Let me take you along to Copenhagen Airport (EKCH) located in Denmark, Scandinavia. The super green and happy, bike friendly city Copenhagen is a must-visit when travelling to Europe. And did I mention Legoland? A cockpit view approach and landing in a Boeing 737-800 on runway 22L in Copenhagen airport Kastrup, the largest airport in Scandinavia and Nordic countries. The video shows what it's like to fly a Standard Terminal Arrival Route/Standard Arrival Route (STAR) with lots of clouds, low visibility/low ceiling in a Boeing 737 800 into Denmark. What do you think of the new Bose A30? Interesting facts, approach landing charts and actual call-outs and Boeing procedures were added to provide a sense of everything that is going on inside the cockpit during approach, landing and taxi. Would you also like to see other landings or takeoffs from Funchal, or landings into Rovaniemi, Samos, Innsbruck, Are Oresund or Salem? Let me know what you think guys!

I recently asked my Patrons if I should start a second KZhead channel for educational videos I used to create...everything about flight schools, finances, the profession itself, gear like the Bose A30 etc. What do you think? Hope you liked the video! Have a great weekend! - Thanks to NordVPN for partnering with me on this video - nordvpn.com/dpg
Absolutely go for it and every success with it
🤔 Well for everything aviation related you have this channel of yours. Not every video has to be about approaching to a destination (which is awesome by the way). On this same channel you can for example upload other aviation related videos. Stay safe, Michelle, the most beautifull aviator😘🥀🛩
Yes! 🙏❤️
@@oliverpetroski4205 Unfortunately the KZhead algorithm doesn't agree haha
@@DutchPilotGirl go for it and every success with it, why not this channel has been a success all the other channels are male pilots, so it would be interesting to get the ladies perspective on how its done, and of course we all agree , the boys on the other channels aren't nearly as pretty, sorry @captainjoe @mentourpilot 😂😂😂😂
Always impressed to see how accurately aircraft can be flown without seeing the ground considering the speed. Just pop out of the clouds at just above minimums and touch down on a perfect glideslope to the landing zone. A thing of beauty. Thank you as always. 👍
I think the new planes can actually land themselves, they already autobrake. I'd rather a human do it because computers can't deal with unexpected situations the way a trained pilot can.
@@crypto1701 Totally. By profession I'm in IT. Let automation do it overlooks the steady stream of code patching. Anyone r emember MCAS? That was software.
@@JimMork I was reading today that it's a myth that a civilian without training can land a plane.. based on a study group of 4. 🙄 They say that people won't even understand the communication system but it should already be tuned to the correct frequency to reach SOMEONE, so you just have to find the push to talk button. The MCAS will include final approach and landing already programmed by the pilot so you just have to wait until it takes you there.. and maybe turn the parking brake to keep from going off the end of the runway. There are videos out there of them testing fully automated landings to keep them certified.
@@crypto1701 Doing it right can seem incredibly complicated. All these different radio frequencies, the division of labor in the control tower. I assume it got this way due simply to the workload and the buzzing of all those different planes coming, going, taxiing. Why there has to be a "pilot flying" and a "pilot monitoring".Definitely the pilots shouldn't show up sick or with health defects like a pacemaker. And the notion that AI is ANYWHERE close to providing for all the variables. That makes me think of MCAS and "oh the pilots won't need any flight simulator". Which resulted in hundreds of fatalities. Plus the argument "it would cost too much to pay all the pilots to learn new software". I anticipate the chorus of defenders that the crashes are marginal. So are the crashes on the highway. Everything is an "exception". OK, fine. Let's never let air trips be boring without that little "what if" edge.
@@JimMork Pilots are always going to be important because the computer can't account for every variable. The SpaceX Dragon is fully automated but someone still has to know how to take over in case of trouble. It will probably be another 10 years before fully automated cars arrive.. planes will be WAY after that.
The approach had my heart rate elevated. But your landing, as usual, was smooth as silk. Thanks Michelle.
Haha you're welcome!
@@DutchPilotGirl I practice these constantly now in the 7478i. Nice quality 4K footage and smooth landing!
Relax, It's a simulator
@@JasonGeoffrey No it's NOT!!!
@@CockpitScenes How would you know? It is definately a simulator, just ask her! I have deveral times but she won't answer. If you believe that's real you need to do a bit more looking around. There are many clues that give it away if you can see them. And why would you be so keen to say its not a simulator, you have no way of proving otherwise because it is definately a sim for sure. Seems a bit sus you are so defensive about somene elses video haha.
