Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Tomiyasu, Ramsdale, White, Odegaard, Gabriel are all in their early twenties. If Arsenal keep this team together and supplement them with additional quality it inevitable they will be among the top teams challenging for the title. I actually think Martinelli has the ability to gatecrash the Haaland/Mbappe debate among great young strikers. Ronaldinho has already compared him to Brazilian Ronaldo. He is brilliant.

Referees also don't determine if the ball goes in or not, the goal line has technology that tells the referees if the goal went in or not. That was stupid and nonsensical positioning by the referee. Cities best player was the ref, some days city will be out classed and out played get decisions that clearly wrong go their way. Cities performance was awful, got a win,. Arsenal had a penalty in the 1st half but the ref & VAR denied it-Ederson made contact with Martinelli after Martinelli had touch the ball-Ederson's challenge was late. VAR was cruel to Arsenal. The Benardo shirt pull was just brief-not enough to warrant a penalty-too soft. Arsenal are victims of VAR again

Tierney had Mahrez in his pocket and Mahrez was well rested, Mahrez didn't play against Brentford. Rodri got dominated in midfield and he didn't play against Brentford, he was well rested. That foul on Oddegard looks like a 50/50 to me. I tried to Slo-mo but I still can’t determine if Ederson got the ball FIRST. So I guess the refs had a hard time looking at it today. I’m not surprised and I’m completely fine about it. In my opinion, I think the ref’s decision was correct since it looks more like Ederson got the ball before Oddegard. So no penalty in my opinion, but it’s up to you. Overall, it’s too close to call, but I’m trusting the refs this time.
