It was so cool to listen to people speaking Yiddish, I mean I didn't know how Yiddish sounds like and as you started to speak I kind of was shocked because I could understand most of the spoken sentences without the translation. Besides that, really funny video! Could you do more with her?

  • Sehr Gute! Mayim is a very interesting young woman. Clearly, she is a well educated career women in real life and she is conveying to the audience a harsh reality that many successful career women find themselves in daily: Finding a well educated and successful man for a relationship and/or marriage is very difficult Yiddish or not. The war on boys and men has created a scarcity of well educated and successful men that meet the modern day standards of educated career Western women who feel it is necessary to be a bit picky.

  • Depending on whether you are a Litvak or a Glitzianer you would pronounce it Chullent or Chillent. So the conjoining of chill and chillent is not a stretch at all. For those not familiar, Yiddish was the primary language of Jews in Russia even though the language is similar to German (except that it has a totally different "personality". ) Jews were not allowed to participate in many aspects of Russian life in the "Pale of Settlement", which had the effect of preserving their culture and language as they kept largely to themselves.
