If there's any X-Men characters I want to see be redeemed in the MCU it's Rouge, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Psylocke and Jubilee (she seriously deserves some Justice)
I can definitely see Gambit with his own Disney plus series with multiple seasons. Same for Jubilee. Rogue can bounce between Avengers projects and other X-men projects. As for Psylocke, main member of the X-men roster.

I'm convinced that Bryan Singer hated Storm. He kept pushing her into the background and killing her off at one point. Much disrespect for an Omega-level mutant and LEADER of the X-Men.

Gambit definitely needs some love! Especially, how crazy his story is. Before x men, after x men, horsemen of the apocalypse, sinister. Yeah and he’s my favorite. Was one of the most power mutant before he met the sinister. Just couldn’t control his powers.
Can we just agree, less Wolverine this time? Like, I get people were enchanted by Hugh Jackman's performance, but he has THREE solo films, AND was the main character in three or four of the other X-Men films. Let a different X-Man shine for a change.

Agreed, I'm only 22 so I got my start of the original X-Men trilogy when I was little and until I found the X-Men: TAS and Evolution, I just thought X-Men was just "The Wolverine Show". Watching other incarnations of the X-Men in its true ensemble glory just made me like the original trilogy less even though it will always have a place in my heart for being my intro. Although Storm was criminally underappreciated in the original trilogy and I will NEVER forgive them for that, she NEEDS her own movie!

Let me be the first to say that If X-Men Origins: Wolverine was better written, we could have gotten a Solid Roster of X-Men Origin movies for other characters, from Storm and Nightcrawler, to Rouge and Gambit. There are Plenty of X-Men Heroes and Villains that deserve their own solo movies, if not TV Shows.

Rogue should've been Number 1 because she gets the short end of the stick in the films. From a powerful, badass and brave hero to a useless little crybaby who is always in need of rescue. Also, her relationship with Iceman just doesn't work because she and Gambit are a match made in heaven. They're made for each other. Respect to you for putting Jean Grey in the Number 1 spot because she is inaccurately adapted in the films but she gets to much screen time and has always the spotlight. Hell, she even has her own film. Rogue should have the top spot.

My top picks to see in the MCU would be X-23, Gambit, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue. Wolverine was great but I honestly felt Logan was a good end to close out that story.
Unless you want to bring him in, as with Hawkeye, as the aging mentor of the youthful heir apparent in a Disney+ series. That would be a great use of Logan, and a great way to introduce X-23. And the actress, I believe her name is Daphne Keener, has expressed interest in reprising the role, so that is something for them to consider.

Gambit was my favourite for a long time and I was upset when the X Men movies barely even used him.
If we do get Gambit in the MCU, I don't think Channing is a good fit for him. If anyone wants to see how Gambit should be in live action form, watch the 90's x-men show that's available on disney plus. He is literally my favorite x-men and I named my dog after him. If disney brings him onto the big screen again, they better deliver.

That's what I always say. Channing would be a miserable fit for Gambit. Sadly, there isn't any high profile name that would fit either. Could be a good role for an up and coming actor.
I totally want to see Taylor Kitsch get another chance to play Gambit. His talents should not have been wasted in Origins Wolverine. Extra cherry on top if they get Chris Potter to play older version of Gambit.
I couldn't disagree with you more having picked Jean Grey as number one! She's always been treated as a main character and has had several story arches in multiple outings to her credit (good or bad that's a different story). On the other hand, it is downright criminal that you forgot the most injusticed and underrated X-character of all time: Psylocke! A fan favourite for die-hard aficionados, Elizabeth Braddock has one of the most compelling storylines, and could've been used as a team mate for Wolverine at any given time. Her appearances in movies have been so pitiful and awkward that fans would have rather gone without. I sincerely hope that you rectify your list and amend this unforgivable mistake.
Jean was not a main character in any of the fox movies the first one she didn't do anything in the second one her sacrifice meant nothing is the third one the screwed up her storyline and they treat her like a background character and an X-Men apocalypse nobody cared about her and they destroyed her in dark Phoenix again not giving her the spotlight that she deserves in the movie that supposed to be about her in my opinion she is the most character who need to be redeemed heck not even the Animated Series did her Justice they made her weak and pathetic the only good adaptation of her character was in those five episode of the dark Phoenix Saga in the animated series and an X-Men evolution and Wolverine in the X-Men even though she was barely in that one they're really just made her Wolverine crash in the movies there is more to her character than just that
Thank you. Betsy Braddock/Psylocke has always been my favorite female character in the mutant world, at least since her introduction. Rogue and X-23 are a close second and third. Longshot and Wolverine were my favorite males. My favorite New Mutant was actually Magik. Honorable mention is Colossus and Storm. I also liked Banshee and Havok. I loved him because of his "Cry Havok" battle cry.

