However, outlets in areas such as washrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens that require GFCI protection against electrocution, as well as those for air conditioners, do have earth connectors. Therefore, we can use these grounds or leave the earth plug disconnected:(

  • The first time I got to play with our shop o-scope was in 1991 I took it home and hooked it up to the output of several Music Synthesizers I owned. what is a Synthesizer? You know; Kraftwerk, Depech Mode, Men without hats... Now that was FUN!

  • 8:33 The "maximum frequency" of the scope and the probe is actually the bandwidth, it marks the -3 dB point. So at this frequency, the scope would show 71% of the actual voltage, which I wouldn't call an accurate measurement. (But since it's a linear system, the shape of the signal does stay accurate at higher frequencies.)

Keep it up, i have been watching for a few years by now and i think its fair to say that you know what you are doing and im happy about people like you existing and sharing their knowledge. Greetings from Germany Best regards: Moritz.
