An Ohio man allegedly tried to kidnap a young girl. Ken'Adi Nash, 6, was taking out the trash when Deric McPherson inappropriately touched her. He started to walk off but then turned back and apparently tried to haul her away. The young girl screamed and was able to get away. After she ran inside, her dad drove around trying to find the alleged kidnapper. He found the man hiding at an auto body shop down the street. The man was arrested and charged with abduction and inappropriate touching.
That guy is lucky. The girl protected herself, and the dad didn’t kill the guy.

Every parent’s nightmare. Well done little lady, well done! Years ago when my eldest child was only 3, a couple tried to kidnap my son. I had already drummed into his little head that some people want to hurt children so he must scream his head off if anyone tries to take him. Fortunately there was CCTV footage and they were both arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping. It still gives me the chills to this day.

A man sat on the steps outside while my sister, myself, and other children played. One day I happened to be inside our apartment but looking out the window and the man and another man with him stood at his apartment door and motioned me to come over while holding up a Mr. Goodbar. I nodded my head no. My Mom was making pancakes and was not about to give that up. I stayed away from that man after that. Some years later my family went back to those apartments to visit someone my parents knew and that same man was sitting on the steps. I told my parents years later about that experience and my Dad told me he told that man to stay away from his little girl. That was in 1974.

i just talked to my mom im 31 and she said now there using money on the floor. tell your girls to not touch or pick up money on the floor. they change these schemes every 3 month. first it was a shirt, then an egg, to oil so they would go out there car and clean it and grab you. now it was a flyer laced with fentanyl to now money laced fentanyl on the groud. sorry but i had to text you this bc your a father. a good father with 3 daughter if your i a open carry state. get them guns. i send my prayers of protection over your house and territory.

My mother used to “practice” what to do in a situation like this when I was a kid. She would pretend to be a kidnapper and taught me how to act in a situation like that. Luckily I’ve never experienced something like that.

Sending your kids to throw the trash out is such a norm and an easy way to teach responsibility at a young age. I have both my 6-7yr kids take the trash out on their own and this video has brought me some real awareness. I will no longer send them on their own. I’ll walk out with them and watch them throw the trash out. Thank you for sharing! I pray no internal damage is left on this little sweet girl. I’m so proud of her. ❤️

In Japan is normal for kids as young as 3 to do errands for parents and even have mini shopping carts for kids at grocery stores because it’s very safe in JP

I am horrified with what that man did and well done to the brave little girl. Here in the UK young kids do not take out the trash we call it taking the bins out here, or go to shops by themselves. I know it must be normal for other countries to let young children to take out the bins, but it is better to be safe by going with your child or letting your child help you with the bins and help with other errands that will not require young children to be alone and unsafe. Respect to this kids parents teaching her how to handle this situation! It's disgusting that a kid can't even be safe by their own house. If you're a parent please do what these parents did and make sure to keep an eye on your kids.
My older son was sick today so I rode with my kindergartener to school - stuff like this in the back of mind. We go over with them what to do in this scenario often. Kudos to Dad, too. He’s a hero! This wouldn’t be his last attempt…he was just warming up.
My daughter did listen to my advice which saved her from a stalker. I told her to always trust her gut. Immediately tell someone what’s happening and take their photo. She did all of these things and the police were called.