Howard Hughes brought me to the love of Aviation when I was young
I can't hear the applause for this brilliant landing in these tricky conditions.
That landing would have freaked me out! It's nice having a well trained, experienced, and professional pilot like you in control. When I fly in the passenger cabin I am not at all concerned about what is happening outside my window. I leave it up to fine people who are in control of the aircraft. Great video!
It's a simulator dude
I booked a flight from Phoenix Az, USA, to Denver Colorado USA during the winter. When I got on the plane in Phx, it was about 80 degrees. I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt. I wouldn't doubt if I was traveling all out sunshine bum wearing sneakers with no socks. I had winter clothes in my luggage. We landed in a total white out snowstorm. I was thinking to myself, this is going to be interesting. It was! Couldn't see the runway until we were a second or two from landing.
Michelle, Another great video!!! I was on a SAS flight from EWR to Copenhagen, last month on my way to Greece. On my return had a half day layover in Stockholm, which I had a chance to see a little of the city. Will make it a point to return to both cities, which are rich in history. Always enjoy your videos.!!!
Thanks Julius!
I always admire to watch your approaches but that one was exceptional.
I love watching your videos on landing and takeoffs. It is like I am flying around the world with you ❤😊
@DuchPil0tgiirl HI Michelle is this your phone number?
Fabulous job, in spite of such poor visibility! Looks like you aligned with the runway perfectly with the instruments--as soon as it became visible you were dead-on centered on it. A very smooth landing too! Love it all!
precise and smooth landing. I wish we could hear cockpit voice and communications with tower. Excellent work as always thanks Michelle
I never realized just how much trust pilots have to put into the ILS and radioaltimeter. Watching you approach the minimums was a real nail biter.
I learned to fly on instruments years ago. You have to believe your instruments, not your body sensations. I once glanced outside the cockpit while in the clouds and when I looked back inside I felt that I was leaning sharply to the left. But the instruments said I wasn't -- and that feeling quickly went away.
Once you are in the sky, you can't remain and instruments need to save you. I wouldn't have those nerves.
I always have that sensation like I'm levitating when watching stuff like this one 😊😊😊 Thanks madam Michelle ❤❤❤
Great video as always Michelle. The trust in the instruments is amazing, but I really enjoyed the way you were looking for the runway, sort of saying “well it must round here somewhere”
Thanks for your kind words!
Well you can always recognize Copenhagen on the "nice" weather. I work very close to the runway, and drives on the road you see just before the airfield, every day..
I would love to fly in the cockpit of an aircraft in weather like this, awesome respect to all pilots out there and to the technology that helps you. Fantastic video 👍
Thanks Steven!
@@DutchPilotGirl and thank you, so enjoy your videos.
Hi Michelle, it is always a pleasure flying w/ you. When I am ¨piloting¨ my Camry around town I wish my fellow motorists drove their vehicles w/ same skill that you ¨drive¨ that 737!✈
Hii Michelle! ♥ These 2 week video uploading frequency is kinda cool! You nailed it, what a buttery landing despite the condition just goes on to show how magnificent your expertise are! 👏The weather played a spoilsport otherwise what would have been such a scenic approach! So foggy with low visibility, I wonder when was this shot! First of its kind, wanna watch more of these!
Thanks Sonu! The video was shot about 2 months ago :)
Copenhagen is a great destination to visit! Beautiful approach and landing Michelle!!
Excellent. You pre-posted an exciting Vlog forthcoming & Michelle you delivered. Wow, just before 210 - landing visibility. Exciting, real world & informative
As the James Blunt song says: "You're Beautiful"... ☺
Ahhh Yes, my home town for the first 24 years of my life. Now I enjoy the planes from further south...but still in Denmark. Exellent video. Thumbs up!
@DuchPil0tgiirl I have no idea what that means...If anything🤣. Having family in Holland, i'm pretty sure it's not dutch🙂
Nicely done FO Michelle you greased that landing you could barely tell when it touched down. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. This approach and landing were executed with such precision and it was awesome to watch thank you for these videos showing your awesome career thanks for bringing us viewers along with you. 😊 ✈️ ✈️ ✈️ 😊 safe flights to you always 😊
I totally love this channel. Makes one want to travel to exotic places! Beautiful views (and... the outside views are pretty as well-LOL). Thank you DPG, keep up the wonderful content!
Thank you for your kind words!
#1.8k👍😀🎉The first time we went to Copenhagen was in 1972. We flew from SEA on an SAS DC-8 nonstop over the polar route. I miss flying single pilot IFR at night in the snow! It really is something to see the lights on when breaking out at decission height + 100 ft in a brand new Cessna 182 Skylane! That was in 1977- 78🎉 ERAU 80 CFIA&I ret.
