Milo's riding seems so effortless. The way he picks up speed is amazing. Dad is having to push harder just to keep up.
I agree, it must be all the time on the pumptrack and the hardtail, he's great at pumping, finding good lines, and staying smooth, it's really good to see!
Trey here from Race Cascadia, great video as always, and super impressive Milo took the win riding two of three stages blind. This should also be mandatory watching for all parents riding with their kids at our events. It was the perfect amount of support and encouragement.
What's up Trey! Glad you enjoyed the video, I was hoping to do your event justice, you guys are crushing it. That was an amazing event, we would love to race the whole series if we could! Feel free to share the video if you want, I always try to encourage people to just let the kids ride their race and be there in a support role, they don't need someone to tell them to go faster or try harder, it's all about having fun!

That moment when your riding with your kid(s) and you ACTUALLY get a chance to sit back and SEE their progression is such an amazing sense of "it all paid off". I'm a 15 yr old girl going into my first Enduro race this weekend. Watching these videos makes me excited knowing I'm never going to be alone in the world, as people have to start somewhere, at any age. I come from a family of cross country racing, and my sister raced at a national level, but I was always better at the downhill/tech, so I told my dad I would commit to Enduro racing, he said I had to prove to him I would devote myself to it, so I practiced downhill and Enduro courses everyday near my house and included practicing jumps, trakcstand, etc, and he got me a bike and armour for my birthday. I am so excited for my race, and Goodluck to your son! My father used to be faster than me, but now he can't keep up! Soon, it will be the same, as another comment said 😎
That is so cool to hear, you are gonna have so much fun!!! Enduro is a really good environment, I'm sure every race is different but all the enduro's I've done were very welcoming and people rode together throughout the day. It's great talking to other riders on the climbs and before/after stages too. Milo also races XC but he REALLY loves the DH and Enduro stuff, he's begging to do a DH race next year! That's awesome you're going faster than your dad too, I wonder if Milo will beat me by the time he's 15?? Good luck this weekend!!

That was so cool guys! Congrats Milo, it's been great to see you guys growing up and progressing. I love riding with my son too. He is starting to outpace me now. LOL! We just got up to Galbraith this summer and love those trails. Didn't recognize that last trail though. Looks tons of fun!
The last trail is called Dad Bod, it was definitely our favorite, like a super rough physical pumptrack, not an easy trail but really fun. That's awesome you're riding with your son too, they get good quick when you put the time in!

Trails look super fun and Milo read them well, congrats on the win. Despite this not being the usual way it goes, running it basically blind, I think that it's a format that needs to be encouraged, really does help those with pure skill shine. Can't wait until Owen's old enough to enter some of these, I'm betting that unlike with Milo, you'll still be a bit worried about what he'll do once he's "on the clock" 😆
The trails were super fun, and I agree on blind racing, I absolutely love the first time down a trail seeing how fast I can go and hold it together, would be fun do race something like that. Haha Owen is definitely a little more loose, you might be right!
I've also found that 12 years is the right age to let them take the next step into independence - you soon find out if you've done a good job! Thank you for a great video - I'll be sharing this with my son tonight :)

I am also enduro racer and compete in sm (finnish champion) i would want to compete in world champion when i grow up. Also when i watched Milo drive i was like dang he is better than me and i have to got to catch up. Nevermind i hope i will see you at world cup Milo. Cheers
