Croatia (Hrvatska) is a country in Southeast Europe. Croatia shares a beautiful coastline along the Adriatic Sea, and is a major travel destination. Croatia's capital and largest city is Zagreb. Croatia is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Europe, with a total of 20 million annual visitors. Tourism in Croatia is concentrated in the areas along the Adriatic coast and is strongly seasonal. 8 areas in Croatia have been designated national parks, with an additional 11 as nature parks. There are also 10 sites in Croatia on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites.

    • I drive Croatia. First trip I drove the coastline, after that I drove central Croatia to experience mountain villages and the fabulous rivers. My family home is a small island in the Zadar archipelago so I do some ferry trips as well. Every time, I discover new places but always wonderful sights and fab food and wine.

  • One correction. This year, the Pelješki Bridge was completed and with it the whole of Croatia was connected by road. And that means you no longer have to go through Bosnia and Herzegovina to the other part of Croatia.

  • Serbian concentration camp for children: - Rakovica manastir near belgrade Serbian rp camo for children during the yugoslav in the 1990s: - Omarska camp - Prijedor - Foca - Visegrad and many others... Serbs rpd over 50.000 bosniak and croatian children during the yugoslav in the 1990s Not the Gestapo but the whole world was disgusted... Wonder why noone wants to visit serbia...

    • @@W.T.G The issue is back in the day, usually before 1918, the term Balkan referred to the Orthodox and muslim countries of South Eastern Europe. Not to Catholic countries like Croatia which were part of Austria-Hungary so "Mitteleuropa". After 1918 the political situation changed...