Really awesome video Michelle. Thank you so much for the informative videos.❤
Another good video, great layout and graphics, and nice to see an ILS approach! One of the few airlines to purchase the 737 with a tiller on both sides, but I like it. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Rick, glad to hear you like the video!
Beautiful landing by a beautiful lady. Looking forward to the next one. All the best. Mick🇬🇧
Trust your instruments.. an awesome landing as usual✈️👍👋
Eyesight is best, instruments are a failsafe
My queen making another flawless butter landing 🔥❤️

@Jason Geoffrey 🤡
I'm an ex-squaddie trained to the Nth degree in combat stress I was so hugging your righthand seat back, Thank you for sharing that which you do
Great video Michelle, my heart was racing when you were at 500 feet with no runway in sight, have great respect for your professional pilot skills and was wondering if your ever in the captain's seat instead of the first officers seat. Love your content! ✈️
Michelle, you are an incredible pilot! You were center line all the way and nailed it. I’ve noticed in many of your videos that the countdown from 50 to 10 it goes pretty quickly but when it hits 10 you hold it two beats longer for the smoothest touchdowns in the profession! 😊
That was about the smoothest landing I've ever seen. 👍👍
Thank you Michelle, another Excellent video! 🌹 Either a very scary landing when you cannot see, or the greatest thrill ride of your life, once you finally see those landing lights and your heart stops racing.
Michelle, that was absolutely outstanding situational awareness and professional flying! You surely greased that landing as well! 🙌 As a former FA I would gladly fly in your crew with any day! 😁
Thanks for your kind words!
@@DutchPilotGirl you're quite welcome!!
I thought it was "stuck'" the landing.
How come we never see the Male pilot who is in the left seat of the aircraft? Another selfish showing of only the woman
@@ronaldmessina4229 Is he edited out by the individual creating the video? I hope he's happily married. I'd hate to be a single guy "stuck" with her for hours. Ya gotta keep professional, but she's .... who she is.
As you're approaching and getting closer to minimums I was starting to think you'd have to hit the TOGO switch cause I still wasn't seeing lights, and then all of a sudden I saw the runway! Excellent landing Michelle!
Thank you for the great content Michelle 💫 You are Highly Skilled and Graceful 🩵
Beautiful landing, smooth as silk! Thanks
Bravo. Congratulation for your professionalism. I find these videos very exciting. Thanks.
I used to go to heavy check with my ex-father-in-law. He did sheet/skin aluminum until carpal tunnel got him. I also did some hi-altitude flame out upgrades with my buddy. My neighbor is still airport firefighter. Dang I’ve seen stuff in my short 65 years on this orb. 😎👍🏻🙏🏻
Love these videos. I love to see what's going on in the cockpit during all those approaches and landings. And as much as I enjoy the scenery from your other videos, this low-ceiling one is just as fascinating!
Nail biting .... but then it was you ..I felt better,. Amazing Skills and Beauty to match!
That was intense and really a combination of excellent pilot skills and also trusting the technology. Such a smooth landing and the approach was spot on.
I just flew that route from AMS => CPH a week ago and watching it from this angle is super interesting! Thank you!
Flying is magical, even more so in limited visibility. One can feel the excitement building when you are approaching minimums and the runway is not yet in sight. The technology is amazing. I just love it!
That was quite a approach I thought for a minute you might have had to go around it was good the runway came into view as always a great video thank you Michelle .
With that kind of cloud you could have just as easily been landing here in Shannon airport, west of Ireland, weather certainly seems similar, couldn't believe how much noise landing gear creates, great video as always Michelle
Yeah or in Amsterdam haha so used to this kind of weather... Next video will feature a sunny destination!
@@DutchPilotGirl i hope you get less rain than we do here! , Stay safe Michelle, happy flying
you gotta love the danhis weather a sail in a 2 pers child to adult boat its fun in the danhis weater
THANKs .. I love the explainings you did in the videos. And HOW you let them appear and disappear. 😊
Thank you for your support of the channel Helmut! Really appreciate it! 💎
That fog was thick! Great landing!
Nervy to not see the runway till the last moment. Great vid.
Nice landing in a rainy Denmark. In the beginning of the 2000’s, I flew to SKG via CPH. The windshear was absolutely crazy that summer day on CPH. I could almost see the runway in front of me, as I sat on the right side of the play (window seat). Then came the sideways touchdown and the cloud of burnt rubber instantly hit us with its “fragrance” inside the aircraft. But it all went smooth as soon all three gears gripped the tarmac. That was the scariest landing I ever experienced. So far… After many beers, I jumped on a MD83 with Olympics Airways for SKG. That was the loudest flight ever! Yes, at the plane’s rear I had my seat.
