  • I Loved it, yet I was waiting for the details of the female nails that were placed in the mould at the 1st video to see how it turned out :( , generally, I love this art and would probably try to make my family one by myself to see how it would be. Thank you

    • You can compost it! Or pop it out with food waste as it's made from seaweed.

  • I have a question. My son Kayden died at 16 months old from childhood cancer and the nurses at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital casted his hands for me without my knowledge shortly before he died. I never knew they even did it let alone HOW they did it. So I don't know if it was ever sealed as you say or not. But! What I do know is that I was an idiot and never put them in some sort of display case and just had them displayed on his toy box, and since it's been almost 15 years since then, they're now quite yellowed and dirty. Is there anything I can do to clean them, or seal them, paint them whatever to make them look better without destroying them as they're literally all I have left of his little body? Please if you can help me, I would really appreciate it.

    • We're so very sorry to hear about your little boy. We would suggest painting them with white fluid acrylic paint. 'Golden' is a professional brand that we would recommend. This won't cover the detail of his hands but will cover any dirt.

  • I have bought three of these kits and not one came out right. More bubbles and the impossible removing of the colored mold. What are we doing wrong?

    • This is our special recipe stone powder. Similar to plaster of Paris.

    • It depends on the breed and fur type. Long and/or wiry fur can get stuck in the alginate which is obviously distressing for dog and owner. If you have a dog with smooth and short fur, and apply LOADS of vegetable oil to the paw, leg and in between the pads, then you should be able to do it okay.

    • It can be done, but it's tricky! It depends on fur type. Smooth or short fur are okay, but very long or wiry fur can be very difficult as the casting jelly can stick to it. If you decide to give it a try, dunk your dog's paw in a tub of vegetable oil first to really lubricate it.
