Fabulous items! So happy for the owner.
I have read all Maya Angelou's books. She is Amazing.
It's so good 😊
A lovely little piece of history.
So very nice to have seen this.
I went to Maya Angelou's estate sale in Winston-Salem
Why aren't your full episodes available to watch in Canada anymore?
My Goodness! Jesus!
I would donate them to an African American Museum.
He will sell it because usually everyone on the road show does. Wouldn't you.?
No, because he was a fan of the recipient, that’s value enough for him
He was ready to pay $5,000 for it on a what was basically a whim. That appraisal doesn't hit him as hard as it would some other people.
first
Fascinating items. I'm from England and I've never heard of the Negro League. Is it baseball or basketball or something else?
Baseball
It was the baseball league that was created to show off the most talented players in America, who were not permitted to play in the mainstream Major League Baseball. That barrier was broken by Jackie Robinson, who was mentioned in this video as a recipient of this same award, in 1947.
