It never ceases to fascinate me how large animals are so aware the frailty of smaller animals and babies and children. And they are so gentle with them.
Literally my lab. She’s just over 90lbs and our little terrier always tries to mess with her and bully her. Yet my lab never really retaliates because she’s literally the sweetest most gentle dog I’ve ever had. I know she can fight back to cause I’ve seen her catch multiple small animals/rodents around our house. Smart animals fs

I feel kinda bad for both of them. The dog just wants to relax in his bed, and the kitten doesn't understand what it's doing wrong. That being said, this video made me burst out laughing multiple times, especially towards the end. Thank you so much for sharing!

I love how no matter how frustrated he gets he actively avoids doing anything that would hurt the kitten because he knows it's just a baby.
True and behavior like that needs to be rewarded IMO it’s a matter of trust for the dog. They know there’s boundaries they shouldn’t cross. in this case the dog knew he shouldn’t fling the cat straight off even though he could and probably wanted to. But was also trusting that the owners would officiate the situation in a way that allows the dog to know he’s not getting pushed to the bottom of the totem pole.

This is so cute. I also admire the Golden Retriever's attempts to reclaim his bed. He really did try to get the kitten to move, but everything he did was also done in a way as to not injure the kitten. The awareness of how small and potentially fragile the kitten was shows how smart dogs are.

@@seane5772 it wasn't that it was too small for both of them but rather it wouldn't hold the wait of 2 adults. It would dip too far down in the water making it pretty much useless. There was a video explaining the science behind it but I can't remember which channel it was.
