aren't they? 🤕
Whats pants are you using? 4:50
well I asked a camper van guy and they swear by a dob of sika at each corner and its good for motorway speeds.....
Nice video. Sad to see John go...
hmm i don´t quite get whats the point in using optimizers on all panels on such an installation, as far as i have understood these mainly optimize panels in a string that have shadow on them and would "pull" all of them down perfomance wise, or if the string in like on south and east side of an roof, but as it is here, all same orientation and no shadows from trees (as far as i could tell from watching) in my opinion they are not needed and just add to the cost or are there any other benfits you have using these. All of the solar systems i have mounted here in germany i never used them and only herad of using them if you have spots on the panels where are shadows casts
Well, half of one string is on the garage, and the rest on the main roof, so you would need them for that. And by the time you've done that then you might as well fit for all panels.
@@mudmucks yeah but wouldn´t you put the garage on its own string and on its on tracker on the inverter? if they would only cost like 10€ i would say who cares but i think they cost more than that and that adds up thats why i asked if there are other benefits for using them
Agreed, no idea why they mixed it up like that. Maybe there is a maximum capacity per string, so couldn't put all the main building panels on one string, so had to put some of them with the garage panels. But still seems a bit of a mish-mash ☺️
There is no snow in England like there is in Germany? But the wonderful overcast weather and short days.
Looks like this was filmed awhile ago, he mentions Jordan and he isn't in the country.
Considering John has been made redundant, and Jordan is sunning it up out the country, I’m guessing this video was shot a while ago
@@cedard5388 John's been made redundant?
@@TheXeroid yeah and it seems like more of the team have to
With bolts and hooks
Absolutely fantastic Jordan would be proud of all of you. I sure am🥜 one complaint Mr Jordan we need at least 35 to 40 minutes of viewing time. Is that at all possible? If not why!
Yes, more like this.....
👍👍
What’s happened with the redundancies ? Shame to see John go
Must be crazy letting a man of his experience go.
This is an old video, before Jordan fled the country
So, I do that to, so I feel the pain in the start there. So...
I want a video every day
Would love to give you guys constant videos but that will not be happening right now haha
Couple of constructive criticism. 1. Don't tape up the MC4 ends, use the proper end caps. 2. Ban your guys from using impact drivers, for clamps, again use the proper tool ie a torque wrench. 3. The cable managment under the panels was none existent, tie the excess to the frame
I feel like this video was cut short, was just getting into it and it ended.
Nice video again. Thnx. But you should follow your own advice: 'ALWAYS wear a hard hat'
Yes, you are right
Not always. Wear a hard hat when there is a risk of something hitting your head or your head hitting something. No need to wear a hard hat when working at the top of scaffold as there is nothing above you and a a hard hat isn’t going to protect your head in a fall, they’re not designed for that.
is there any reason you can't fix the hooks to the roof beams in the centre of the hooks, as opposed to one end...!! And why are these 'hooks' designed this way, surely the design should flip the fixing point 90 degrees so it can be better fixed to the roof timbers...!!!
good day, do you need solar dc cables? we make quality solar dc cables. our solar dc cables are made of tinned copper with tuv certificate.
Sticky tape and cardboard
Solar panels on roofs - they don't clean them. Use that lawn, at ground level, where you can easily clean them. 👍👍👍
Not everyone has the space on the ground and the higher up the better
@@kobirelf97 I know, it's a quandary, isn't it?
Wrong roof hooks used. Jokers.
alright, so...😊 I have to say I love these vid's...I'm Electrician also... greething from Germany...😅😊😉🫠✌️
Glad you like them!
