A couple minor things you missed: the case on the KO (knockoff) has blue lights, whereas the lights on the real case only go from green to yellow to red based on charge level. Also, as someone else pointed out, the KO has lights on the Buds themselves...the real deal has no such nonsense.

The KO also has a matte finish case but all the real ones have a glossy finish

I think mine are fake but they are exactly like mine but no features on wearable although I'm not sure yet because my real buds wouldn't either until a month
On the bronze colored ones the speaker piece didn't line up right. The real white ones if you look at the speaker on them they line up perfectly.
Well, I bought mine through the respected online store and discovered they were fake only when tried to connect to Samsung Wearable app. My phone didn't see the buds. In general, the copy I've got was finely made, you hardly could guess it wasn't an original one. Sad to loose money especially when living in Ukraine (((
I've got fakes too. The wearable app wouldn't connect on my S7 tab and I blamed it on the tablet! Grrrrrrrrrrrr

I lost my left ear bud can u make a video with the fake right one paired in the orginal case and let the people know if it would still pair and sync? Replacement is 100 for One ear bud thats like 5 pairs of fake ones lol😊

Thank you for doing this video because I got a pair for $199 on Christmas I wasn't sure about the real vs fake galaxy buds pro I got the real ones but I got fake ones from Walmart I'm glad I got the real deal earbuds because you never know what your buying these especially high quality earbuds I feel like I'm glad I didn't get the fake one I paid $199 for mine

You got so ripped off I got real ones on Amazon returned because of a bad hinge for $70 brand new ones were $90
I bought a pair of WISH for $30 which were rated %90 brand new. The problem I had is figuring out how they fit in your ears. The main speaker goes at the bottom where your ear canal is and the other two speakers go up towards the top of your ear.
I had no idea this was a problem. Good to know. All ours are legit tho but now I'm more cautious.
I never understood which ones were real and which ones were fake....

I'm pretty certain both boxes are authentic. My live box is the same as the product your saying is fake yet my lives connect seamlessly and works on the wearable app too. Maybe check which country the product is from? As mine say UK (thats where im from). Maybe you have 2 products from different countries hence why the boxes may slightly differ.
At the beginning I did pickup the real one said the box is fake, but the real is the white buds.

I've seen a good way to spot a fake. Check the serial no. Vs. what's on the box. Eg. My serial no. Was for a white pair. SM-R180NZWAXAC but the box display black. So if your buying bear that as first point to look for. If that all matches. And it's sealed. Connect it up to the app. The app gives a picture of your "product " if that's wrong and things are greyed and won't connect. You got a fake.
What about the quality? Are they the same or there is a big diffrent?

That's weird, I got mine from Amazon and it's with the Fake one box that has no Samsung writings on the back but it does everything the real one does. It has an issue if anyone would help me solve I would be very thankful.

Why is there no equalizer on my Wearable App? No touch control settings too.
You bought a fake, equalizer is on earbuds settings on the app. All these features are disable when you buy a fake live buds.
@@thaigers No, the buds work fine with the app. My Wearable app has a different interface. Instead of the knob thing, it's just a list for equalizer.

Both sound similar but the the Samsung bud has a more richer bass. I'm not sure where exactly it was made, but from what I reading a lot of fake Samsung product are coming from Vietnam.
@@thaigers Thanks, I have the real ones and for that kind of outside the ear canal design the bass will never be the best though I do enjoy other aspects of them. Was wondering whether they came from a legit site (Amazon, AliExpress, etc.) being passed off as real or some other website/real life market etc.

I just got mine the fake one. But its super copy and the sound quality is mind blowing and the noise canceling work fine(cannot even hearing people speak at 40% volume of music play). Almost 98% like the real one (the light indicator was blue and red)(the real one light indicator was, green, yellow and red).

Hi! how long does it take to charge the fake once and how long do they play?

I have similar fakes and it always shows red when charging. It doesn't tell you when fully charged so it's super annoying as you can't link them to your phone and when linked by bluetooth it just says 100% or 60%.
Can u do a similar testing on connecting to iPhone..How does both react with iphone and IOS version of Samsung bud app pls?

The sound quality is pretty decent on my fakes, they just seem uncomfortable to wear and you have no idea when fully charged or not as only has blue or red lights. Blue means on, red means charging I think but not 100 % but the fact there is no green or amber is the thing which stuck out for me.

But then you switched to the left one as fake pointing out the label doesn't say 2020 Samsung electronics which mine didn't. The noise cancellation on the clone is not bad, after testing you can hear background just a little bit louder not much. But on the real live buds, you have an option of turning noise cancellation off.
Maybe its not fake...samsung products differ by region and operate and even look slightly diffrent. I meen why would wireless charging be on a fake earbud...? Maybe the buds does not work with your reigons app because its diffrent..
You wrong, I bought one from another country, a real one and it works with the app. Trust me there are fakes.

So, you buy the fake ones, then go to Walmart and get the real ones, put the fake case and buds in the real package, and return them, while keeping the real ones. You could even go as far as our purchasing the buds pro and placing the fake lives in the box and returning them, since the case is identical and the majority of people working the return register, just glance inside to make sure the product is in their. They would never notice the difference, unless they are completely familiar with the buds live and pros.
I literally just bought mine from Walmart and they are fake. I knew they were as soon as I opened the package and felt how light they are in comparison with the real ones that I already had…

I dont think they are fakes. I bought mine from amazon and they are real but in some comments i was reading the samsung makes a U.S version and a international version. And they said that international version wont let you use the features on the wearable app. Only U.S version does. I dont know if thats true or not just what i read.
It's fake because you can tell by the sound quality. Also the fakes are much cheaper, sellers get them for 10 each, the real are about 200.

@@thaigers nonon, you didn't confused me. That makes me confused is that my box is fake because at the back of my box there is no Samsung Electronics or Samsung Terms of Condition. When I use it. I connect my buds with bluetooth then i try to pair to Galaxy Wearable and when its paired, I can use the features there without any problem, find my buds works, equilizer works. So thats how I got confused, maybe mine is half fake half real lol btw great video, definitely I can share this to my family who is planning to buy the Samsung Buds Live edit: bad english, hope you still can understand hehe
@@treebugg I got the same box as well. I think that's nothing wrong with the box itself, maybe different country have different box? I don't know. Mine box seem to be "fake" but my buds is working fine, able to connect to wearable app as well.
