The Day I Fell in Love with 28 Gauge

2023 ж. 12 Сәу.

I have become smitten with these little guns over the year for their beautiful lines and broad load range, but it was only when I shot this little gun at Hudson Farm in New Jersey that I fell head over heels for them.
I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive passion!
Enjoy!

  • This has very quickly become one of the very few channels I watch all of every video on despite them not all being relevant to me at all. It's always been a good channel but the last few years since you guys took the full plunge into KZhead and TGS Outdoors the content and it's quality really has been fantasic and we can tell! Loving the videos, the filming and the presenting guys. I might even sneak in a membership :)

  • I bought my wife a 28 gauge autoloader, which she loves. In fact, so do I and U find myself reaching for it over my own 12 ga. 28 gauge is so overlooked and underappreciated.

  • I have a 28 gauge Ithaca, built in the first quarter of 2010. My favorite uplands gun. First off sold in Tennessee then somehow emigrated to Ontario, Canada. Slightly edging out the 20 gauge as my #1 field gun.

  • I handled and swung that gun, yesterday. Beautiful gun, works great on quail from what I witnessed from the two guys shooting them. Half or a third of the weight of my Caesar Guerini and my K-80

  • Can’t tell you how great to see this video in my feed today. My favorite channel and host at my favorite place to shoot. Yes, I have to take a lesson to be able to shoot at this private club (or participate in one of their many charity events), but it is so worth it. Looking forward to attending their 100th anniversary event in June, where I’ll have the opportunity to try all the top shotguns _- hopefully the Longthornes as well. Thanks, as always, for the premium quality video, information, and entertainment!

  • Hudson farm is a beautiful place ,it is very unaffordable to most of your viewers. I have had work done there and it is a pricey shop. The gun room as you showed is a gem . There new showroom is being built and should be outstanding. Pricing is high as are fine guns everywhere. With out a drought it is the best collection for folks like me to get a glimpse at a best made British side by side.Should have made a side trip to Chicchis pizza in Bound Brook. The best pizza around.

  • I keep waiting for American titanium 3D printing, you know you can do that now. I keep waiting for that to become the new barrels. I mean you could actually 3D print air pockets in it to keep it cool and light. Maybe that's how a lot of the gun industry might come back to America, because a lot of American companies, as you know make overseas. Anyway, that's just something I've been wondering. This place is way too fancy for me, it would be bad for my reputation to go there. I love that you went there in Goodwill clothing though haha I really wish you could go into like a classic American hunting store, they just don't exist anymore. Bunch of old World war II vets sitting around drinking coffee usually made out of a enamel coffee pot. Pre 1964 Winchester Model 70 and Remington 700s. 1895 Winchester... Usually a pacific Northwest boot and some LL Bean boots. Maps tacked up on the wall, usually topographic. Kabar and case Scandinavian knives. A blaze orange hat with the store name on it, almost looked like they stamped it there with a rubber stamp. Military surplus field jackets, orange vest. Stories of the war, or of hunting, or old stories going back generations. It would tell you about a valley that they saw a giant deer in, ask them when it was they were only boy. They tell you about deer 37 points 7 ft. Spread, bigger than an elk. These old men, fusing folklore and the modern world. And all that's gone

  • $5K being an affordable rifle is insane to me. British gun culture is interesting to me because you can see how much more of a rich man's pursuit it is there. Here in the US you turn 18 and go pick up a PSA ar15 and a holsun reddot maybe someone shows you how to zero it. I know this episode was shot in the US but this really isn't the experience of most American shoters.

  • Are 28 cartridges expensive? 20's are in comparison with 12's, but my guess is that's down to production numbers, as in the more you make of one type is cheaper it is? Sorry, my degree in Engineering took over..
