  • The sentence should've been life without the possibility of parole. If you take a life, you should automatically be sentenced to either the death penalty or life without parole.

    • Laws definitely need to change with domestic violence when it comes to females as well as males. The law tends to side most with the female, and there are just as many abusive females as males. No one talks about it, turns a blinds eye to it, and the male victims don't come forward because, more than likely, most people won't believe them. However in the case, this guy has to pay for his crime. My condolences to the family.

  • This man could have chosen to leave when she asked him to . If she had a knife,he could have walked outside and called the police to retrieve his belongings from her place..he escalated the already toxic situation.. things didn't work out it happens sometimes.he could have moved on .. got counseling.. eventually started dating again with lessons learned... They didn't have children.they weren't even married.. they also are mature ages. Break ups can be hard but its not as hard as doing hard time ...

Do everything you possible can to make sure when he come out of prison it will be in a body bad, period. • Oh my goodness, the daughter and I have the same thoughts. I told them they better never let him out of prison. The only way he come out from behind bars, it better be in a body bag. God is AWESOME!!! This happened to me and it has been 26 years. As she said her mom was the glue to their family, my sister was the glue to our family. I pray that this family get closer because the phone calls, text messages, and whatever else will stop coming. But the void in our lives is there forever. All that say they loved Ms. Amanda Williams, please continue to keep in touch just as much as you all did when she was here amongst us. This family is going to really need this and believe me when I say, those phone calls, text messages, dropping in helps more than you realize. May God keep his arms around this family and hold them closer to his bosom. Give them all they need and is gonna need each and every day going forward. A very special Blessing upon her daughter and granddaughter. Ms. Williams, rest peacefully with her Heavenly wings. You are loved and will always be. 💛💛💛💛🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Then when the daughter came up to speak, the female officer with glasses held her arm out for an unnecessary amount of time guiding her where to go, as if the young lady was gonna do something crazy. Maybe it's just me, but the cops in the court room all seemed to have attitudes.

  • Very very sad. I watched the live sentencing and was very hurt and disappointed. Basically this man was sentenced to 24 years in prison. He may even served less than that. This is a big slap in the face to this beautiful woman's family. He deserves the death penalty for what he done and the lifelong pain to her family. All he had to do was leave when going to the car. That is the main thing because the rest would have never happened. She was a beautiful woman with lots going for herself. How and why she even gave this monster the time of the day is a mystery me.

    @tywright3849@tywright3849Ай бұрын
  • I didn’t watch the trial, so I don’t understand how he is not getting mandatory life in prison, without parole, let alone parole after 15 years? He shot her to death, while she was in bed? That’s not protecting himself! They didn’t convict him of aggravated murder, I’m not sure what the standards are for that in Ohio, but they did convict him of murder. Anybody who kills, other than in self-defense of themselves or others, should never be let out of prison. If you take a life like this, you should never be able to be paroled and get to live free again.

  • WOW! 241/2 years w/ the possibility of parole? A slap on the wrist. Pitiful how the murderer didn’t value her life but the court doesn’t either. Maybe if he does the full 24 and 1/2 years in prison, no he deserves to have what he did to her done to him double fold. Her pain, fear and anxiety, if only his sick twisted mind could even perceive the level of what she felt, I would be satisfied. But he’s a sick fu-k empathy is not in him.
