Historically(meaning older versions of Godzilla) burning Godzilla was always on the brink of death. I like to think Mothra's sacrifice actually produced a taming effect on the burning state allowing it to not completely consume godzilla

I like to imagine Mothra is the sole reason Gojira survived his burning mode. Because of her unique healing abilities, she managed to stabilize Gojira's condition. This allowed Godzilla enough control of level of radiation he could release. Without her, Goji wouldve succumbed to the same nuclear meltdown that killed his Heisei counterpart.

I don't know about that, i personally think Godzilla could have managed to release it on his own, probably would massively damage Godzilla or be too much to handle in proper control but Godzilla is capable of releasing energy on it's own like it has done before for example in the comics when it was fighting the MUTO Prime, it performed an atomic pulse. In KOTM Godzilla performed a Thermo nuclear pulse, which was more controlled due to Mothra stabilizing it, but it wouldn't really kill Godzilla i guess.

@@Legendary-2024 for one, we have not detected any form of lifeform that resembles them. If they really were real, they would have come out of hibernation to feed on the radiation present during the aftermath of world war two, if we strictly stick to the depictions of Godzilla at the very least. You could argue that the sea is extremely vast and the majority of it is currently unexplored, but there are land kaiju that would have almost certainly be awakened by all the disruptive activity we humans are causing. Either that, or we would have detected them, since as compared to the seas, the lands are significantly more explored.

If you combine some of the older versions of the series with the latest versions or more likely believe that the latest series is heavily influenced by the older stuff. You can also find that Mothra and Godzilla have kinda a mother and father relationship in the way that they appear to act. It seems like Mothra is willing to do almost anything in the effort to save the lives of humans almost like an over protective mother. The father figure is more what Godzilla resembles in that he will do his best to protect humans but not more in a way that a father would. Mothra seems like she's willing to go out of her way for a chance to save humanity and protect her loved ones and kinda will do anything to try to make them better even if she doesn't survive but Godzilla is much more along the lines of make sure that they survive in some capacity even if not necessarily always fully intact.

It occurs to me that the Gojira Eye-Spots on Mothra's wings can act as a distraction to less intelligent Titans by making them think Gojira is somewhere other than his actual location, allowing Mothra to draw away enemies from the G-Man in combat. I suspect the sound in Godzilla's Nuclear Pulse is meant to activate the next Titanus Mosura Egg, starting the cycle for the next incarnation of Mothra. It would make sense if sacrificing herself is a common tactic for supporting the G-Man and infusing him with energy for the Burning Gojira form is part of her life-cycle, which would explain why she was so driven to die close enough to infuse her energy into the G-Man, meaning every part of their relationship is part of a deeply entwined mutualism. I honestly feel like it would be really cool if we found that the Mosura/Gojira symbiosis ran this deep.
the rebirth cycle is mysterious because there are rare times where we see mothra with eggs, but after Mothra dies, how 'does' she come back? Rebirth Island basically serves as her 'respawn' point but I kinda doubt the island generates an egg on its own. Although at this point I can believe if Mothra's energy that be scattered from an explosion 'can' come back and form an egg and the larvae.... But still. Mothra 'has' to absolutely leave something behind to be able to reincarnate. But the reincarnation system isn't very clear because as soon as she's born she basically heads into a suicidal mission unless its peacetime, and lays one or two eggs. Mothra is very...mystical. Its consciousness, will, and energy can be dissipated and rejoined to form its next incarnation through an egg. The movie shifts and changes a lot of stuff because I believe the egg was found in Asia (china???) and traditionally the egg and birth of mothra always always always happens on Rebirth Island with exception to the larvae in Tokyo SOS.

I've always loved their symbiotic relationship. Not because they've been deemed the King and Queen of the monster verse but because their history from way back when. I even found it more interesting when Godzilla went thermonuclear and the blast was Mothra 💙🧡 do you think because of Mothra's history of reincarnation, she could possibly come back in future films (if any)?? Also I would LOVE to see her come back and see her relationship with humans like from the older films

What's interesting is that mutual symbiotic relationships can extend to other predators, well at least partially mutual. Studies have shown that coyotes and badgers, usually *enemies* , hunt prairie dogs together, with the coyote leading it into the badger's hole. Mothra has always had a special place in my heart. I especially loved her new wasp-like features in KOTM.
The symbiotic relationship is also good for their monitor of the planet. Mothra is much faster than Godzilla and can communicate threats across the planet to him fast. Meanwhile there is very little that can stop him in this universe.

Godzilla and Mothra have a mutual symbiotic relationship which I find amazing and fascinating and they are king and queen of the monsters.
Godzilla and Mothra had a ultimate bond during the events of 2019, so hopefully when Mothra is reborn in the future, we can see how this works perfectly.
At the rate these Monsterverse movies are coming out, I doubt we'll see Mothra again on the big screen.

When I first watched KOTM I realized in the G-mans nuclear pulse Mothra's wing patterns and her cries were in the pulse anyways I love your videos and it gives me a better understanding about what happens in the franchise.
I find the selective mutualism between Godzilla and Mothra quite interesting. Their symbiosis gave a reason for Godzilla and Mothra's survival as if one of the Godzilla species was impregnated by MUTO Prime, then it's up to Mothra's species to sacrifice herself to give lifeforce to a Gojira to admit a thermonuclear pulse to starve the embryos to death, and burn the Prime alive, either scaring her away or die of 3rd-degree burns. Without Mothra's kind, the Gojira species would've become extinct because of the MUTOs.

