    • Your dad did an correct thing! Fear Allah! Do not Label this "Halal Memes"! In most places this video contains mocking people which is a major sin but atleast not kufr. BUT IN some other places it contains mocking Islam! Example: Check the last one! It says: "Arab grandmas: "I got married at 13". It is an act of kufr Akbar(Major Disbelief) and Riddah(Apostasy) ! You might say that "I'm just joking" but that is not an excuse. I urge the one who uploaded this video to learn the Deen(Religion)! And, tell the one to say the shahadah to enter into Islam again and repent! The scholars unanimously agreed that this makes you leave Islam. Evidences: If you question them, they will certainly say, “We were only talking idly and joking around.” Say, “Was it Allah, His revelations, and His Messenger that you ridiculed?” Make no excuses! You have lost faith after your belief. If We pardon a group of you(I.e those who repent), We will punish others for their wickedness. (Surah at tawbah, 55 & 56) At the time of the battle of Tabuk, those who had set out with the Prophet Muhammad were treated as staunch and courageous people, while those who remained behind at home were considered hypocrites and cowards. The hypocrites who stayed at home started ridiculing the Prophet and his companions in order to belittle the action taken by them. Some said, ‘In these reciters of the Quran, we see nothing except that they are the hungriest among us, the most extreme liars among us and the worst cowards among us.’ Some asked, ‘Do you think that fighting the Romans is like internal fighting among the Arabs? By God! Tomorrow all these people will be seen tied and bound.’ Others said, ‘This gentleman thinks that he will conquer and capture the palaces and castles of Rome. It’s a pity.’ (Tafsir ibn Kathir). When the Prophet Muhammad came to know about this, he called them and asked them about it. They said, ‘We were simply talking jocularly. (Check the tafseer named tazkirul Quran) Shaykh ‘Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If someone mocks the religion by mocking the beard or shortening of the thobe, is that regarded as disbelief (kufr)? He replied: It depends. If his aim is to mock the religion, then it constitutes apostasy, as Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): {Say, “Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?” Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief} [at-Tawbah 9:65-66]. After that, he was asked: What if he says: I say that to people to make them laugh, by way of joking? He replied: This is not permissible; it is an evil deed and the one who does it is taking a risk, and if his aim is to mock the religion, then it constitutes disbelief (kufr)."(Fatawa ash-Shaykh Ibn Baz 28/365, 366 2. If it is mocking people themselves and their worldly actions that have nothing to do with religion, then it comes under the heading of evildoing (fisq), concerning which Allah, may He be exalted, said (interpretation of the meaning): {O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them} [al-Hujurat 49:11]. 3. As for the possibility that it may be both disbelief (kufr) that puts a person beyond the bounds of Islam and evildoing (fisq), this refers to mocking the Muslim for his religious commitment and his appearance that is in accordance with the Sunnah. If the mockery is because of the religious teaching that the Muslim is adhering to, then it constitutes disbelief that puts a person beyond the bounds of Islam. If it is mocking the Muslim himself because, for example, he is not religious enough to show that he is a committed Muslim, or because he goes to extremes or is very strict in implementing the Sunnah in a manner that is not supported by the religious texts, then this comes under the heading of evildoing, because it is mocking a person and is not mocking the religion.     • These are not halal! Fear Allah! Do not Label this "Halal Memes"! In most places this video contains mocking people which is a major sin but atleast not kufr. BUT IN some other places it contains mocking Islam! Example: Check the last one! It says: "Arab grandmas: "I got married at 13". It is an act of kufr Akbar(Major Disbelief) and Riddah(Apostasy) ! You might say that "I'm just joking" but that is not an excuse. I urge the one who uploaded this video to learn the Deen(Religion)! And, tell the one to say the shahadah to enter into Islam again and repent! The scholars unanimously agreed that this makes you leave Islam. Evidences: If you question them, they will certainly say, “We were only talking idly and joking around.” Say, “Was it Allah, His revelations, and His Messenger that you ridiculed?” Make no excuses! You have lost faith after your belief. If We pardon a group of you(I.e those who repent), We will punish others for their wickedness. (Surah at tawbah, 55 & 56) At the time of the battle of Tabuk, those who had set out with the Prophet Muhammad were treated as staunch and courageous people, while those who remained behind at home were considered hypocrites and cowards. The hypocrites who stayed at home started ridiculing the Prophet and his companions in order to belittle the action taken by them. Some said, ‘In these reciters of the Quran, we see nothing except that they are the hungriest among us, the most extreme liars among us and the worst cowards among us.’ Some asked, ‘Do you think that fighting the Romans is like internal fighting among the Arabs? By God! Tomorrow all these people will be seen tied and bound.’ Others said, ‘This gentleman thinks that he will conquer and capture the palaces and castles of Rome. It’s a pity.’ (Tafsir ibn Kathir). When the Prophet Muhammad came to know about this, he called them and asked them about it. They said, ‘We were simply talking jocularly. (Check the tafseer named tazkirul Quran) Shaykh ‘Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If someone mocks the religion by mocking the beard or shortening of the thobe, is that regarded as disbelief (kufr)? He replied: It depends. If his aim is to mock the religion, then it constitutes apostasy, as Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): {Say, “Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?” Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief} [at-Tawbah 9:65-66]. After that, he was asked: What if he says: I say that to people to make them laugh, by way of joking? He replied: This is not permissible; it is an evil deed and the one who does it is taking a risk, and if his aim is to mock the religion, then it constitutes disbelief (kufr)."(Fatawa ash-Shaykh Ibn Baz 28/365, 366 2. If it is mocking people themselves and their worldly actions that have nothing to do with religion, then it comes under the heading of evildoing (fisq), concerning which Allah, may He be exalted, said (interpretation of the meaning): {O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them} [al-Hujurat 49:11]. 3. As for the possibility that it may be both disbelief (kufr) that puts a person beyond the bounds of Islam and evildoing (fisq), this refers to mocking the Muslim for his religious commitment and his appearance that is in accordance with the Sunnah. If the mockery is because of the religious teaching that the Muslim is adhering to, then it constitutes disbelief that puts a person beyond the bounds of Islam. If it is mocking the Muslim himself because, for example, he is not religious enough to show that he is a committed Muslim, or because he goes to extremes or is very strict in implementing the Sunnah in a manner that is not supported by the religious texts, then this comes under the heading of evildoing, because it is mocking a person and is not mocking the religion.
