I think it depends on the fan speed,i think that by using developer mode you can change the fan speed and try it out
Give it time Eventually when it can’t handle games in the future the fan will be at max speed and then it’ll work

Lol, it is possible after upgrading the fan with a much higher flow rate… Like a 12v industrial Delta fan that can choppy choppy fingers and create the floating ball affect…. But this may be overkill… but definitely possible for any low lever electronics guy

Try running a game, getting out of it but leaving it in the background so it does quick resume mode. Open a different game like warzone and see if it goes up

@@jn.r Yeah even on my series S I can have like 4 games all open at once and switch between them on the fly and playing from where the game was paused. When I unplug it and take it to another house I can still launch the games from quick resume without loading them up again. It's awesome

The ammount of air it would need to actually do this is alot more then the console produces 😂 i did this on a large scale at a science fair with a shop vacume and a beach ball I had the hose mounted so the ball was continously floating the whole fair without me having to hold the vacuum so I could present awnser questions and even walk around. And look at other peoples projects! You can actually get the pig pong ball floating just by blowing with your mouth if you have a good lung capacity! It's pretty cool how it works and entertaining. ✌

I'm maybe the last guy to comment But i just wanna say if the xbox was working super hard (that makes the fans spin super fast to keep the temperature down) the air coming out of the console will lift the ping pong up.

You have to run a AAA game at max setting and hoping that the console doesn't self destruct in order for it to work

Play stations break so much easier than Xbox’s (over time i mean) I bought a PS3, a new one on the same year as I bought an Xbox 360, and I bought the Xbox 360 earlier than the PlayStation . I can still play on my Xbox 360 and it works fine, but my ps3 completely flat lined like 2 years ago. And my PS4 sounds super loud too, it’s probably on the way to being absolutely unplayable. Whilst my Xbox one is completely fine, bought it earlier than the PS4 as well.

From what I've tried so far, the Gears 5 campaign makes it spin quite faster after a while. Very silently still, mind you, but might be able to make the ball float

dude you might want to briefly look at the physics lab demonstration (from like Harvard Physics Dept.)
Maybe it would work if we used a really really light ping pong ball and did some fan modifications on the series x where we put that fan speed on 100.