I'm a Huge X-Men Fan! My favorite X-Men is Cyclops. I would love to see a origin movie. He is the leader of the X-Men. You have to tell his story. Gambit is a good origin movie to do too. We need more X-Men Origin Movies.
Totally agree with this entire list. At first I was wondering why Colossus wasn’t on this list, but then I remembered he was in the Deadpool movies and they redeemed him. There are still a plethora of mutants they could make great MCU appearances. if they plan on bringing Wolverine, perhaps a newer solo movie or cameo appearance in another film would help. Just to give the other Xmen more chances to shine.
Easily done. Introduce X-23 in a Disney+ series, and have Logan serve with her as Hawkeye did with Kate Bishop. Problem solved. That is if they go that route.
@Edge Shadow GR The problem is that Wolverine is so compelling and popular that he became the focal point of all things mutant when Fox had the X-men properties. That tended to minimize the other mutants far more than they deserved. I was not so much advocating eliminating him entirely, but suggesting, perhaps, that he be a later addition, perhaps as Fox did in X2 with Nightcrawler. Perhaps he comes in the second movie in search of his clone/daughter X-23. This allows them to develop a core group of others, like Storm and Scott, both of whom were quite poorly handled by Fox. To me those two and Charles are the key characters. You have the initial and the future leadership of the team, along with its founder. And I really think that the Brotherhood is not the best initial Big Bad. I might start them with Juggernaut. Then bring in Magneto for the second, then the third can have the Brotherhood because Magneto discovers the need for help. Keep the old friendship between Charles and Erik, that has always been a cornerstone of their complex relationship, both friends and rivals. Akin to Malcum and Martin, in my view. I know they didn't really know each other, but I saw a what if type of quasi-documentary that suggested that if they did, they would be friends who merely saw different paths to the same objective. Malcolm, contrary to the perception that still exists, was a pacifist, and believed in passive resistance. He believed that you stand your ground and force them to drag you away. You don't fight them, you make them the villains by making them hurt you. He was more like Gandhi without the hunger strikes. Martin was also nonviolent, but a different sort of nonviolent. This is how Charles and Erik are. That friendship should be part of the character development. That was what made First Class arguably the best of the four reboots. Then, at some point after the third we give Rogue, who would have been introduced in the third film as a member of the Brotherhood, her own title, one where we have the confrontation with Captain Marvel. That causes Rogue to lose control, and only Charles can help her come to grips with her powers. This brings Rogue into the fold, so to speak. Or perhaps they can do the X-men as a series. This can allow them to focus an episode on a single element or character more, and build up for the team film to come later with the entire team already developed. I am saying that Marvel is not likely to repeat Fox's mistakes. Thus we will be saved from a repeat of Last Stand. The first two were good, but Last Stand was horrific in so many ways. And let's not even get started on Origins:Wolverine. The second Wolverine stand alone was okay, but it had serious flaws of its own. They somewhat redeemed themselves with, again, the first two from the reboot, especially First Class. But Age of Apocalypse was such pitiful tripe, and Dark Phoenix was a nightmare. Then there was New Mutants, and the less said about that the better. I can think of few movies based on Marvel characters worse. The third Blade film, Howard the Duck and the Punisher sequel come to mind on that point Ghost Rider also comes to mind as possibly worse. I also was not enamored of the Ang Lee version of Hulk either or the Trank reboot of Fantastic Four. What I suppose I am saying is that New Mutants is definitely one of the worst films ever made based on a Marvel character. Perhaps introducing them in a series would be best after all. And they could make this one a multiple season deal. That would allow them to give a variety of characters a chance to showcase themselves. That is just a thought, but I think it might be on the minds of Feige and company. Just a few observations, opinions and thoughts.
Forget the X-Men for a sec. Can we go back and redeem the Silver Surfer from 2007's Fantastic Four? He Deserved better.

The best era of X-Men was in the 70s and the 80s the X-Men team was made of cyclops Wolverine Phoenix storm Colossus Nightcrawler and banshee that was the classic X-Men team in my opinion the best

I have never liked Cyclops, and I probably never will, but after seeing his role cut short in the X-Men movies I did realize his importance. He needs to be the leader of the X-Men. His role in the team is important. His personality type amongst theirs is important. They should have never made the movies all about Wolverine.
I think it was about money. The overall love for Wolverine pushed his character to the forefront. The other X-men should have gotten their own solo movies too.
They need to bring Rogue in. Having Carol in the MCU and not have her get involved with Rogue would be insane.

It would definitely be a missed opportunity to not include Rogue in The Marvels or any of Captain Marvel’s movies. And if they adapt the Dark Phoenix storyline again, I reckon this time they should make it a miniseries like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, etc.
Well, Marvel Studios is already adapting one big Marvel storyline for the MCU as a miniseries (Secret Invasion), so that's a realistic possibility.

