The 400 introduced the winglets and a glass digital cockpit - also got rid of flight engineer with the 400. The 00 got the elongated upper deck from the 300 - the winglets were introduced n the 400.

LOL there is NOTHING common between the 747/A380. The A380 technology and redundancy is literally generations ahead.
