Presented in this video is the result of my exploration into the use of AI tools in filmography. The visuals you see were produced using Midjourney and Runway, AI-based tools that are transforming image creation. The script was developed with the assistance of ChatGPT, a leading language prediction model. To cap it off, the voices were synthesized using the technology provided by Eleven Labs. This is a testament to the evolving role of AI in the realm of digital content production.

  • Is this a good film? No. Does this film matter because it was generated with AI? No. Is AI giving everyone an ability to become a film maker? No. Does AI change the way we watch films? No. Can we make new films because of AI? No. Is the aesthetic produced by using AI beautiful? Subjective, but personally NO. I watched Noam Chomsky comment that "AI is just a very complex plagiarism tool". You might feel empowered by this tool, yet ones ability to make a film/art doesn't lay in the produced result, but in the process which takes time and effort, which are fuelled by complex life struggles. We are so much more than intelligence, we are conscious, we are existing, living, constantly changing, shaping, morphing, immanently evolving through our life struggle. Through these tools we only further evolve to become passive, censored, trapped in the perpetual echo of desire. To create art is to articulate life and the world. To imitate art is to copy an artist.

    • You sound like the chodes who think music produced from mixing samples isn't really making music. Gatekeep all you want, your own brain is in the same way, a very complex plagarism tool. If you're inspired by Van Gogh and pursue painting in a post impressionism based style of your own spin, all your "original" works are built off your mental references of the real world and the paintings that inspired you. Explain to me how AI generated content, with prompts and results curated by a person with a consciousness, is any different than a person with a consciousness creating content from external references and inspiration from other content.
