  • I sure like the "SCRUNCH-SCRUNCH"sound that thing makes when it moves a LOT more than the infernal "BEEPING" that pretty much all heavy equipment makes here in the USA. Makes MUCH more sense to have a sound that can pretty much only be heard as far as the machine could possibly move ins say, 3 minutes, rather than that danged BEEPING that can be heard for miles farther than the machine could possibly move in 10 or 15 minutes and drives everyone crazy. Not to mention that the workers right there at the work site get very quickly immune to the racket and don't even hear the very sound that is MANDATED and is SUPPOSED TO keep them safe!!!

  • Looks like they are on private rodes so I imagine anything goes to get the move done. I've seen these moved properly in my town before on public roads. They disassemble the excavator in 3 to 4 pieces the boom arm on a truck, the 2 tracks on a truck and the body on another truck.

  • I appreciate seeing a good operator using hydraulics properly in a tough situation. I believe I wound have wanted it tied down however they probably knew the terrain to be covered well enough that the operator felt better not being tied to the trailer if it slid off.

  • Those "wavers" are always fun to look at. No matter how quick the operator is the act to slowly. The frequency of the wavers hand movement increases within a tenth of a second if the operator has not started the required action instantly.

    • There is only one point where I spotted smoke coming from the rear and that's when the trailer touched the ground in a corner. So probably just some dust. BTW not saying it wasn't overloaded, it totally was.

  • I guess they just had to move it on a short distance in a mining complex... This is not intended to go on road, that’s why it looks so sketchy. Must be an old trailer used for that purpose

    • sure. it's not chained down, and there's no way you would transport it on road with the boom hanging out the back like that. it's an onsite reposition.

    • Nothing wrong with the side loading technique used in the video. Obviously for highway transport leaving the machine 90* to the trailer doesnt work, nor does leaving the boom reached out. But the biggest problem is this machine is probably at least double the weight this trailer is rated for.
