Came here after listening to 2 am, particularly after watching the song’s background story where Zeeshan Ali explains how Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan and Jagjit Singh are his influences (all of whose voices are close to my heart). May their legacy remain intact for ages to come. He has kept Nusrat Sir’s spirit while infusing his own touch to the song. Grateful to hear masterpieces like these!

I remember those days of 2016 back when I was in my 10th standard and those cold evenings of December when this song used to come up on tv by Nescafe basement. Indeed what a time it was and this epic piece of art playing at the back added charm to those days while i held a cup of tea in my hands watching the sun set ughhh such nostalgia it is🥺🥺
How effortlessly he sings such complex parts of the song is beyond tremendous! The entire arrangement can put coke studio songs to shame! What a masterpiece! 🙏🏻

I just discovered this Gem and couldn't listen to it enough. Beautiful voice and immaculate performance by Zeeshan Ali. This music is definitely world class!! This song is highly under-rated for the views it has gotten. I would put this music in the same level in terms of music quality and vocal performance as the Weeknd even though they are different genres.
I love the Weeknd but this is much higher music quality because it’s live music and composed for a full band, not only keyboards and a laptop.

Zeeshan Ali has undersung this song on pitch....he cudve gone to any range but he has his own version to render....he is definitely an intelligent singer ...imagine making his singing speak for himself when he is singing at decibels way below the instruments....that's not the way for the Badshahs and the Kakkars of the world
Well both are different in their own way. Comparison is not even logical. While Nusrat Sahab's was more towards emotional side, this was more of an scheme which brought modern instruments, older ones and classical together to form a beautiful mixture. Would just enjoy the song rather than be a critique. :)

I was just searching for rishi Rish's version as that's the one from my youth that I adore and performed to many times (I've been a Primary School dance teacher for 20 years and performed as a dancer before that) and this version popped up.
