Zelensky never wanted the oblasts to be able to vote on their state status referendums and after many voted he wasn't going to recognize the votes. He wanted total control of all lands old and new. All his new laws invalidated original landowners if they were of Russian origin. The Germans did the same thing. Interesting that he decides to speak out when Ukraine is virtually finished. Ukraine must negotiate surrender now, or continue to lose 50% of its land, plus access to the Black Sea. He had several years too speak out, especially when Boris Johnson tore up the March/April 2022 Security Agreement between Russia and Ukraine which would have ended the war within one month of Russia having entered Ukraine. Where was he then... that was the time to speak out to stop this war.... But he has chosen to speak, when Ukraine has no more people to fight on.
