This video is now on my personal channel. Please check it out there: • DIY Predator Mask! (3D...
This is how I made the mask from the Predator movie from 1987. I 3D printed the mask on my CR-10 and used spray paint and acrylics to paint it. I used 3/4" backer rod and plasti dip for the dreadlocks.

TOOLS/MATERIALS
All of these links are the links I used to get the materials. Please note that they are mostly Amazon.ca links. If you do not live in Canada, some products may not be available. All of these links were active at the time of making this video, but some products may be unavailable in the future.
(Anything without a link can probably be bought from a hardware store, besides the printer itself)
Printer: Creality CR-10
Filament “ERYONE Filament PLA 1.75mm” (in the video I credited Creality PLA, which I have used in the past, but for this project it was sold out so I used ERYONE PLA. Personally, I didn’t notice a difference.)

  • I used 1 inch backer rod and it doesn't move freely enough like dreadlocks should especially if you have a shoulder Cannon you won't be able to move your head very easily because the backer rod it's just a little too hard although it looks phenomenal. I had to take all of it off and redo it in a different material. I suppose when you go smaller and backer rod they move a little bit more freely the smaller you go but they don't look that well when you go half inch or less.

    • I've lost the stls, but they're just simple cylinders. Shouldn't be too hard to model them up in tinkercad or onshape

    • I usually don't sell my projects. I encourage you to try building one for yourself! Even if you don't have a printer, there are services that will print the pieces for you, and you can paint it yourself.