Flying onto the tarmac the runway coming out of the clouds that's beautiful you are a great Dutch pilot, Very much enjoy watching you fly, landing, taking off Amazing to watch the landing the footage to touch down...Mike
Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. Salty, Old Queen of the Seas... Two cities I need to see in Europe; that and Amsterdam. Pretty close to minimums on that approach. Thank God for a good ALS.
Great landing, greased it. Amazing graphics to explain the landing procedure as always. Thanks.
AWESOME !! great video and what a landing to see those lights just appear in the mist. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
Not seeing the runway until so late must be scary, great video. Cheers Michael
Simply extraordinary Michelle. Professionalism at the highest level. This is truly your finest approach and landing video ever. God Speed. Always Faithful, Always Forward. Aaron Beaulieu
Thanks Aaron!
Thanks for the show,
You're welcome!
Your eyesight is MUCH better than mine. When the two of you called out contact, I still could not see the lights. It wasn't until a moment or two before the the "Minimums" call that I saw the light. Thank you for sharing, this was fun!
What a fantastic landing!!! It's a very authentic show taken from pilots cabin . 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Amazing landing! So smooth!
Those clouds were right on the deck. I love watching your videos.
👏 Awesome landing, that touchdown is just perfect🛬 Foggy/cloudy-rainy weather can be tricky but you handled it just perfectly❤ Nice video on this rainy saturday😊 Safe flights, gorgeous Michelle🥀😘
Thanks Oliver!
@@DutchPilotGirl Always a pleasure, beautiful lady Michelle❤😘🌹
Please do another video on Copenhagen, when the weather is good. It is magic to land in Copenhagen when the weather is good.
Going to Copenhagen in a few weeks - hope the weather is a bit better than that!
Excellent example of ILS approach, why, when and how it's work. Great safe and soft manual lending. Education videos, yes Michelle, you are very good in education, do it. Missing video with you on beach.😍 Have a great week end.
Thanks Dejan!
Wow you really couldn’t see much until you were nearly down never seen it from that view before great video (as usual) I bet it’s a bit unnerving even for someone with your experience keep em coming look forward to the next one 👍xx
Excellent Flight as Always!!! Thank you !!
Yes it will be kind of you Michelle starting an aviation school and teaching the young people how to fly by your second KZhead video. I wanted to be an airline pilot Michelle, but unfortunately I couldn't achieve my dreams as I'm suffering from nervous breakdown. In fact I love supporting female pilots like you Michelle. Excellent BOENG 737 landing of you Michelle at Copenhagen airport
Wow amazing. I have a huge respect for what you do. Having to land a plane together with keeping your passengers safe through all that desevers kudos for a job well done
What an occupation! An amazing accomplishment to fly at a young age! Beautiful.
Idea for future videos: You could record the data of an accelerometer of your smartphone during the flight and visualize it, so vibrations and turbulences are visible in the video. I've never seen that before in videos but it might be a really nice effect.
Thank you miss! Once again a great video. I liked the destination tips!
Glad to hear that!
Another perfect landing, you make it look oh so easy all the time!
Dang babe you've got nerves of steel. Alt 500..descent 10 fps...still in the cloud with no runway in sight. And you handled that huge aluminum tube like a boss. You are nothing short of freaking awesome. I hope to one day fly with you as my P.I.C.
instruments sure did help there awesome landing
Definitely!
wow!! You definately have the "Nerves of Steel", flying in that particular condition. For me i would call this...white knuckles approach thru clouds to runway. Great job! Your landing spot on smooth as usual.
This was mind blowing... at 500 feet all i could see was cloud and it terrified me... super stuff. Keep posting 😊
This is great always love your videos and see things from your point a view
10:31 well done, great landing in fog!
My home airport, yay. The 22L approach is, and will always be my favourite.
Can you say BLIND LANDING ..OMG😲😲😲 Awesome job Michelle and Pilot🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Best and most concisely explained flying video I’ve ever seen. Really well done.
OPG totally fascinating landing down through the fog. You are concentrating hard. Thank you For taking us along. You got all these extra notes down too.I really learned; . Really good job.Special views.
Low ceiling = In Instruments We Trust. And get some bread, that landing was as smooth as butter!
Very interesting perspective. I admit that the way everything vanished once the plane entered the clouds was slightly disconcerting.
Nice. Exciting that low ceiling. ✊