Underrated and in no particular order: Emma Frost, Pro X, Magneto, Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, Night Crawler, Darwin, Storm, Ice Man. Fox were good at shining lights on a few, but the MCU crew never left out the awesome abilities of their team and always made everyone shine throughout the movies and not just once per movie.

I have been waiting for THIS list for a long long time
cyclops should be number 1, dude's literally the team leader and the character with the most dramatic storylines in the classic Claremont run, and yet people barely remember he's a character in the films.
The First 5 X-Men, Gambit, Havok, X23,Storm, Warpath, and Bishop need the most attention in the MCU if introduced; these X-Men have never been done justice in their portrayals.

Jubilee really needs some justice. She went from a background Easter egg character in the first half of X-Men films to a side character in X-men Apocalypse.
What I like about the X-Men movies is their sense of individuality, and their ability to think outside the box Most of the MCU movies look the same, and they almost never take risks

I’d argue that the MCU is starting to branch into other areas of cinema. Just look at Multiverse of Madness. You have gothic and horror elements crossed with a superhero movie, all directed by a man who specializes in graphically violent horror pieces.

Bobby was handled well in the original trilogy - he wasn’t the extremely powerful mutant he has become in the comics, he was still a high-schooler when we met him, and was still developing his power set. When we meet him again in DoFP he has developed his stills and personality massively, he’s a natural leader and hero If you want an Iceman who shows the even greater skills of AoA Bobby or future Bobby from the comics that would be a development from the first three, not necessarily a replacement

I prefer these actors to reprise their roles in MCU 1. Taylor Kitsch - Gambit (the perfect gambit actor) 2. Olivia Munn - Psylocke (did well with the role and her costume looks good) 3. Caleb Landry Jones - Banshee (super pissed when he was killed off-screen in XMen DoFP) 4. Evan Peters - (he became Ralph Bohner in WandaVision so i dunno if he will return in Agatha miniseries) 5. James Marsden - Cyclops (i prefer to see adult Cyclops and not obsessed with Jean Grey) 6. Shawn Ashmore - Iceman (he is 100% in to reprise the role if offered by Marvel) 7. Aaron Stanford - Pyro (good rival to Iceman) 8. Bingbing Fan - Blink (good fit for the role) 9. Daniel Cudmore - Collosus (i hate the cgi collosus in Deadpool 1&2) 10. Lana Condor - Jubilee (her character didn't have much screen time and never got to see her powers) 11. Ink of XMen DoFP (i think this character has an interesting power(s) can cast new actor for the role.

For me though, there's one person who's history with the Xmen is so complicated because she herself has been toeing the line between hero and villain for decades; Emma Frost. Sure, Cyclops had an affair with her in his mind where she roleplayed as Dark Pheonix. Sure she dragged the Xmen into a conflict with the Inhumans and yes, her DNA was used to make the 5 in 1. She isn't the strongest telepath but this nuanced character has so much compassion as a teacher and regularly dunks on Kingpin. However, her appearances in the movies are a little dull. One was her being a cameo in Legends Wolverine and the other as a minion to Sebastian Shaw who was killed offscreen between movies. If we need to give Jean Grey a rest, this iconic mutant deserves a chance.

You're right Emma need more attention where's the only appropriate time to introduce is during the dark Phoenix Saga and have her redeemed after the dark Phoenix Saga and after Jean Grays death so she can take her place in the X-Men this is the only way I could see Emma join the X-Men

I think the original trilogy did a good job of introducing some experienced X-Men with a rotating group of secondary team members for support. By X3 we had a decent core team that they could have showcased but instead of doing Fall of the Mutants (in which Shadowcat, Angel, Colossus, and Nightcrawler were wounded, opening up space for Psylocke, Dazzler, Havok, and Gambit in the comics) they rebooted. Rogue could have powered up fighting the Marauders (maybe absorbing a couple of dying Morlocks) . Wounded Angel could then have been mutated by Apocalypse, leading to a showdown, which could have been followed by the reveal that Scott and Jean were on ice at Essex Corp to produce a genetically engineered child. Secret Wars and Age of Apocalypse could still be major events on top. Part of me hopes that they learned from Spider-Man that avoiding a stone cold reboot can pay off but I also have more fondness for the set up from the original trilogy, the Wolverine, and Days of Future Past than rest of the soft reboot. Somehow I found it harder to engage with a homogenised novice teen team rather that a team of mixed age and experience.

