Can Korra defeat Aang?!

Aang’s fighting style is dodge and weave, playing defensive. He is built to handle Korra’s blunt force style. Air and fire goes to Aang, and water and earth goes to Korra. However Aang’s avatar state is way more powerful than Korra, being able to fly,while Korra is only able to lift off using fire bending. Both are strong in their own rights, however, as Aang’s bending is traditional and Korra’s more fast paced.

For me, at this point, I'm actually just looking forward to the next Earth Avatar (if the creators decide to continue it).

I'll put it simply Aang was born in a time where war was everywhere as 12 to having the entire world on his back he makes Korra look dumb in every way maybe not dumb but obsolete in comparison like litterally aang has tooken out armies on armies of fire benders

Aang also wins because he mastered all the elements within a year and took down the entire fire nation and war with a few kids and has won many battles

I agree with everything except for the avatar state because when Korra goes to the avatar state she can control it and all the past avatar bending skills is there including Aang

You argue like that average ATLA fanboy in KZhead comments. The creators confirmed that Korra is stronger than Aang. Aang did only master air. His teachers were quite explicit in the fact that he did not master the other elements. Korra has mastered all elements by the end of LoK and she mastered traditional and modern style bending which she mixes up. The White Lotus trained her in traditional style bending. Learning from the dragons does not make you stronger. Zuko and Aang learned from dragons and Ozai did not. Ozai is very clearly still the better firebender in both skill and power. Seismic sense does not make Aang a better fighter, especially since he has barely used it in fights. Metalbending is on the other hand a clear advantage in combat and Korra has shown to actually use it a lot. And again, Korra is concidered an earthbending master, Aang not. Air is definitively better in Aang, but arguing with the combustion feat is a bad argument because it is dwarved by Korra's explosive barrel feat. Hence why it is important to judge their skills holistically. Aang generally fought weaker opponents than Korra. He only was stronger than Ozai in the avatar state and avatar state is not Aang's power but the power of Raava and all the avatars. Aang lost to Azula multiple times and fought Zuko to a draw. Both of the siblings are clearly weaker than Korra. Aang never fought a chi-blocker. He had no fight with Ty Lee. Korra on the other hand defeated a whole squat of equalists in the canon game without any bending. Which also demonstrates Korra's superb hand to hand combat. Also though Aang is more evasive, Korra is still one of the most evasive fighters in the verse. On top of being one of the most powerful, most skilled and most well-rounded. Also, that fight with Kuvira was when Korra was sick.
