Photodocumentary of Irene of Bridgwater being refitted in the river Linher in winter 2023/2024. The boat goes up and down every day twice with the tide, floating in high water and aground in low water.

I now live in Australia but in my youth used to spend my weekends on J.N.R. also a west country trading ketch. It was the home for a friend of my Mother's when she was a child. I would love to find out what happend to her as I am very sure my friend would be well passed by now. She, JNR was seventy tons and seventy foot loa.
Great to see Iris Mary CK105 in there as well, she's a favourite of mine. Hope she and Irene are both well!
They are! Both with exaiting futures ahead
Good to see her again. Takes me back a few years. Launched in 1907 if she is who I think she is. Did not have the 'of Bridgewater' suffix when I knew her. Heard she had been almost wrecked in Honduras but seems now back in loving care once more.
She is the one. She was rebuilt after the fire in the Caribbean and is back sailing in good shape
Hope she will soon be at sea again, exploring the Devon and Cornwall coasts. I saw Irene at Brixham when I was crewing on Leader.
This season she will be sailing with Turn to starboard doing trips out of Falmouth.
Please take care of her. She is a beauty 😍 With horror i noticed she is bleeding rust through the hull planks.
I sailed her to the Scilly Isles a few years ago. She is looking a bit sad in this video, I hope she returns to the open water soon.
She have been now over a year in the mud berth. She will be soon sailing again looking fantastic as always.
