Hot Wheels Backyard Mega Track with Fence Ride (Boosted)
Over 30 boosters launch YOU down 2,000ft of track across land, sky, and underwater making this one of the largest Hot Wheels tracks ever built! This mega track took 4 months to construct using a variety of materials including wood, ladders, inflatable pools, PVC tubing, blocks, plastic container tubs, cardboard boxes, pool noodles, and numerous Hot Wheels products. A lot of troubleshooting and backyard engineering took place to make this track work. The body of the GoPro car did not initially fit through the boosters and all the 90 degree turns we purchased were too steep. 3 months of modifications, 1 month of construction, and here we are! We did use some editing/cuts in a few parts of the track, but we figured the footage would still be fun to watch!
Whether you're a fan of Hot Wheels, Trackmania, LEGO, Minecraft, marble runs, roller coasters, ASMR, oddly satisfying videos, or trains there's something for everyone to enjoy with our upcoming content! There is someone in 2024❤?...
Yep ur dad , get back to studying son I'm always watching u
My favorite part was riding the fence rail, and seeing the Uhaul truck driving in the background. The higher perspective was cool, and seeing moving things beyond the confines of the race track was a good reminder that there's still a world outside of the fence.
I thought they were prob moving becasue they were tired of all the hammering and screwing from this yard
SAME! Hah! THat was my first reaction to seeing that!
That’s my favorite too! Gave my stomach the flips, really cool.

Mad respect for the camera man who sat in the tiny car and recorded the whole video
Its a go pro
@@jainamendoza169 bro has no sarcasm
@@jainamendoza169 r/woosh
Respect. 🫡🫡🫡 FWI: it’s actually a special Hot Wheels car that allows you to put on/strap a small Go Pro to the body/chassis. Also the car that allows you to do that is basically just a chassis and it’s very unlikely that they could of strapped a go pro to a normal Hot Wheels car because it probably could tip over very easily unless the Hot Wheels car is very wide. The Go Pro footage is also very close to the ground so it is very possible that it could be the special Hot Wheels-Go Pro car.
how can Joe mama stink
This is everything I could have wanted to play with all my Hot Wheels as a little boy. Thanks for making me feel like a kid again ... even for a few minutes.
I'd really like to see a clear glass tube going underwater in the next one with some goldfish maybe. Good job great video
Thanks for the notes! We’ve gotten similar responses about the pool portion of the track, so we’ll be sure to make some changes for the next video! Appreciate the feedback!
I thought the same thing. Also the construction bit was very cool. One of the things that makes model train videos neat and relaxing is the escapism. It's like a little world you get to explore. Setting up scenes/models/dioramas would be pretty rad.
Yea that would be cool
@@96BlackBirdOne for me it felt similar to watch a playthrough of a kart racing game kinda like Sonic Racing Transformed, or something outta a Toy Story short
No goldfish unless they already have fish. Goldfish get as big as koi fish and are a huge responsibility just like owning a dog or cat you need to do a lot to keep goldfish happy and healthy, otherwise they succumb to negligence. people reconsider when asking Content creators about putting any animal in their videos if they haven’t had them before. If this person already has them and takes care of them, then that’s awesome, but don’t keep recommending something that could potentially kill animals just to see a cool shot. :/
Guess you should expect a LOT of new people right here, congrats with the appearance at DDoI 👋

I am also here from DDoI and I am glad I came here. Might have to show this to my dad and see what he thinks.

Having setup around 700 foot of track in my basement when I was a kid I used all 7 boost units to get through it was quite a race. Thanks for bringing back the memory with that lovely track setup. Fun times
I absolutely loved this. I felt a sense of calming to the joy of my childhood when I’d play Stunt Track Driver. Always wanted to see the tracks in that game imagined in real life. You did a great job capturing that element!

Such a visual treat for young , middle, and old people. This is also fulfilling the dream of all 3 by providing the track, boosters, nice property etc. to make this a short yet long 5 min reality! Thank you for all who get to see.
I am going through some tough times in my teen years and decided to go and watch some hot wheel racing videos like I did when I was 7 or 8. This made me feel young again and joyful. Thank you Backyard Racing

