Надо признать, что их гнутые электроды куда лучше наших. Рутил там или основные, это неважно, судя по видео они тыкают просто в ванну и не заботятся, водят они елочкой или восьмеркой, вперед/назад или с подвыподвертом, но швы как на подбор, без подрезов и раковин, идеальные))) мистика
думается мне, что от температуры на улице (45-50С) зависит, ну и конечно же гнутость электрода влияет сильно на мастерство. (сарказм) А швы реально смотрю и диву даюсь, ни раковинки

Why does everybody insist on pulling these guys down! They do an amazing job with very little. If you were broken down hundreds of miles from anywhere they would get you going. I don’t understand how they work in flip flops and squinty goggles but they do. If you sent them some safety boots and goggles they probably wouldn’t use them. If that job needed doing in the UK first port of call would be the breakers yard for a good s/h unit ( don’t think they have those as they keep thinks going for ever) next it would be pressed apart, turned down metal sprayed then machined back to spec. Pretty much what they did. For this job nearest half mm and a good surface finish is all that’s needed.

The machinist was using a micrometer and I would guess accuracy of at least .05 mm.

@@herbertsattelmeier2941 конкретно в этом случае ничего страшного. Обычная практика. Просто на ремонтных заводах вместо сварки используют напыление металла и вместо шлифмашинки шлифовальный станок.

Nice work. With so few tools a demanding job. I would ask two questions. Why is there no concrete on the floor in any workshop but only earth, and another question is whether the trucks have to go for technical inspections every year to check the technical correctness

Concrete breaks, earth is break proof. No repairs needed on earth as floor. Just spray water in morning, you are good to go. Now there are some fancy garages but they are for cars not road side truck workshops.
Concrete floor is the last thing on their mind😂 they seem happy with earth and sandles

@@peteacher52 i figured that…… i was just saying with the tools they have good enough is the measurement they go for.
And they're probably right. Considering the environment in which the vehicles operate High precision probably isn't that important. Strength probably is important, but I bet cost and getting it fixed quickly is the most important. Also I suspect some of these situations are roadside repairs. If you're in the middle of nowhere and need to get it fixed to deliver your freight you do what you got to do you can always replace the axle or trunnion or whatever that was once you get back to a big city and could order the part. But if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere it's got to get fixed they can't just make a phone call and have the part drop shipped to any location. We certainly have it good in the rest of the western world. But I think we could take some serious lessons from these folks. They work hard and they get a lot of shit done with very little resources. And they use what they have rather than just throwing shit away and replacing it.

What kind of Arc Welding , Is it AC welding or DC welding ? DC Arc welding is best and strong.
As the weld beads were being laid on, I was wondering who would they send it out to and how faraway to get turned down to specs in a lathe. But then there it was……a magnificent lathe sitting there on the dirt floor. Would love to hear the story on that lathe. Way to go guys.

@@mercman786 Looks to well painted to be an old Sheffield lathe. Looks more like a new Indian lathe, these guys make good gear.
@Neal Wright. You're exactly wrong. You use a 4 jaw chuck for precision turning. A 4 jaw can be dialed in. A 3 jaw is like your power drill, the jaws all close together, the concentricity is determined at the factory where the chuck is made, and gets worse with time and wear.

I love the 'SAFETY SANDALS'. Especially for the welders.
Sometimes they are better than shoes - if a drop of molten metal lands on your foot you can just fling it away (and it would happened instantly, believe me), while when a drop of molten (or "just" red-hot) metal burns its way into a shoe, then... You can then jump like mad (and you will), albeit it'll be of no help... Well, I've learned it the hard (or rather "hot") way, and now I'd rather weld barefoot than in sneakers or anything like that. So, sandals, in my opinion, are quite reasonable choice in this situation. Granted, THIS DOES NOT apply to a "proper" welder's shoes, but looking at their "safety equipment" I doubt whether anyone in this shop could actually afford a "proper and certified" shoes suitable for welding. I reckon a pair of such shoes cost more than this guy's monthly paycheck...

I just couldn't figure what you are referring to, or whether you agree with something I said or disagree - and what it was. Now I can see that you basically agree with (and repeat) what I said before - their wages are low, so they make a little money and therefore they don't have enough of them to buy a proper PPE (personal protection equipment - safety goggles, hearing protectors, dust masks, welding helmets and/ or shields, hand gloves, proper boots - suitable, in THIS CASE, for welding jobs. And I still stand by the opinion that welding barefoot is better option than welding in shoes/ boots that would allow pieces of hot metal into them - like this lady's shoes in this video: kzhead.info/sun/atF-irqRbpSnZps/bejne.html . But you don't have to agree with me (hey, it's a free world, innit?) and I'm perfectly OK with you thinking some sneakers or tennis shoes would be a better choice. And that's it, and that's all. PS: I'm not going get involved into any "government running country" and other stuff like that - that is a clearly private business, people work there by their own choice (or "choice"), it's about money and "general prevailing work safety (or lack of thereof) attitude" there, and I'm just not touching this can of worms. While I've been to Pakistan only occasionally and for a short period of time (and that was well over twenty years ago), I did, in fact, spent a great deal of time in India in the '90s, and I can tell with a confidence that the only thing that sets apart "Indian workshop" from "Pakistani workshop" is the style of clothing of the workers and the alphabet(s) they use on their signs - and everything else is just about the same (or "on par", at least). BTW, that "Palang Nar" sounds like Bahasa Indonesia... or is it Tagalog? Cheers.