This list had to be made with specifically Cyclops in mind! Cyke is the fearless leader of the X-men(NOT WOLVERINE SMH) and has been since day 1, the first student of Prof X, has greater DNA potential than most of all mutants, is a brilliant tactician one of the best not to far from Captain America and a few others. Fox has never shown the true capability that his Optic Blasts can do! His optic blast are extremely powerful especially when he removes his visor he can literally blow super strong beings away with his blasts. Cyke has literally beaten the whole team of X-men in the comics and if I remember correctly(if I’m mistaken on some parts my bad) but on that team he beat was Storm, Colossus, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler. He’s fought Wolverine to a standstill on a number of times but that’s to said if Logan held back or not because in a lot of their fights Logan doesn’t say he held back. The most recent fight that I can remember was X-men Schism when there was a rift between the mutants and most notably(that I can remember) were Cyke and Logan! I can’t remember who won or if it were I draw I’d have to go back and read it because I don’t like to spread misinformation. But Logan Cyke we’re fighting like they didn’t know each other Logan even stabbed and cut Cyke a few times stabbed him through the arm but Cyke did just as much to Logan if not more but Logan has his healing factor and with his healing factor he also has a large amount of stamina. But even with all that Cyke still stuck with him nonetheless. I HATE how people always sleep on Cyclops and act as if he’s a whining Boy-Scout when he was heartbroken with the death of the love of his life but the movies made him look like a D list hero just to make Logan look good smh I hate that! And some people say they don’t like Cyke because he’s always stuck up stoic but he has to be he’s the leader of a team and not just any team at that he’s the leader of one of if not arguably the biggest team in Marvel Comics. So, he doesn’t have the time to be running around all Willy Neely playing tiddlywinks and cracking jokes he has to be taken serious because he’s the leader and in the comics the face of the X-men and if he doesn’t get respect from his own people how does he expect to receive respect from others so he does what he has to do to earn the respect of his team! People never talk about Captain America when he’s just as stoic and literally more of a Boy Scout than Cyclops lol. I mean Cap has been known to crack a few jokes here and there but so has Cyclops his jokes are just not as mainstream as Caps were put out there.
Cyclops was done so dirty in the fox X men movies he needs to be redeemed and get the respect he deserves.

I want to share my thoughts on how we want to see the new Jean (and some X-Men in general) in the MCU: Rumor has it that Cyclops and Wolverine will be on the team from the very beginning, and Jean will be new to the team. And they will both compete to be her boyfriend. And that suits me. Since it will be part of the main focus, and through it it will be possible to get acquainted with the new X-Men. Like in the X-Men Season One comic. And so it can be in the first two full-fledged films. In the second (where the villain, in my opinion, should be Mister Sinister), where at the end Logan can admit defeat without jealousy, and Gene will be with Scott. And then, Jean will turn into a Phoenix. But this time it will not be in the usual Phoenix Saga, but in the adaptation - Avengers vs. X-Men! A film that is sure to garner huge box office and positive critical acclaim. With strong alterations compared to the original, of course. Making the cause of the conflict between both teams instead of Hope Summers on Jean. Since the Phoenix will just appear, Jean will receive a psychic signal that this cosmic entity will soon take possession of her, since she is an Omega level mutant. The X-Men will of course protect her in their own way, but the Avengers will figure they can protect Jean better and deal with the Phoenix themselves. Because of what, both teams will fight with each other. Until the Phoenix comes and takes over Cyclops and several other X-Men, and one of the Avengers dies. And in this form, Phoenix destroys everything in its path in order to possess Jean. The Avengers and the remaining X-Men (led by Wolverine) unite, and Jean, realizing all the responsibility that has fallen, mentally prepares for a meeting with the Phoenix. And there is a final battle of both teams against the Phoenix, in the final of which, Jean saves Cyclops and the others, and allows the Phoenix to move into her body. But she is knocked out in time, after which, she is locked in a tank of water inside the shuttle, and sent into self-imposed exile in the far reaches of space. After that, I propose to end Jean's story here on Earth, and start her story in space as the Phoenix. To which it will be possible to dedicate a solo series on Disney +. In which, after a shuttle crash, Jean will travel the universe in search of a way to take full control of the Phoenix Force. And such a journey could lead her to the Shiar. She fears the power within her, but when there is no other choice, she tries to use that power to save those in need. Being "dressed" in a green and gold suit. But he tries to do it quickly, and use force in moderation. Since at any moment, this same force can take control over her mind and body, temporarily turning her Dark Phoenix, "dressed" in a black and red suit, and in this form, arranging various chaos. And as if that were not enough, large military forces will want to take possession of such power, regardless of the danger. While Phoenix will seek to take complete control over Jean's body and mind. To do this, she, taking control over Jean's body and arranging various destruction and murders, put pressure on Jean with guilt, self-hatred and more and more loneliness away from her home (Earth). And in general - Phoenix, being a villain sitting inside the heroine, with the proper approach and diligence, can turn out to be a powerful villain. For the role of Jean, with the idea that I have described, we need an actress of the age of 20-25 years. Since she should have 3-4 films and a whole series with a potential sequel.
