  • Lmao @ the parents saying 'OMG, how could this happen' when they put their kids in a sport where you literally try to punch and kick your opponent until they're unconscious. Are they really too stupid to understand that this kind of thing might happen? Oh wait, don't answer that...

  • What did those adults expect from a combat 'sport' in which those kids are trying to attack each other, were they 'surprised' by the violence in that kick to the head ??? Hello !!! They got exactly what they were waiting for and then go and react as if they were surprised ??? Hypocrites !!! I once heard a mother calling 'beautiful' a Tae Kwon Do tournament in which her son was participating, sure, I suppose her son was not KOd the way the kid in the video was.

    • I study Shotokan karate. Until a certain level (which I haven't reached yet; I'm only in green belt), we don't do strikes to the head. If we do, we stop short of actually hitting the other person there, for safety, because we also don't wear protective headgear. Control is important; otherwise you could really hurt someone. Before we moved online because of COVID, I was able to stop a punch about an inch short of my training partner's face. I don't think I could anymore, because I'm out of practice, but if we take those precautions in an adult class, then you can see why people would object to kids kicking each other in the head full-out.

    @lorihuff7511@lorihuff75113 жыл бұрын
    • He might not be older. In my family we look at least by height 4 to 5 years older. My son was 6’’2 in middle school. We had to always have his I’d and his birth certificate with us at all times especially when he played sports. In elementary school he was at least 7 inches taller than his classmates. And when it comes to age groups it’s age group of 7 to 9 year olds.

      @twoplustwo07@twoplustwo073 жыл бұрын
    • @@twoplustwo07 I’m interested height than born certificate. Your son will go 14-17 years old group - equal height. If he stay in his age then could hit child face when he do back kick and or back axe by accident. It could be serious injury.

But when he saw the concerned look in adult’s eyes, decided “I’m just gonna stay down here and make this look like a much bigger deal so I don’t need to fight the rest of today’s match...” 😅 All kidding aside, you see him raising his arm etc even while the adults are checking him out. The other kid didn’t kick with full power. It was visibly held back, vs what TKD students typically do on pad-kicking drills.
