@@jjradV Good question. I can't answer for divinecomedy0, but I myself feel so much happier knowing that I no longer pay for cows to have their babies taken away from them. (And the fact that oat barista milk tastes better than dairy milk is a nice incidental bonus. Even my non-vegan relatives have all started using oat milk now.)

If your ancestors are from a northern climate you will begin getting sick in around 6 months time on a purely vegan diet. If that is what you want to do, have at it, but don't force your human hating, brain dead, nonsense on the rest of us. On top of that, a lot plants vegans consume require the death of the plant. So you are still feeding on the death of a living being. But people with god complexes love to feel they can decide which lifeforms it's okay to kill and eat. For some reason, I burst into tears when Margaret met Helen. This was one of the most touching stories I’ve seen on GeoBeats, and all their stories are touching. Thank you for giving these ladies some love and dignity in their later years.
Yes, this brought tears to my eyes as well. This is a very emotional story. Cows are very smart animals...how sad they were in captivity all those years...and then their calves taken from them.

This sanctuary is like a RETIREMENT community for dairy cows. Even though the business world no longer wants Margaret or Helen, it's nice to see they can share each others' company and get pampered. After paying their dues most of their lives, they deserve to enjoy their golden years!
Why should any animal need to deserve "retirement"?
It is scary how so few people know how the dairy industry works and the evil it is. After livivng in a slavery concentration camp for grieving mothers and getting every baby taken away from them so humans can breastfeed as adults, we need to beg them for forgiveness. The dairy industry is the most evil on this planet. Imagine giving birth every year and as soon as it is born it gets taken away so humans get to drink that babys milk. And as soon as you dry up, they impregnante you again, and when your body cannot take the strain of constantly being pregnant anymore, you get sent to the hooror of the slaughter house. The dairy industry is horrific.
Retirement? Paying their dues? Wow...I highly recommend you research how inherently evil the dairy & meat industries are.

Cows should have a pasture or grazing land where they can roam. I'm 51 and when I was a kid I didn't much care for the strong taste of milk. In the intervening years I have come to realize that taste can only come from grass fed cows and I usually can't afford to buy that milk. Now everything is feed lots and "factory farming" and milk is the next best thing to flavorless.
Is it abuse? Those cows literally need us to survive, and in return they get to pass on their genes.

just think how many babies this cow had taken from her. never got to mother them. And the blind one needed like a mother, I think. It's really beautiful, them together. healing for both of them. Animals, all animals, deserve love.
I was thinking the same thing. It is just sad that these beautiful creatures have to endure such loss with their babies taken. How and why it is thought they have no emotion or feelings is beyond me.

While the natural lifespan of many cows can reach 15 or even 20 years of age, the vast majority of dairy cows do not live beyond 4.5 to 6 years. This is typically the age when a female cow's milk production drops, resulting in farms sending her to slaughter. most dairy cows only have 2-4 calves their entire lifetime. how do they get this one at 17 years. there is no way she was a dairy cow for that long. if this cow lasted 17 years giving milk then she lived a great life. its not sad at all.

The world is a better place with people like this couple & all the other folks in GeoBeats videos who give so much of themselves to animals. I cried the whole video and felt such hope that in a world so depraved and chaotic so easy to be selfish...there are pieces of heaven here when kindness, compassion, and love rule over ditching animals (and people!) when they no longer serve someone's purpose or are easy to care for. Margarets life was beyond an imaginable daily horror. Ive always loved and somehow revered cattle since I was a little girl. So relieved she ended up with a magical life with her best friend. Cant stop crying. Repeated suffering of poor defenseless animals is beyond heartbreaking.😢
Agree wholeheartedly. I can't imagine my only existence being forcefully impregnated by a machine, then to have a baby, year after year that I'm torn away from, unable to love and nurture as my biological drive wants to, and then to be hooked up to machines for the rest of my "breeding" years until my purpose ends. Tragic. I either had a nightmare or was imagining what it would be like to be penned up, surrounded by others, perhaps even children, waiting to be slaughtered. I try not to go there, because that's a dark place, but many humans only see certain animals as food sources, or beasts of burden. Animals that aren't domesticated in tiny cages. 😢

I agree with your comment. I don’t eat meat anymore because the animal welfare is cruel and callous way to treat a living creature. It is barbaric to factory farm them for slaughter , it this modern age plenty of alternative protein is out there. I have been in a slaughter house and l can’t tell you how terrified these poor creature are . It is utterly disgusting for humans to do this to them. How would humans feel if they were to be killed for food !!
I wish these animal videos would mention the fact that cows cannot produce milk unless they've recently given birth, just like humans. And those babies are almost always snatched away within a day or two.

It doesn't get better than this. Thank you for not having Helen be alone. Margaret was needing Helen too. They aren't meant to be alone. They are very much like a pack of wolves in that they have a leader, etc. They can recognize up to 50 of their herd and relationships are important to a cow. How wonderful these two little ole ladies are free, retired....Cool ☺️💞