There isn’t really a Mothra species though. She’s always been shown as essentially being one of a kind, constantly rebirthing herself. I believe this bond is exclusive to this particular Gojira and this Mothra. Also some novelizations suggest that this Gojira is the only one of his kind to have the atomic breath, due to feeding on the energy source from Hallow Earth.

Muto Prime did implant into Dagon's body. Eventually died in the cavern in Southern, Philippines. She did the same to Godzilla. But she failed to implant him. Thanks to Emma's device called the Orca. I knew from seeing some documentaries that moths and butterflies used the patterns on their wings to ward off predators. Also, thanks for shedding some light on that symbiotic relationship. I feel like Kong and Godzilla could develop some sort of symbiosis of their own.

Goji Center I also like to believe that another form of Godzilla and Mothra symbiosis is that Mothra reincarnates through Godzilla. What I mean is that whenever Mothra sacrifices herself and her life force goes into Godzilla I think that after Godzilla uses Mothra’s energy to defeat his opponents he then goes to the location of where Mothra laid her egg and transfers what’s left of her energy from him into the egg. This in turn allow her conscience and memories to be transferred into her next incarnation.
I like to believe that long ago, a tiny Godzilla was in need of help to survive, and it was Mothra who made that possible. Which is why Godzilla accepts her completely.

Oh absolutely, we can see the connection between them several times. Especially when Mothra sacrificed herself for Godzilla and the world, Godzilla was devastated by her loss as indicated by his cry of pain. Plus with how he was visibly angry with Rodan at the end. The strongest evidence of this by far is how the director himself, Michael Dougherty, has confirmed Godzilla and Mothra very clearly have a king and queen relationship.

they are smart enough to have emotional relationship and I am pretty sure that they do when godzilla got beaten up by ghidorah, before mothra got blasted with ghidorah beam, she showed mourning and then rage even goes as far as to act impulsively and fly headfirst at ghidorah in rage leading to her death a simple symbiotic pair of animal wouldn’t really do that pretty sure these two have a close bond with eachother kinda make sense when both of these are smart and emotional creatures that has been with eachother for millions of years it would make sense that they care for eachother
Mothra sacrificing herself for Godzilla to have a fighting chance isn't a show of affection. She simply knew that Godzilla in his critically damaged state could not defend himself or the planet any longer so her sacrifice was completely necessary for Godzilla to have the slightest chance of victory. Godzilla could've cared less about Mothra's sacrifice other than he would also know that it was necessary for the survival of all intelligent life on Earth. His cry of pain is self-explanatory, he was in PAIN, he was dropped from thousands of feet above sea level so any attempt to even move would be extremely painful. I'm not sure what Michael Dougherty meant by the two having a king and queen relationship but my assumption is that he is acknowledging their bond, which has developed through evolution to become a perfect unit in combat and the fact that they can tolerate the existence of each other while keeping other species of titan in check (their symbiotic relationship).

I really loved the concept explained in this video. Now, symbiosis technically means that two animals of different species help each other in different ways. However, ever since Michael Dougherty said in an interview featuring Godzilla that the G - man and the Moth lady have a symbiotic relationship, most people (especially comic artists) didn't even think about what does symbiosis mean. After listening this they thought that Godzilla and Mothra have a love relationship going on and are mates and therefore Godzilla X Mothra ship arts are being created by artists and Godzilla X Mothra tags are spreading across the internet. I mean are you serious ?! Why on Earth do you think that Godzilla and Mothra are mates ?! It sometimes gets infuriating when you see such bullsh*t.

While I believe that Godzilla and Kong are the most powerful titan team, I also think that Godzilla and Mothra are the best titan team.

Idk, i get the feeling Mothra and Godzilla are still more powerful than Kong and Godzilla, Mothra can do a lot more than Kong can and when it comes to battles that involve aerial battles Mothra can cover that spot while Godzilla supports, Kong can't do anything in a aerial fight. Plus when it comes to power ups and abilities, Godzilla and Mothra synergies a lot easier and are way more powerful when they combo attacks.

As far as combo attacks all Godzilla has to do is charge it and boom. Mothra can't do anything when it comes to close range. Here's how i would rank them 1 Godzilla and Kong 2 Godzilla and Mothra 3 Ghidorah and Rodan 4 Muto's
Way i see it, Kong and Godzilla are who you call when you need something to die IMMEDIATELY, Mothra and Godzilla is more akin to a long drawn out fight, where Godzilla will need support in a way that Kong can't achieve.

Jokes aside, the novelizations of GvK I believe (I just read the wiki rundown and not the actual books). Show Godzilla’s perception of the earth and the other titans to be dramatically increased due to Mothra’s essence. Giving him a kind of sixth sense that allows his to sense things across the entire globe. She also affects his personality somewhat and its said that her essence is what keeps him from flat out killing Kong in the first round. There is an increased sense of value of life.