Very well done!!!! Lolol Back in the day 1967 circa, we only got 5 section's of track with the loop version and a finish flag gate with our sets. Lolol you a very good job, Im 62 years old and enjoyed this very, very much! Thank you for making an old man relive childhood memories for a few minutes!!!!!!
The amount of work that went into this is crazy.
Absolutely legendary! Amazing you got the GoPro car to go around so many turns. And even buying that many boosters, wow!
Didn't expect to see the GOAT on our channel! Thanks for the kind words man! We really appreciate it!
@@BackyardRacingTV sure thing! Thanks for making the entertaining video!
I was thinking the same thing about the boosters!!! I lost count!! Maybe I need to stock up on those!!
@@ABCAllredFamily its cool until you realize the entire video is mostly spliced together clips.....
@@tagg946 I absolutely disagree with you. Have you ever made a video? That is exactly what making a video is....splicing together clips. Where is it written that all Hot Wheels videos need to be a continuous shot? Do you think it is actually possible to get a continuous shot that is over 2 minutes long with a Hot Wheels track with such varied heights like this. All I'm saying is that until you have tried even a 30 second clip like this, you don't have much ground to stand on.
2 questions: 1. How does the car keep momentum when going uphill through water, while in the pool? 2. Where did you get this this much racing track? (this must have cost a small fortune to just set up logistically)
(1) We had to push the car through the water part. Our original plan was to have a motorized escalator pull it out of the pools, but we simply ran out of time. So, improv it was. In the future we'll use electronic gadgets tho so stay tuned! (2) My brother and I bought it all from Walmart, Target, and Amazon with 7 months of savings between the two of us. We've been planning the whole project for over a year now. The nice thing is we have all the materials and products now to continue making videos. After our next upload which will be up next week, we'll be posting once a week! Can't wait! :D
1- It obviously got some help. The water totally killed its momentum
@@BackyardRacingTV to point one: that's really sad, have you cheated on other parts as well?
Nevertheless it was still pretty cool and nice to look at and at least they’re honest abt it as well and are hoping to solve it in future vids
@@omgwayne it’s not like you could make it go through the water automated especially with the time limit they had
Can we just take a moment to appreciate all the work that was put into this?
That was amazing and I would love to see a "making of" to understand how it went under water and continued, as well as the jump part. This is an excellent video, well done.

I don't get how the underwater stuff happens, is it just for show? Amazing course either way!
it is actually digitally imaged! mostly with cgi lol
I was thinking there's no way it would keep momentum after hitting water. Probably had to be pushed through that part.
@@zau64remember there arw a lot of cuts in the middle whwn the clouds sudde ly teleported so not only is spliced but for sure some parts must have been moved by hand

This was awesome. I really liked the backyard POV, it reminded me of Honey I Shrunk The Kids and also Microvolts, if anyone ever played that game. I'm glad DDoI pointed me your way, subbed for more. Making different scenes using toys is a great idea.
It wasn't complete without the air time and you even managed to pull that off RESPECT ON THE HIGHEST OF LEVELS!

The whole thing was awesome but I like the jumps best. It was so cool to watch the car go through the air, bounce on the landing, almost bounce out yet get back on track and keep booking.
How can you only have 37x subs after this work of art? Subscribed.
dude this video is so amazing, it's so well done, and the race track is put together really well!! my favorite part was the fence and weaving around the trees!!!!!
I want to try my childhood hotwheels there, really nostalgic. The difference is back then I don't have a whole backyard to build tracks like that, that's why I want to try my hotwheels on your track 😆
You could try things with dry ice and color lighting. It would also be cool to see the car pass through smoke shot by a fixed camera. Or, here is a tough one!!! To have two parallel tracks were two cars moving at the same speed film each other!! :) Great fun to watch, brought me back to my childhood!! ;-)

Feels like toy story 🤣 wholesome! Its so beautiful and soothing as well to see the whole video, because its like a trip in a different world. With so many things and funs!
I love this so much, what an inspiration to collectors out there. When I first saw this start on top of a roof, I'm like, yeah this is serious. Then it goes underwater, and I'm like, shizz this is hard-core. Then I realize it goes on for nearly 5 min! This is dedication. It was probably a blast just putting it together, including the trial & error, knowing the the payoff would be worth it, 100%. Keep it up! Cheers from Toronto

How's it go through the water?
Someone pushing it probably
Dude this had me tearing up a little because it brought me back to when I use to race hot wheels with my cousins.
Definitely reminds me of the Stunt track driver games for windows 98. Used to play them for hours! Such fun games for the time
Great job. I saw your Reddit post of when all the tracks arrived. I have two questions. 1. How come the care doesn't flip over with the weight of the camera? 2. Was the recording in slow motion when the car was in the water? It didn't seem as if it had enough speed to get out of the water. Btw I can't wait for more videos.
Thanks for the kind words and we’re really excited for the next track as well! To answer your questions, we built a custom cam-car rig that had a low center of gravity making the turns and boosters possible. Unfortunately, I can’t disclose that information as it took a lot of trial and error. We’ll make a video later in the future on our set up tho! For the water parts, we had to push the car through the track. We initially wanted to have a motorized escalator pulling the car out of the pool, but just ran out of time. It would’ve taken another 2-3 weeks to figure out. Definitely for a future video tho! We just had to wrap things up as we already spent a lot of time on the first track.
@@BackyardRacingTV thank you for saying this! My kids have been trying to get the GoPro through their boosters and we never can. Now I wont go crazy wondering how you did it 😅
